Computers: The computer labs at UCF are always accesible and easy to use. You never feel rushed because there are more than enough computers to go around. The labs are in quiet and comfortable seetings, and you are confident that you will receive the assistance needed if there is a glitch in the system. The lab rooms are also very spacious and you have more than enough room to put all of your belongings. I have never had a problem on campus so I give my school two thumbs up in this area.

Scholarships: Being a recipient of Financial Aid here at UCF, in the year and a half I have attended UCF, I have never had a problem with this office. Being able to manage my Financial Aid online on myucf, I am able to track and make sure the process runs along smoothly! They are also very great about sending reminder e-mails to students on a montly basis about any application deadlines. They're great!

Weather: UCF, being located in Orlando, Florida, calls for acceptable and sunny weather all year round. Due to the fact that our winters are short, we are able to engage in great activities such as group trips to the beach, and poolside parties as early as mid-February! Thank goodness for the Sunshine State!

Greek Life: Greek life is often participated in by the majority of students here at UCF. Although there are many Greek organizations, many students that attend UCF grew up in the surrounding areas, and do not feel a dominating importance in joining Greek life for social gains. There are many fraternity parties, but often are not known to the majority of UCF students. A couple hundred people will attend out of the 65,000 or so roughly UCF students.

Weather: We have great weather here in Florida, classes never get cancelled due to weather unless we have storm warnings.

Off-Campus Housing: Living Off Campus – The off-campus housing slecetion is huge for UCF. There is a limited amount of on-campus housing since the school is so large. The off-campus housing provides a great way to be close to the school without living in a dorm. There is a UCF shuttle bus that goes to many of the local apartment complexes. This is very cconvenient because it allows students to not have to drive onto campus everday. They can simply take the bus to and from their apartment. UCF is very helpful with helping students find off-campus housing. They are constantly giving out flyers for Knights Circle and Pegasus Landing which are affliated apartments. They are not even five minutes away from campus. The cost of living off-ampus is very good. The total cost of all the months rent during a semester is cheaper than living in a dorm.

Off-Campus Dining: There is a huge varity of off-campus dining around UCF. The main street leading to UCF, University Blvd has restaurants on both sides. The restaurants range from Applebees to Panera to even little Sushi bars. Also down in Waterford Lakes there even the more expensive restaurants like California Pizza Kitchen. Everything is convenient to campus. One of the best places I have eaten in Waterford Lakes was a Mexican restaurant called Amigos. The food isn't over-priced and tastes delicious!

Facilities: There is a really great Recreation and Wellness Center. The Student Union always has something going on whether it be from the Student Government Association or a Link Loot Event. The library is a great place to study especially on the fourth floor because it is completely silent. There are always campus activities going on around the university. There is a huge variety of places to eat. If a student is on a meal plan they can go to the Marketplace Place or Knightros. The Student Union also offers a wide selection of restaurants. Including Wackadoos, or even Qdoba.

Computers: Good for Personal – I have my own personal laptop so I never use school computers but the wireless access is great and I can still print in the labs from my laptop wirelessly.

Facilities: Always Busy – UCF is always busy. There are constantly events happening on and off campus. It's really a great thing to have, because if you are ever bored there is always something to do. There are also a ton of clubs/student organizations students can get involved with, ranging in almost anything you can think of, so that is definitely a great aspect of the social scene at UCF.
Although it may seem that UCF is always under construction, it really is great because new things are constantly being added to school and it's very helpful. For instance, we just got a new Technology Commons computer lab which is very helpful to have when you need to use a computer or a place to study.
Academics within specific colleges at school can be a little low-key unless they are run by SGA or are promoted by the entire University. Usually you have to ask around and get involved with your college to find about some of the great opportunities they offer for students.

Transportation: UCF is very helpful when it comes to transportation. They offer shuttles to and from off-campus housing apartments, and they also just introduced a new program called Zimride which allows students to car pool to school. UCF also has a KnightLynx bus and offers busing services on the weekends for students wishing to go clubbing/partying in downtown Orlando. It may sometimes be hard to find a parking spot on campus because there are just so many students who drive, but UCF does offer a lot of options in transportation for their students.

Campus Dining: Lots of Options – UCF offers a good variety of food options on campus, and they are spread out all over campus so if you're on one corner of campus you'll still be able to find a place to eat. The dining halls are a bit pricey for any students who wish to eat there but are not on a meal plan, but they are both buffet-style. It can get pricey to eat on campus frequently, but when needed, the options are available and there are some good food joints such as Chick-fil-a and Subway.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I really love it at UCF. The classes I've taken have been great. There is always a lot going on, and it is very easy to get involved.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: I tend to like to eat at the places in Student Union rather than the meal plan areas. The food in the SU tastes better in my opinion, but the meal plan food isn't bad.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The facilities at the University of Central Florida are really above average. The gym is incredible. The campus is goegeous, and has a very relaxing atmosphere. I have yet to go to the school library as of yet, so I cannot really comment on that, but the campus really is wonderful.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Freshman Year – My experience at UCF has been nothing less than amazing. Learning to balance the social and academic aspects of college life can be difficult, especially in a large school like UCF. We have a thriving greek life, so many activities, like sporting events and Knight-thon, that join the entire campus together, and have some really great professors.

4 College Freshman

Weather: The weather in the Orlando area is typical Florida weather. Hot and sunny most of the year with occasional rain showers. It doesn't typically get cold, but when it does it only lasts a few days.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Wide Range of Dining Options – On the UCF campus, there are many different locations to eat with lots of options at each location! In the Student Union you can get Chinese, Italian, American, and Vegetarian or you can go by the Arena for restaurants like Kyoto (campus fav), Dominos, Skewers, Jimmy Johns, and Tailgaters. There are 2 dining halls- Knightro's (by the Arena) and Marketplace (in Ferrell Commons). Both have lots of options each day and both in convenient locations. Finding food late at night can be a problem but Jimmy Johns and Dominos are open late and deliver to campus dorms.

5 College Student

Nightlife: The nightlife in the UCF area is great! UCF offers free buses for students to take on the weekends, that supply them with a safe ride to and from where ever they may be going. UCF also offers cab vouchers for students so that they are ensured a safe ride home. The bars and club in the area are a lot of fun and cater to all ages fine. The parties around UCF are fun as well.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: UCF has a lot of different complexes for students to live off-campus. Many places are extremely close to campus and offer many amenities. The big problem is that many of these apartments are very expensive and hard for some students to pay for.

4 College Student

Computers: Wireless internet is always available. There are also many places to use computers and print for free through the Student Government Association. They have good hours and multiple computers and printers for students to use. The only flaw with computers at UCF is that in some of the dorms, there is no wireless internet, which can be inconvenient.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Overall my experience has been great I've been to different events held on campus, I've played on sports teams I've met people and I've studied a lot.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: There are so many clubs and organizations. Everyone is represented from the LBG to the Christians to Mormons to cat lovers to cereal lovers it's crazy. They have 300+ clubs so we are a very diverse school. There are all types of people there too it's a mixed population from hispanics to indians to Asians to white and blacks it's very diverse.

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I have never had issues with recieving my financial aid.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Like most Universities a lot of drinking goes on at UCF. Tailgating is a huge thing during football season. Aside from drinking, you don't see a ton of drug use.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
