Overall Experience: Its Wonderful – I would have to say that ourschool is very lively, all year long. From football season to basketball season. There are things to do. It is very easy and welcoming to get help from peers and i love that about the environment here. If i were to choose to go here again and do it all over i would. But we never have enough time in the day to do everything!

Drug Safety: Recently the school is trying to pass through the SGA that drinking ne banned during on school events. But smoking has been a major priority for students. But the SGA is also trying to pass another bill to have a smoke free campus.

Campus Housing: It Rocks – Living on campus is awesome. You stay involved in school activities and get to know other students your age and majors. it's th best thing to do your freshman year.

Majors: Interdisciplinary Studies – Aka liberal arts. It's probably the best major to pick if you are unsure about what you want to do. It gives you the opportunity to explore many areas.

Majors: Ucf has a plethora of majors. I changed my major three times and am still able to graduate early. There are so many opportunities here.

Guys & Girls: Lots of People – We are lucky to have a lot of good looking people and it helps that our schOol is so huge. There is a huge social life with a lot of good looking people.

Computers: UCF has a vast number of computer labs. They do get busy during test periods but you can find a computer even so. Also Wi-Fi is widely available all across campus.

Weather: Orlando Is MISERABLE in the Summer! I really was not anticipating the heat here in the summer! UCF can be a little overwhelming to walk around during the end of the Spring semester and through the Summer semester because it's so hot out. We sometimes have weeks where it pours non-stop every day, but it's never too big of a deal. I haven't encountered any hurricane-related problems yet, but I don't anticipate it being a real issue because we're so far inland. The heat is really my only complaint, so if you love scorching temperatures, you're set!

Academics: Education Program – UCF recently built a new Education building, so the teaching classes are not spread out across the campus. The professors are mostly all very caring and informative and willing to help any of their students with any questions they may have. The workload can become fairly heavy in some of the classes, especially once service learning is added to the mix. There are options for online classes, but most students would not recommend taking them unless there's a huge scheduling conflict because they are extremely time-consuming and even more difficult than the face-to-face classes. Most professors include group projects in their curriculum, which can be a bit of a hassle, especially when they try to include them in an online class--one of the most impossible feats imaginable when you never can get in contact with anyone! Overall, the program is very helpful though, and it gets more enjoyable the farther you are into your program.

Academics: Education Professors Are Invested in Their Students – I came to UCF for the Elementary Education program. The Gen-Ed professors were mostly very helpful and nice, but my most enjoyable classes have been for my major. The Education professors seem to all be very invested in the success of their students and have been willing to help outside of class and answer any questions the we have about the class or the topic of education in general.

Off-Campus Dining: There's a wide variety close to the campus. You'd really find everything you need on Alafaya Trail or University blvd. There's food for every ethnicity. The restaurants also have good deals and averagely good prices.

Facilities: The gym is actually very good and it's free.
The health center is okay. I'd rate it a B+
The library is really bad. I cannot study there because I have allergies and it is really humid. There are also molds on some of the books. The library is not well stocked. They could do a lot better for a school with about 60,000 students.
The schools has very little aesthetics. The reflection pond is about the only really beautiful thing. There are a bunch of artificial ponds. Most of the buildings look the same and are rectangular shaped.
UCF buildings also have very bad ventilation. The windows do not open so the same air circulates in most buildings.
One thing I must say though is that most buildings are modern and have up to date technology.

Weather: It's the Beach in Florida – My campus is located in central Daytona Beach, FL. It is hot, humid, and rains a lot. The rain is the biggest issue, as far as weather. To me, rain is not that big of a deal. It is not fun to run to class in the rain, but rain can be avoided most of the year.

Majors: I have not done an internship thus far into my college career. I do plan on having an internship, however, I worry that with the time and responsibility the low pay or lack there of would be unmanagable. My only real concern with finding an internship, is the area that I live in. The town is kind of small and I think I would need to commute closer to Orlando for a decent internship.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Not Too Bad – The best means of transportation here is by car. Most students have their cars. The public transportation in Orlando is pretty bad. The bus system is really crappy. It takes an hour by bus to get to a place that takes fifteen minutes by car.
For long distance travel, buses pick up every Friday and during holidays close to the Gym.
Taxis are very expensive here.
The school shuttles are very efficient. The shuttles run by housing complexes on Alafaya trail and University blvd. Sometimes, I use the shuttle to access nearby business locations like the bank.
We also have a shuttle during the school year that takes students to the closest shopping centers on Friday and Saturday nights. There's also a party bus from here to Downtown Orlando, which is where all the major clubs are every night. I think they charge about $15 for the bus ride and for access to about three clubs. It's a pretty goof deal.

3 College Junior

Majors: The staff has been friendly and helpful in all aspects related to the University. I attend a regional campus and the class sizes are smaller and have much more one-on-one interaction between students and teachers. Financial aid, student accounts, academic advising, etc. are all also available at this campus.

3 College Junior

Majors: Easier Than Expected – The process of getting into the Interpersonal/Organizational Communications major is guaranteed at admissions. There are no other eligibility requirements once granted admission to the University. However, other majors in the same program (Nicholson School of Communications) have academic and extracurricular requirements after admisssion is granted.

Campus Dining: Keeps Getting Worse! Since spring 2011, Knightros has been getting considerably worse. The severs blame it on a change of manager. The manager blames it on reduced funds. Marketplace is a mess anyways. I never go there. The last time I went there, the beef smelled really bad. I'm not too sure it was even beef. UCF needs to do something about the dining halls. We pay for the food!

Greek Life: The greek life in UCF is not very dominant. Apart from your typical group of brothers wearing their Fraternity's shirts, you really don't interact much with the greek life. There are a couple of houses on campus though, but not many and they're plenty of distance away from classroom buildings

5 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: You Have to Literally Look for the Ugly Girls – When you walk through UCF's campus, the first thing most guys notice is the fluency of pretty girls that surround the halls. When you walk into a big class, you will literally have to look for the ugly girls.

Guys & Girls: All Is Nice - Inside and Out – Like most of urban Florida, the population is diverse and attractive. Due to the diverse population, no group outweighs another. Thus, no one is made fun of, and everyone is accepted. Conversation is easy and both the guys and girls display polite attitudes.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: Although the Greek culture at UCF is limited by the school's short history, more senior schools around Florida, such as the University of Florida and Florida State University, have contributed to the expansion of UCF's Greek life. In Florida, many high school friends, who have succeeded to different universities and joined fellow fraternity and sorority chapters, stay in constant communication. This allows for numerous activities to benefit both the students and community on campus and around the state. This is especially true for athletic events and cook-offs to benefit various charities.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: As Pleasing as Disney World – Overall, the feeling around UCF is safe and calm. As in any highly-populated university, there is always some crime. That is why campus and municipal police forces are present. Having the police forces at your convenience provides a safe feel. With little to no disturbance, the appeasing architecture shaping the campus creates a calming demeanor as a frequent student or inhabitant.

5 College Junior

Athletics: It Can Only Get Better – An on-campus football stadium was just built for one of the top-five populated campuses in the country. That large population contributes to hundreds of sport clubs involving graduate and undergraduate students around campus. Having decent weather all year long allows for numerous land and water activities surrounding the Orlando area. On campus, the relatively new recreational facilities receive participation from much of the student body, facility, and staff Residing near Orlando, the most innovative city in America, the facilities as a whole for the University of Central Florida can only get better.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
