Facilities: One of the Largest Universities – With over 56,000 students at UCF, the diversity is incredible. Expect something for everyone here. Literally any interest is going to have many clubs and organization to get involved with.

Computers: The computer services on campus can vary. In the honors dorm, for example, there is a computer lab with free printing right down the hall. In some buildings, however, the computers are archaic and slow. If you're an engineering student - expect top of the line machines in the labs! WiFi covers the whole campus...so no issues there! Personal computers are certainly helpful, but you can get away without one here at UCF.

Transportation: Busses are your best friends at UCF. They'll take you to your housing from different spots on campus and they run on a fairly regular schedule. Although if you have to take the shuttle to the Rosen campus you'll have to wait, and then it takes 45 minutes to get there. If you're going long-distance you'll have to get a Sun Pass because there are a bunch of tolls.

Drug Safety: No Tolerance – There is an absolute no-tolerance policy that is pretty strictly enforced. In some dorms you are allowed to have alcohol in your room as long as you're over 21. Otherwise, if you get caught with any illegal substances you'll be kicked out with little chance of just getting probation.

Athletics: Great Sports – Sports are a building block of UCF. The football team is amazing and in very high standing, and other sports are also well taken care of by fans, managers, and with very nice facilities such as the arena, stadium, and other courts.

Computers: Does Everything Necessary – The computers are quite good, which is to be expected of a more tech heavy school. There are a good amount of locations in the school to perform any tasks that need the computer and most are pre-loaded with the necessary tools such as Microsoft Office and the Adobe series of programs. Two computer labs which are both located in the University's Student Union both have free printing for its students and both are split into a quick print lab and a normal computer lab for more complicated work. The connections in these labs are often good as well, very little did I find hiccups in the connection but that was times of a weak connection day.

However, there can be something said about the wireless connection. While the major factor of this is the many students accessing the wireless network, one big problem is the fact that the connection is often really slow. I have often found times when the connection would randomly cut out and in certain buildings, there is little to no connection at all. But certain areas do provide a good wireless connection so it's not too bad, students just have to know where to go at times.

Being a very tech heavy school, the need for a personal computer and printer is preferable, but not necessary. With the Student Union being 24/5 and a study room that's 24/7, there's always a place to go to if you need the resources.

Weather: Not Too Bad – The main weather we encounter here in central Florida is rain during hurricane season. It affects campus experience because it deters students from wanting to go to class. No one wants to wet and cold listening to lectures.

Transportation: Public transportation at UCF is very convenient and reliable. There are shuttles that pick students up from local college housing apartments and transport them to and from school, free of charge. It saves students time, gas and the trouble of trying to find parking.

Local Atmosphere: Orlando, a Mekka for the Mind – Orlando is the heart land of entertainment in America, just 20 minutes away is the world famous International Drive home to hundreds of attractions and world renowned restaurants. Surrounding campus is a more of a traditional college theme version of entertainment including a great selection of bars and attractions based around the budget of the average student. Orlando also is a magnet for success, opportunity from America's most promising and consistently successful corporations in fields across the board for advertising, hospitality, business, and engineering. The party life matches the caliber of academic expectations as well, t was rated the number nine party school by Playboy Magazine

Weather: Randomly Rainy – It can turn from shine to rain in an instant and with such a large campus getting stuck in the rain on the way to class can get annoying

Majors: Love It – I go to the Rosen School of Hospitality and it is wonderful. Great professors, clean campus, lots of ways to be involved!

Transportation: Awesome Bus Services – The shuttle buses are great, they will transport you from main campus to all the other campuses. So convenient.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Punishments Are Strict – They definitely let us have a good time but they make sure rules are enforced!

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Not Just an Average College – Personally the University of Central Florida is an amazing University. The University is aimed at providing a well rounded education for their students but they also want to make sure that all students are getting involved in clubs and organizations. UCF's main goal is to prepare students with knowledge such as book smarts but also knowledge of real world skills.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: Orlando Night Life – According to the stereotypical college student I should go out often and drink all weekend, but I am one of those students that does not. But I do enjoy going out with friends and dancing. The location of UCF is amazing, right across the street there are a few bars/clubs in which offer different themed nights throughout the week and weekend so there is always something to enjoy. The cover to these locations are reasonable and there is security walking around the bars/clubs to provided a safe environment and to decrease underage drinking.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Best College Ever – I really like that we have alot of degress and professions availability at my college.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Currently I am living on campus but prior to Winter Break I was apartment hunting with my future roommates. The whole experience was exciting and every where we went they provided excellent service and it was affordable and some places even offered an RA for more security. Around our university there is an ample amount of housing to choice from with amazing locations, close to school, affordable, and so much more. The only downfall I have found with off campus housing is the parking, one evening I was visiting a friend and due to the limited amount of visitor parking, I had to park in a residence spot and my vehicle was towed. Not a very fun experience, parking should just be a free for all.

3 College Junior

Diversity: Very Diverse – Ive seen people of almost every background here at UCF! Its a little harder to tell the diversity of sexual orientation, but my roommate (who also goes to UCF) is a lesbian.

3 College Junior

Academics: GPA Is Everything – Im in the College of Sciences as a Biology major. Most biology majors at UCF are pre-med or pre-vet, so thats where a lot of the emphasis and opportunities lie, but as an intended wildlife biologist, I have to dig a little deeper and harder to find opportunities that fit my needs.

1 College Senior

Academics: No matter how much anyone complains about a certain professor they will not remove that professor. They don't care about the students.

2 College Student

Scholarships: School doesn't provide much financial aid so it's essential to apply to all kinds of scholarships.

4 College Student

Campus Strictness: Flexible Policies – The school has its rules and are always enforced, but the rules aren't unreasonable.

4 College Student

Drug Safety: Pretty Safe School – Althought drugs and alcohol can be present, there isn't peer pressure to do it.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: UCF is always trying to build tradition whether it is Spirit Splash or through sporting events. They are always trying to build school spirit in different ways.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Three fourths of on Campus Housing have been built in the last five to ten years. They are fairly new. One great perk is the housemaids that clean the bathroom.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
