Transportation: From the time I started BCC/UCF, I was never impressed with the bus system. They come every hour, and sometimes I have to wait another hour because it interferes with my classes. Also, most of the drivers are not friendly, and they are always exactly on time, or 10-20 minutes late. The only positive is that I ride for free because I carry my student I.D. I do not use the bus system anymore since I live 3.46 miles away from campus; I get home faster by walking than by taking the bus.

5 College Junior

Weather: Sunshine State! Even though it also tends to rain a lot as well, not something the campus can control. I walk, and it is so hot down here that I don't mind when I get rained on. My advice is during the Spring/Summer months, don't have too many activities that have to be held outdoors.

Overall Experience: The Best – The school really is the greatest. I had opportunities to attend LSU and Florida but chose UCF due to its growing reputation and classroom experiences. You will not regret going here!

2 College Senior

Transportation: Having a car is the best option for venturing out into the surrounding areas

5 College Senior

Health & Safety: Secure as Can Be – I've never felt unsafe on or off-campus. Officers, campus security and other resources such as SEPS are offered at UCF to provide safety to the upmost level.

5 College Senior

Facilities: NEW INNOVATIONS – Our gym is spectacular! We've recently updated the gym to offers more equipment and sports such as inside racketball court, etc. We offer so many resources so that students can exceed well academically while having fun.

5 College Senior

Facilities: Always HYPE – UCF campus is unlike any other. The various activities that goes on on campus will only excite you. Each week vendors come from all over the place, selling their goods or offering items near the student union. Greek life and other organization like CAB, or MASS, put on frequent events for ALL students to attend.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Check Out Student Union – Unique dining options are probably what UCF has the most of in addition to excellent technological resources. The Student Union, has a diverse cuisine menu ranging from vegetarian-friendly to a hot spot for meat lovers! Wackadoos is offer delicious items and is a favorite for those who are of age.

Guys & Girls: Diverse Students – Pretty diverse it seems, but I do mostly online classes, which seems to be older students.

Campus Housing: It Was Great. At least when I was a freshman, on campus housing turned out to be an overall great experience. I certainly wouldn't have wanted to live off campus for my first year of college. Being on campus was convenient and made easy for me to be surrounded by people similar to me. It felt cozy and I ended up making one of my closest friends by dorming on campus because she happened to be my suite mate. UCF has a spectacular gym, leisure pool, and overall nice campus to explore. I lived in Nike and I thought it was perfect, Towers seemed like it was too cut off and isolated to have had an enjoyable freshman year. Sharing a room was a great experience in my opinion.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Very Helpful! UCF offers numerous programs to help you succeed academically. The hardest part is prioritizing.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life is good, but it is not the same as it is at other universities. It's not as popular as it is at other schools like Florida State or UF. I'm in a sorority at UCF and I enjoy it.

5 College Freshman

Nightlife: There's a Lot of on/Off Campus Fun Available for Under 21 Students. Even though most of the clubs require you to be 21, there's a lot of school sponsored and also off campus activities available for over 18 students.

5 College Freshman

Transportation: Great Bus Service – UCF provides a good student shuttle service which includes one bus on every rout each 15 minutes. And these shuttles also provide service to near-by off campus housing apartments.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I'm just starting as an graduate student here so I haven't seen much of the sports yet.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Off Campus Apartments – Living off campus in Orlando is expensive. Not many options for people on a budget.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Yay! College. UCF is a fun place, even though they are going to tear down the Plaza in September.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: They have plenty of space, but it could be far and its pricey.

5 Recent Alumnus

Weather: The weather is always amazing. Shorts and tee shirts daily.

Recent Alumnus

Nightlife: Don't really go out much, partied more when I was in high school.

4 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: My school has been very good to me and i've had no issues.

5 College Senior

Facilities: Always Busy – UCF has a state of the art rec center, turf athletic fields for intramural games, a massive library, great student union and so many on campus activities that there is never a dull moment here.

3 College Senior

Transportation: Good but Could Be Better – If you stay on campus, everything is within a walking or biking distance. Off campus living is more difficult with the limited amount of parking on campus. That is why all off campus housing offer free shuttles that run every 15 minutes. They are free and such a help.

4 College Senior

Facilities: UCF has taken a steady effort to keep upgrading buidlings and building new, state of the art classrooms to seperate itself from other universities. The campus looks great and is going to continue to get better. If you are looking for a great time in college, look no further than UCF. With almost 60,000 students here, there are organizations for anyone whether it be club sports, Greek life, music, dance. You name it, UCF has it.

2 College Freshman

Parking: Parking is terrible during the day, there are hardly any spots available in the garages.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
