Nightlife: They Are Tearing Down Our Best College Bars – Orlando provides all sorts of activities to do for 'knight' life. We have a plaza across the street that is unfortunately being torn down due to new apartments. However, once you reach a certain age those bars are gross and boring. Try heading downtown to get a mix of different crowds but remember you need to be 21 to go downtown. They are very strict with id's.

Facilities: Green Campus – We are extremely progressive and noted around the country as being very green. Visit the arboretum if you like to pick your own vegetables and fruits. Each year we add something to our campus to lower energy cost and save the environment.

Academics: Bad Balance of Workload – The professors at UCF are great during office hours and always willing to help. Despite the fact that some professors are very helpful, their tests are just as ambiguous. It is difficult to take those tests during the time period given especially when the answers are all similar and it is near impossible to cancel choices out. Overall the courses are well designed and are aimed at helping students learn, but when the time for tests come the students cant display that knowledge when the test questions are so ambiguous.

Facilities: I could never say anything bad about our gorgeous campus. We have one of the best gyms, football stadiums and all around great appeal when living here. I wish all of Orlando was like UCF.

3 College Junior

Weather: Always Bring a Sweater – Even if the classes are not cold you will need it if you get wet.

5 College Senior

Facilities: The facilities at UCF are amazing. From the gym to the leisure pool to the library, UCF's "benefits" are superb. The gym has a rock climbing wall, the leisure pool has a beach entry and the library comes with 4 floors of computers and quiet places to study.

Academics: Overall Great Program – Everyone is going to have their flaws when it comes to their campus but I wouldn't change the experience that I was able to generate from UCF. Even if you have a garbage teacher there is always a means of getting around it and learning the material from someone who cares to teach you.

4 College Junior

Academics: Teachers Have Job Fairs – Teachers have guest speakers that you can network with so you can get a better job.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: Crowd Too Young – All the clubs let people under 18 in and they are allowed to drink. It's annoying to see 13 year olds drunk.

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Aesthetic People. The people at UCF are really pretty. I mean not Miami Dade pretty, but really pretty. Most of the girls are in greek life, same with all the hot boys. Greek is really big here. The best place to find someone super cute is in a club!

Academics: We Need to Hire Better Professors. I am not sure if it is the same all around the country but it seems at UCF in the engineering department there is a huge inconsistency with professors. There needs to be some sort of standards that all professors need to follow or closer regulation of what a professor should and should not do. For example, some teachers are great at presenting material and giving fair test within the allotted time, others are great at presenting material but when it comes to tests, they are absolutely horrible and a majority of the class fails and the professor must curve to save their butt. Why don't teachers aim to pass people or at least provide a fair chance? Why give homework that isn't on the test? Why not provide similar examples during class that will be on the test? Example homework problem (2+2=4) pretty easy right. Example test problem (please donate one arm to get an A). NOT FAIR!

3 College Junior

Academics: Want You to Succeed – Teachers usually want you to succeed especially in the upper level classes.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: you can live any where on campus that you like the prices just varies and you have to be responsible and have enough money to pay for you dorm you choose

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: They always have funand interesting events to go to and shows also they have their own living greek homes thats very nice

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: House Parties Over Clubs – Most clubs you have to be 18 years old but most people go to house parties because its free and you have more fun in that home environment meeting more people than in a big club.

Transportation: Shuttle Service Is Spectacular – No matter where you are, when you are there, or where you want to go, the UCF Shuttles are there. They can drive you from one side of campus to another, from your friend's apartment to the Student Union, or from your apartment to the Neighborhood Walmart. They run from 7am to 10pm so you never have to worry about walking home late at night. They even have Knight Lynx, which is totally free and drives you to all the night clubs in Downtown Orlando. Best transportation system I have ever seen, hands down!

4 College Senior

Transportation: Buses Is the Way to Go – If you don't have a vehicle buses are the way to go! They have many different routes and pick up stations. Their fees will beat gas prices and the time it takes to park your vehicle.

The bad part about buses, is they have set times of pick up and drop off therefore you must be at the right place at the right time. They sometimes have other stops before your destination. And they can get full at times.

Majors: Major is great it helps me with my caeer goals for the future especially in the health care feild it gives me diversity and my goal is to find a job in the health field and this degree is helping me do so.

3 College Senior

Computers: Labs Are Okay but Bring Your Own Comp. Whether or not there are midterms or final exams, there are so many students at UCF that you will mostly likely be waiting for a computer. If you want to study with a friend, it is nearly impossible to find two computers next to each other. If you need to print, send an email to your self and then go to a printing lab to print. Or, you will be waiting to use a computer to print your document.

Besides, students eat all the time while on the computer, therefore I would use my own. You can always connect to wifi and the speed is okay unless it is midterms or finals when everybody is on.

5 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: all the dinning off campus is great all of the prices are resonable and afforable for students

2 College Senior

Greek Life: Not Really – the greeks dont really dominate the scence they have restrictions that they have to go by

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: the drinking policy at ucf is very strict which is a good thing. Due to all the accidents that has happened from the cause of drinking. we have less police reports and we are seen less on the news

Parking: Morning Is the Best!! You either have to get early classes or make sure you are there 30-45mins before your class because parking can get tough. It tends to become a game to see how fast you can get to an empty space. Sometimes you'll look like a creep following a person to their vehicle as they are leaving but that's the only way you might get a parking spot.

Overall Experience: UCF is just your average university. They are always trying to make the school better for students by being under construction forever! They are building new buidlings and parking garages, which is very helpful for students who don't live on campus. They are also buidling up their satelite campuses around the central Florida area. They have recently stopped accepting visa as a form of payment at the school. So be carefull if this was a form of payment for you.

4 College Senior

Scholarships: Great, Easy, and Fast! Although, I didn't get enough money from financial aid to cover all of my classes and books, it did help cut the cost of attending school. After doing my taxes, I logged on to Fafsa and completed my forms. Unfortunately they wanted a bit more information, so I had to take the time and travel to the school during the summer to finish the financial aid process.

Another thing I didn't like was that they decreased my award amount which made things a bit tougher. Now I am on the look out for scholarships that can help cover the difference.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
