Majors: Hospitality Management – I love my major. I am so glad I chose to do what I am doing. It is very easy and I love people. This major is perfect for me and I am very happy in the industry. I cannot wait to learn more about the different opportunities.

Majors: Hospitality Management – Being a hospitality management student I have to have 3 internships and they make it easy to find one, but it is very hard to get an internship if you do not have any experience in the hospitality industry. They send out a listserv of opportunities, so jump on all the ones you can.

Local Atmosphere: The campus itself has a wonderful energy;there's also quiet places to be found if it all gets to be too much. Also, the school provides transportation to downtown orlando in the form of busses and cabs(I can't remember what the cabs are called, but you can get up to $30 free fare a month). You never really run out of things to do or places to go.

Campus Dining: Popular Options – Depending on were you go on campus, you'll come across Seattle's Best,Joffrey's Coffee(amazing cappuccinos), Einstein Bros Bagels,Chik Fil A, Starbucks,Burger King, Sbarro,Asian Chao, and a few others. There's also a pita place, and Marketplce/Knightro's are where you can use your meal plan swipes. There's also places to find everything from froyo to sushi.

Computers: Perks of Honors College – Regular UCF students have 100 pages free printed per week, and computer labs are mostly available--only occasionally crowded. However, Honors students at UCF enjoy free unlimited printing and an Honors-only computer lab where you can almost always find a spot. Personally, I brought my laptop to campus because I like the security of knowing I always have access when I need it, but if you don't already own a laptop you don't need to buy one specifically for attending UCF.

Campus Housing: Nice but Expensive – The dorms are pretty nice, especially the Towers Communites(I live in Towers III as an Honors College student), but I feel that the dorm prices are a bit expensive. Most people shy away from Towers III because it's the only dorm that requires you to sign a longer lease (Fall,Spring, and Summer C terms) but I'm planning on taking lots of summer classes so I made the leap and chose Towers. I love it here, all in all :)

Campus Dining: We Have Everything. We have everything on Campus from the regular cafeteria "all you can eat" to smoothie king, asian chao, burger king, sbaro's,chi-fil-a, starbucks, einstiens, qdoba's, pita place, so many variety of foods.

Health & Safety: I feel pretty safe at UCF. I always see the campus police on campus and if anything major happens we are notified through email about things that happen on and off campus and in the email we are not only told how to be safe but are also asked for our help if anything suspicious is come upon.

5 College Junior

Diversity: Melting Pot – UCF is really diverse, you can find so many groups to be apart of and even if you just want to learn about that group it's ok because everybody is really embracing and they welcome you with open arms. To sum it all up thier's no way to feel better at home away from home than UCF. GO KNIGHTS!!!

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Restricted Access – It is relatively easy to get into the college of business at my school. But it is restricted access, so by my junior year I need to fill out a paper so they can check my degree audit and make sure I am not one that would ruin their reputation

3 College Sophomore

Majors: No Internship – I haven't had an internship yet because I haven't been at school for long. I plan on finding one very soon.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Wouldn't Change It – Females in business are a growing number. I love the fact that my program accepts me for who I am. I enjoy my business professors and everything they do. Would I change it? No. There are so many opportunities for me to become an intern and have a career. They really look out for my future.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Rain & Lots of Storms – Being located in Florida, UCF is subject to the whims of our 6-month hurricane season. Weather can change in the blink of an eye and depending on where you live and what campus you are attending, it may not be possible to travel there safely.

5 College Senior

Majors: Getting into the Anthropology department was rather easy.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Very Enthusiastic! Football as well as basketball are some of the most highlighted sports at UCF. The fans are so much fun to watch, the team does really well, and the atmosphere is just great! Florida weather isn't always willing to play along nicely, but the teams still power through!

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Depends Where You Dorm – If you have the money, the towers are the best place to dorm, and the nicest. Not to say that the other dorms are bad, but they definitely are not as great.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Not Bad at All – Several of the eateries around campus may seem like they don't serve extravagant gourmet food, but they do great for what they are. Knightros is good. The student union has several places to dine if you want to eat something quickly before or after a class, or to just have a good meal with friends. I'm not sure about the meal plans as I've never used them but my friends say they helped them save a lot of money throughout the year.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The Learning Center – Place to learn everywhere, whether it is socially or academically. The libraries have bad signal reception but good, place to go to study. I know all the secret spots to study there. I love the Late Knight events, because it is a night to chill with friends, get free food and prizes and feel like the world is ours for a second.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Gym Life – The gym is a place for everyone to have fun and release some stress. The football games at UCF are full of spirit and energy that you begin to chant in singing the traditional school songs. You feel that your energy along with the crowds really does guide the football and the energy of everyone around. We usually perform well at every game.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The Guidance in My Growth! I love being able to have many places on campus if I wanted to study. There is the library and its huge 5 floors! And there is a place by the Arena called the SPOT. the Technology Columns, Classroom one Computer Lab, and the Student Union is open 24hours!I have stayed out till 3 am studying for finals, and I was thankful I had place to work. The Professors are all different in their own way, but they all hold a special beauty to them.I have had the opportunity of discussing grade changes with them, and asking them any other questions I have. The Registration process opens up to all of us in good time. the workload is quite reasonable, and the Definition of college.

Parking: Parking at UCF is the worst. With over 50,000 students, there is only ample parking for a fifth of that. They need to expand their parking along with their class sizes!

3 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: Go Knights! I love going to UCF football games. We may not always win, but I feel like a part of the student body by going to the games and cheering on my alma mater!

3 Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: Overall Greek – Greek life isn't that dominate at UCF. There is plenty of frats and sororities, but they are not overbearing. The houses are located on a side of campus, not right in the middle, and there are over 50,000 students, so the majority are not Greek.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Unique but Traditional University Serving – My school is unique in the sense that it has its own traditions. It tries to tie people along in events everyday, for everyone, trying UKnight the school. Whether it is a hype about a football game, or Spirit Splash in a small reflection, the crowd is pulled in awe of having such a spirited community that not only want the students to study but build a couple memories along the way. The gym is great! Having the faculty walking around to make sure you are safe. Living on Campus I am given workshops and informational gatherings on how to improve on different levels of the common things in one lives. Such as getting over habits. My roommates I was randomly paired with has become like sisters to me. And I am about to attend a free research Academy that I could attain a free credit hour and all this cool helpful information on how to be a better researcher. I will be attending this three day event in the summer. I have a student Mentor to accompany my questions along the way. It's nice to know I have someone to be there for me.UCF is really a school of tradition, but with it's own type of fashion in how they UKnight the school together!

3 College Senior

Facilities: Tons of Groups – there is a group for everyone.... anything you think might interest you, UCF has a group for it

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
