4 College Sophomore

Computers: The computers are good at school, as well as the print labs. There are many of computer labs at school and computers are usually readily available for students who need them, as well as readily available print services too.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Waterford Lakes – Waterford lakes has such a variety of restaurants from Italian, BBQ, seafood, to pizzaria's and American cuisine. Everything is located right next to each other and most of the restaurants and bars provide a happy hour for drinks and food.

4 College Senior

Facilities: A Is for Active – The facilities at UCF are awesome. The recreation and wellness center contains six areas: Assisted Workout, Assessment, Fitness Orientation, Group Exercise, Personal Training, and Fitness Programs. It also has two pools: a leisure pool and an outdoor lap pool. The Aquatics program offers swim lessons, lifeguard tryouts, and SCUBA certifications. Not to mention an Outdoor Adventure program that is compromised of five main areas: Adventure Trips, the Challenge Course, Equipment Rentals, Climbing Tower and Lake Claire. There is always something active to do here at UCF.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: It Is What You Make It Not What Makes You. The Greek life at UCF allows the fraternities and sororities to become very active in the community and within the University. It also is involved with many student events and parties, but it doesn't define you as a student. Its not a major deal if you are or you are not in a fraternity or sorority. Greeks and non-Greeks interact very well at UCF because at the end of the day were all here for the same purpose which is to make this a better world.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Lost of Options – There are taxis, buses, and transportation tht takes students who live off campus to the school, buses that take you downtown to enjoy student life. If you feel uncomfortable walking around campus, you can call the program will send someone to escort you, all students can have a vehicle on campus. Having your own car is the most expensive option.

5 College Freshman

Weather: The weather is great in Orlando, almost always sunny and rains just when its needed. The winters cool down, but not unbareably freezing.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: So Much to Do – The fitness and wellness center at UC is amazing. Theres a floating track, lap pool, a floor for cardio, weighlifiting and tons more. All the equipment is clean and kept in shape, the staff is super friendly. There are always events taking place and clubs being created to fit just anyones taste.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Good and Bad – The off-campus offered is generally well kept, and nice. However it is pretty expensive, but it balances out because it is still cheaper than living on campus. There are tons of apartment complexs and housing affiliated with the school within just a few miles.

3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Local Automsphere – I belive this location has alot to offer regardless of what inttrests you have. There are constant outdoor activites offered and announced. Many clubs around. Alot of shopping. Many ways to make friends or get a job. Although the downside is crime rate is a little higher than a normal university location and there is always a significant amount of traffic. Orlando is very busy and always on the go. There is entertainment all around with plenty of choices but precautions are always needed and quiet or alone time is rare.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Never Worry – The entire time I have been at UCF, I've never had cause to worry. There are plenty of emergency posts and escort services are available. Usually there are police cars driving around. I'm always cautious when I walk around by myself late at night, but nothing has ever happened. Also, the security personnel do not hesitate to send out emails to all the students if anything occurs that we need to watch out for and don't hesitate to take precautions if anything suspicious happens.

Parking: Plan Ahead – Parking can be somewhat rough at the campus. But it all really depends on what time you're classes are. If you have an early morning class, you shouldn't have too many problems finding a spot (except on the first and last week of classes). Anytime between 9:30am-2pm is really bad. You need to make sure that you give yourself at least 30 minutes (not including travel time to campus and walk time to class) to find a spot by stalking people who are leaving. It's best to get to school early or try car pooling. Also, that parking passes are relatively expensive.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: VERY ADEQUATE – I THINK THERE IS ENOUGH. THERE ARE MANY THAT LIVE ON CAMPUS AND WALK TO CLASSES

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: They have a ton of beautiful woman at the school. The guys can be a little on the preppy side but still very cool.

4 College Junior

Transportation: It's Good. The public trans is pretty dependable. I find carpooling is an easier option. With 40,000+ students...you can find a ride.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: Good If You Know Where to Look – I've said this before, but this school is HUGE. The amount of students that attend here is staggering. Finding the action at night is just a matter of asking around, any day of the week!

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Better Than Average. UCF is a huge school. With a student body of 40,000 plus students, your bound to have a decent amount of attractive students on either side of the gender sign.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: No Worries About Security – It's not possible to be out of sight of an emergency call-box, for starters. Also, all of the housing buildings require an ID card and a personalized PIN to gain access to the buildings and rooms (at least in the Towers). Campus is pretty well lit at night in the most-traveled places (Memory Mall, Reflection pond, Breezeway by the Library, etc), and if you still don't feel comfortable walking around campus at night there's always the Safe Escort Patrol Services. The number to call is printed on your ID card, and they'll pick you up and drop you off anywhere on UCF campus. (Just make sure you lock your bike.)

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Astoundingly Large Student Population – For a school with 45,000 students, diversity is almost inevitable. We have representatives from all backgrounds, beliefs, and orientations. UCF has a very inclusive campus; anyone can find a niche somewhere. There is a place for every individual to fit in, be it in a club, a sport, an intramural team or just a regular class. I can't say that there isn't any discrimination (no one is perfect), but from my experience, most people don't take notice of physical diversities when they're meeting new individuals.

3 College Junior

Diversity: There are lots of different clubs for different beliefs for students

4 College Junior

Computers: There are lots of computers available at my campus.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Feels Safe – Walking on the UCF campus I never feel unsafe. I just stick with a group of people at all times.

3 College Senior

Parking: Permit costs are slightly more than other Florida campuses. People complain about not being able to find parking but that is just because they want to park right next to their classes instead of in a half empty parking garage a little bit further away.

4 College Senior

Weather: Florida's random thunderstorms and intense heat can make walking to class not so enjoyable but the campus is fairly close together so it's not a huge problem.

3 College Senior

Athletics: School support is great for basketball and football. All of the sports do good, they just don't have as much support.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: UCF doesn't have different dorms for different classes of students. You usually get what you apply for. All of the dorms are nice and well-kept, but they are just that, dorms. Theres isn't anything special about them so I would prefer to live in an apartment.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
