Transportation: Mediocore Public Transhportation – The shuttle system is very convenient and runs quite frequent from 6am to 11 pm Mon- Fri. Public transportation on the other hand runs often but only to a limited area. Not many students rely on buses or taxis to get around. Its essential for a student to have a car.

Academics: Psych Majors – I studied Psychology at UCF for my undergraduate experience. I loved studying psych at ucf ofcourse since it's my favorite major but also because there are so many opportunities. You can work with a lot of research departments on campus to get a good feel for what you'd like to do. The work load is sufficient enough to learn yet not overwhelming...Choose your professors right, check out ratemyprofessor.com for every semester.

4 College Junior

Computers: Good Resources – The access to computers at UCF is good. There is a large number of computers on campus.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Greeks Are Around – There are greeks that walk around at UCF some apparent some not so apparent. The people that I've met in greek life have been down to earth and nice.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: So Many People! There is a large selection of "types" at UCF. More selection is always a plus in my eyes!

Parking: Sometimes Difficult – You should always to prepare to leave your house a few minutes earlier to avoid the difficulties of parking.

Athletics: The university gym appeals to the eyes of it's athletic students. It motivates and encourages them to thrive for the best physical and physiological shape of their lives.

Facilities: Knight Worthy – The facilities at UCF are really good. There are different gyms on campus for basketball, volleyball, and weightlifting-all that the YMCA has to offer-and then some. The student union (the HUB) was newly renovated a few years ago and is very modern. There are fast food joints, places to study, convention rooms, an art gallery, and a record-breaking fish tank. It's a very popular hangout.

Majors: Average Instructors – I really enjoy the College of Business here at the University of Central Florida. The one thing I am not too fond of is the class sizes, and some of the teaching styles of the majority of the teachers. I feel that with the class sizes being so large, many teachers do not take the time out to actually focus on the students learning, and they are more focused on just doing what is required for the curriculum. The facilities are absolutely great and I love being a business student. As far as jobs and internships, I feel that my Fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, Inc, has definitely helped me with my internship opportunities as well as jobs, and getting involved on campus.

4 College Senior

Majors: Pretty Straight Forward – Getting into the Business Finance program was very easy. Once you complete all your Business Core Classes with atleast a C, you are automatically admitted to the college of business. The best tip I would offer for submisssion would be to take prerequisites as soon as possible and even do dual enrollment in high school, and as many Honors classes as possible, so that you can come into college with credits.

4 College Senior

Majors: Finance Student – I am very happy about the Business Finance program I am in at UCF. If I could do it all over again I definitely would because I enjoy the curriculum, the school, the atmosphere, and most of all the beautiful campus and the students that attend. In the future my ultimate goal is to be a financial advisor for professional athletes. The biggest concern I have with obtaining this job, is getting to know the right people and obtaining relevant experience in order to become successful with my career goals.

Majors: No Challenges! getting into the program is very easy! just study and you will do great and get right into the major. everyone wants to help you succeed at the college.

Majors: Benefit Operation Administrator – I am currently working for Aon Hewitt as an intern. I am getting paid 12/hr for 20 hrs a week. It is a very flexible job, and allows me to work and go to school. I am enjoying the program so far.

1 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Trouble in the Process – I have had a very bad time trying to receive financial aid for my University. I still don't even know if I'm going to get it. Everything is very confusing and papers get lost and there is just a huge lack of communication. I am in desperate need of financial aid and it is hard to tell if I am going to get it. I would suggest starting very early and checking every day and calling and doing everything you can to understand and work on it.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Strict on the Right Stuff – The police force at UCF is great in my opinion. They are very strict about speeding, underage drinking, and doing drugs. Things that I think police should be strict about. They don't tolerate speeding because people have been injured do to this at UCF in the past. The underage drinking is not tolerated but they have services to help people get home safely if they need it. It's nice because even if you are underage and drinking but you're trying to do the right thing and get home safe of get someone home safe the police will go easy on you or overlook the fact that you're drinking because you are being responsible about it. The drugs are not tolerated at all and can get you suspended or expelled. Punishment that I think is justifiable.

Facilities: UCF is gorgeous all around. The campus is very large but it's full of amazing sites. The student union is basically the center of all the hanging out and socializing of students. That is if you are not involved in any of the great campus activites they have. The gym is astounding; 150,000 square feet. Most everything at UCF is new and large and simply wonderful. It really is one of the best schools most people have never heard of!

4 College Junior

Facilities: Gym Is HUGE – This is, hands down, the biggest gym that I have ever seen and been to. I love it and I think that it offers a great variety of workout classes and equipment.

3 College Junior

Diversity: Very Diverse – Although this school is fairly large and very diverse, many students remain segregated. I've noticed that many people like to be around people who share their ethnic background and are not as open minded as I thought. Therefore, it can seem as though it is not diverse. To me, diversity means many of difference backgrounds together but if the students choose to segregate themselves, the diversity become irrelevant.

Greek Life: Fighting Stereotypes – I love the greek life at UCF. But there are some organizations that feed into the negative stereotypes that cause every organization problems. Once one organization feeds it then all get punished. Also there is such a limited selection on multicultural organizations because the Diversified Greek Council won't bring any new organizations to create a new selection of organizations. Little respect is given to organizations not on councils to the point where they aren't event recognized by the Office of Student Involvement.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Chain Vs. Local Restaurants – Restaurants are easy to find and prices vary from affordable to dinner-date expensive. Most students now go to some of the Hibachi restaurants or buffets near campus. Waterford provides a huge selection a various foods from healthy to tasty to even something new. One unfortunate reason why I don't grade it an A is because some local restaurants close after a few years because their main clientele has graduated or moved on to a different place and they lost business. Sometimes the local restaurants con be the best.

Off-Campus Dining: Always Have a Full Stomach – Even though on-campus we have a variety of food choices, off campus has hundreds more. From popular fast food joints like Dunkin Donuts or Taco Bell, to nice food hang outs like Chipotle or Tijuanna Flats, there's something for everyone. Even better? It's all right down the street form campus, making it one of the most convienent things to do on the weekends with friends!

Drug Safety: Nothing but Safety – UCF, while being a big university, is not, however, big on drugs and alcohol. We have strict policies regarding such, and crossing these lines can have serious consequences. We are also a smoke-free campus starting this fall, and if that line is crossed, you will be 'rewarded' with a serious fine.

Local Atmosphere: Something for Everyone – Orlando in itself is a huge city, so of course its main University will be big and bustling as well. There never really is a dull moment within the walls of UCF. The Student union is the place to be, along with the many shops and food joints along the way. Be sure to check out the arena too, it's really booming!

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Rain, Heat and Humidity – It rains a lot here in Florida. Luckily it's rare if rain lasts for more than a thirty minutes so you can usually just wait it out. Also when it's not raining it can get extremely hot and humid. I suggest getting good sun block and carrying a small umbrella in your bag or car.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love UCF it is awesome here. I feel like i lear something new about the campus everyday. Going to UCF for me everyday is like a mini adventure only because it is so big and has so many things to do. UCF has so many different clubs and organizations one can get involved in. I also am in love with the gym becuase there are so many classes to take as well as equipment.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
