Greek Life: Greeks Are Everywhere – Greek life is everywhere on campus, but it's not bad. You don't have to participate or join if that's not your prerogative. No one tries to persuade you into joining or outcasts you for not being apart of their group. Most Greeks do stick with each other, but they are sociable. Also, there are so many clubs and organizations on campus that you can join anything. Most students join at least 3 clubs.

Drug Safety: View of the Drug Scene – It has gotten better with the "no-smoking" policy.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: A Quick Synopsis – Central Floridians love to have fun & be joyous!

Health & Safety: Pretty Safe – UCF takes pretty good care in the health and safety of its students. There are crime in the school but there are few and far between and they are usually due to people who fail to lock their doors and such.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: Good Meals in Short Distances – UCF is central to many great dining areas. Just down the road, you have an entire street of varied restaurants that caters to every type of food and budget (Taco Tuesdays). Also nearby is a plaza with even more restaurants.

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: Drug-Free Campus – Because of the Drug Free policies put in place this year, there's little to no drugs on campus.

Guys & Girls: Girls Are Hot – The girls are very attractive, intelligent and friendly.

Parking: The parking on campus can be difficult. Make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your class or else you won't be able to find a parking spot. Sometimes you have to come earlier. Say you have a class at 12pm, it would be good to get here by 10am because all the parking spots will be taken. A regular student permint costs about $48. There really is no need for you to use a car on campus because you can walk anywhere you want to go within a 10-20 minute range. If you live off campus in an apartment complex, there are shuttles that will transport you there.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There are many places where one can eat on campus. There's the main student union where there are a variety of restuarants from Sbarros to Asian Chao. Then when you go to the breezway there is Chick-fil-a, which is very popular with the students. We also have two dining halls throughout the campus. One is in Ferrell Commons and the other one is by the towers called knighros. These are buffet style and you can eat whatever you want and take some back to your dorm if you want to save for the next day. They offer salad, a main meal, soup, breakfast, and dessert.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Great Place to Study – University of Central Florida has many things to do. There is a mall just 10 minutes away from the university that all the students go to and hang out. It's for all ages and there are many restuarants and entertainmnet for everyone. On the campus it self there is a huge gym and many different activities and clubs that we can join and meet new people.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: UCF has the best dorms because none of them are traditionally-styled. This means you have a bathroom connected to your dorm rather than having to roam the halls in a towel in front of other people. There are over 400 clubs and organizations which each come together as a family. There are several fraternities and sororities for those interested in Greek Life. The Rec and Wellness Center is ridiculously awesome, especially our two-story rock wall and group sessions! Not to mention the unlimited food choices from tons of restaurants and the cafeteria for those who can afford a meal plan.

Drug Safety: Drug Scene – Ucf is very strict when it comes to the use of drugs, alcohol, or people being peer pressured. They have security roaming the campus to make sure every thing is okay, And the school also has hotlines, to help anyone who's in need, or to prevent danger. Also before anyone becomes a student they must complete courses regarding drugs, alcohol and ext... Failure to break the rules will resolve in consequence'

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Transportation at ucf is great! they have different locations around campus, that will pick you up and drop you off. They even have a shuttle for local markets. AND, if you live off campus, no problem. Most of the off campus housing is affiliated with Ucf, so they will pick you up from your home on the hour, and take you to school and back, how convient is that !

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Spirit for All Sports – All our sports have their fans. We have one of the largest student population in the country. Everyone goes above and beyond to cheer for our school's sports. Team spirit is as big as our school spirit.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Good Studies, Good Times, Good People – When I first applied to UCF, it was only because I knew that I wouldn't really be able to go anywhere else due to the distance. It was my last resort, so to speak. I never thought that I would end up loving it here. The first month or so was a little rough, especially with getting used to new teaching styles and disciplining yourself, but it was so rewarding. Even though not all the professors are standing ovation worthy, they have many resources so you can at least pass your classes. The people are, most of the time, so friendly and personable. I have met countless people with mutual friends, and it seems as if everybody kind of knows each other, especially within a specific area of study. There are plenty of things to do and so many diverse student organizations that you can be a part of, and it is just overall a great school. I thought that I would be ready to leave after my sophomore year, but as the end of it is readily approaching, I do not think I am.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
