Majors: Relatively Easy/ – The process of getting into my Elementary Education Major was very easy. They told me what i had to do and told me where to do them at. They also helped us get the things we needed in order if we needed help.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Game Design – The teachers are extremely helpful if you are having problems.

Off-Campus Housing: Off School Housing – If you know where to look the housing can be very affordable.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: University of Central Flordia – The campus is extremely beautiful and is very modern.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Easy to Get Around – Everything is conveniently located to anything that is needed. There are all kinds of student apartments within walking distance. The Rosen College is 30 minutes away, which is not good, but they do have a bus that goes from the main campus to Rosen College campus almost every 30 mins which makes up for it.

Local Atmosphere: From downtown Orlando, to the theme parks of Disney, Sea World, Universal Studios, to lights of nightlife (i.e. Martini Bar), to the many shopping places, Orlando is the best!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Good Places to Eat – There are several places to eat and I like being able to eat outside. There are also many places to eat right off campus down University.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: Some Great Instructors – There are a large variety of instructors at UCF. Some are great teachers Others just read out of the book, and really don't teach anything. The ones I like best are the instructors who really know their subject and actually teach instead of being monotinous and reading out of the books.

Athletics: Great Sports – Ther Knights are awesome! There are a variety of sports at UCF, including foootball, soccer, baseball, basketball, and softball.

1 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Expensive and Not Much Variety – There aren't many options for college students. The few options that are geared toward college kids are very expensive. But if you have the money, the apartments are very nice and are usually all inclusive. They are also fairly close to campus.

4 College Senior

Weather: Hot Hot Hot! It's always hot, even in the winter. Everyday is a pool day!

3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Orlando Fun – There's always something fun to do. Lots of free events if you look for them. The university hosts many fun and free on campus events throughout each semester. The campus is huge! The traffic in Orlando can be pretty bad depending on the time of day.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Great Food! Dining off-campus can be a lot of fun! The restaurants aren't too expensive. My personal favorite is Kyoto, a Japanese-style restaurant. Definitely go there for lunch, the price is much cheaper!

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Orlando Has a Lot to Offer! There are a lot of activities to do in Orlando. There are clubs, bars, malls, and theme parks. You can never be bored here! However the theme parks are all 30-40 minutes away from campus.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: A Lot of Options, Some Are Shady – I personally live off campus. I love my complex, and there are a lot of options. However, a lot of the apartments in the area can be kind of shady. I recommend doing lots of housing tours!

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love UCF. It's a huge school with a lot to offer. Whatever your interests may be, UCF has something for.

3 College Junior

Weather: It can get really hot in Orlando, but that's Florida for you!

3 College Junior

Diversity: Diverse Enough – The majority of students are white but there are alot of students at the school that come from different backgrounds.

Recent Alumnus

Parking: Not Sure – I will be enrolled for online degree, parking won't be an issue

Recent Alumnus

Weather: Never Been There – I have never been to Orlando but heard it can get pretty cold there

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: UCF is a great school. I enjoy going to class, and the professors are very helpful. I do however, hate parking at UCF. It's awful. But that's my only complaint!

3 College Junior

Scholarships: My school doesn't give me any issues as far as financial aid goes. Tuition is just so expensive so sometimes the money isn't quite enough, but that isn't the schools fault.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: They are very roomy, and I was not expecting this... the shower is terrible! It sprays everywhere and the whole floor ends up drenched in water. But it is safe and I feel happy here.

3 College Freshman

Weather: it has been non stop rain, I thought Orlando was sunny! I know it rains everywhere but there are not many covered walkways so you get soaked getting to class, and if you live on campus you are far from them so bring a poncho and umbrella! But if it isn't rainy it is HOT!

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: No matter your mood or your craving, there is something for you to munch on in the UCF area. Most places have a great atmosphere, provide specials, and have student discounts. There is such a spectacular variety of restaurants that it's always easy to find somewhere to go. If you love sweets like I do, check out the frozen yogurt/cupcake place called Sweet! There is a flavor to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth!

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
