Overall Experience: UCF has been an amazing school to attend. The teachers are excellent when you go for one on one time to learn. Alot of my teachers have reached out helped students to get jobs once they have graduated and I believe that is awesome because that means the teachers are not only here to get paid but to also interact and help students which means they are dedicated teachers.

Transportation: The UCF bus system is actually one of the best ways to get to and from school considering the costs of a parking decal and also when the traffic gets backed up on Alafaya you won't be wasting your gas and getting frustrated, instead you sit with ease and air condition as the driver takes care of everything.

Computers: Computer Labs – The computer labs on the Rosen campus are always open as long as their isn't a class going on. There are also additional computers in the library if anyone needs to use one so the computers are always accessible and available to use.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Would Do It Again! I would most definately do my undergraduate years all over again. I was a cheerleader all four years and got to experiance football games and basketball games up close. I enjoyed all the classes and felt the professors prepared me well for my future endevours. There was always something to do around campus to keep my occupied and involved in the community.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Very Diverse – I have seen a wide variety of people and students on campus. There are both sides of political parties, various races of people, and ethnicities. However, I see many of these groups mingling and working toward a common goal when it comes to the best interest of the school.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drinking During Football – I see more drinking during tailgating of football games. I rarely notice it on campus, however, I do think that being with other people in that scene influences others.

3 College Sophomore

Parking: It all depends on your timing. If you come early, of course there's parking. If you come during class time...yea good luck. Parking during the summer season is a lot better than during the spring and the fall.
I would say to give yourself about 15 minutes time before your class. Also, don't look for the closest spot. Just look for A spot.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Amazing Professors – The professors are so helpful that you just can't help but love them! They're always happy to write recommendations and help whenever you ask. That's the key thing though. You have to ask to recieve help. I'm a french major and in one semester I learned more french then I could in one year back in high school.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Do What You Should – As long as your not doing something you shouldn't be doing you have nothing to worry about. If you aren't you do the police are there to keep you safe.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Healthy and Safe – We just became a smoke-free campus! And yes, we do allow drinking on campus but it's responsible drinking! I have yet to hear a bad thing occur because of our drinking rules. There are late night shuttles if you're on campus late and your car is half way across campus.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There are many options but I find my self eating at the same places never trying new things. we have comfort food, mexican and other options.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: It's Florida, so there's a lot of sunshine. It does rain at random times though.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: There are computers everywhere but during peak times it might be hard to find a computer and a place to print.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: Not Bad, but Not for Me. Stock fast foods joints in addition to campus food, while good and mostly inexpensive it hardly changes. You can only eat the same things so many times. The on-campus dining does offer buffet style eating though.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Lots of Eye Candy. If I had a dollar for every attractive girl or guy at UCF I wouldn't need scholarships. There are a wide assortment of styles and to accompany such a melting pot of a student body. For the most part everyone is rather relaxed, though there is drama between people I haven't noticed it as a frequently as at other colleges.

Always something going on to meet new people.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: I have only been here for the summer, so I will be able to judge better in fall, but I have barely seen any evidence of greek life on campus. I know not all students are on campus for summer, but they should still have events going on and advertise them!

4 College Senior

Parking: More Spots Are Needed – My first classes I have taken on campus are summer classes, and I have been able to find parking fairly easily. However, I have heard that this will not be the case for fall, especially for the first few weeks. UCF has a lot of students that I do not think there is enough parking for.

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: Great Safety! I do not live in campus, so I feel like I do not know as much as someone who does, but whenever I am on campus my experience is drug free and I love it! UCF is also going smoke free this fall, which I think is fantastic!

4 College Junior

Academics: UCF offers so much outside the classroom help, professors always have office hours available for one on one discussion. Study Knights allow for easy group get togethers for study sessions outside of the normal library times. Tutoring is always an option, and your classmates are always willing to help it seems.

Registration as a whole is easy once you've gone through it once or twice, a pain using the UCF's online system but not horrible.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: Great Environment! Everything on campus seems to be in order and very organized, and I don't think this can come without enforcing some very valuable rules!

1 College Junior

Academics: In Regards Only to the Digital Media, Game Desgin Program – Let me say that University of Central Florida is a great school. However, the Digital Media program as it stands is currently a waste of time and money for any one seriously contemplating a professional career.

You will NOT gain industry level experiance through this program, you must practice and acquire these skills on your own. The basic skills that are taught through this program can be self taught in a few weeks time and with a tenth of the money. The only difference is you won't have a piece of paper, saying so from the university.

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing, when not exceptionally expensive, is rather bare bones when it comes to furnishings and amenities. Several places have a track record of having slightly less than an acceptable safety record, and are still very expensive.

My personal experiances is from The Pointe at Central.
+Close to second cheapest living option (student housing)
+ Pool and basketball courts
+Staff is helpful

-bare bones no furnishing.
-Outdated appliances that are prone to breakage despite being taken care of.
-Contracts will try to screw you over.

Computers: Plentifull but Not Powerfull – The computers at this campus are very easy to find, use, print, and etc. They are just fine for basic needs but fall short on serious computational requirements.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Computers Aren't Going Away Anytime Soon – As a computer science major I am learning technologies of today and tommorow. It's a great avenue to use all of the higher level math classes I have already completed and I find it fascinating how computers are literally involved in everything we interact with today.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: It's a Big School – UCF is the second most populous university in the country, but the manner by which they handle such an enormous number is second to none. Often times class size truly isn't that noticable, and beyond the lower level classes they do an excellent job sifting the large number of students into manageable class sizes.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
