4 College Junior

Facilities: I'm a fan of the facilities at UCF. Everything always looks clean and new.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Baywatch Girls – There are plenty of girls you meet on campus but it helps that the temperature is hot 75 percent of the year. There are extremely diverse range of girls and the handful of non-social can't throw away that majority of them love to party

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Alot to Do – There are sporting activities, shopping, concerts, downtown areas, beaches near by.

5 College Junior

Weather: It can be hot sometimes, during summer you always have your regular afternoon showers, and winter is not very long.

5 College Junior

Academics: So far the classes seem to fit my schedule. They offer night classes online classes mixed mode where a portion is in class and the rest is online.

5 College Junior

Academics: Always Available and Great Support – So far anytime I've needed help a staff member has always been able to help. They make the process of everything very simplisitic

5 College Freshman

Transportation: Cabs Are Great – The Cabs in the UCF area have a deal with the university to use an ID card as a valid payment source. This is due to the price already being taken into our tuition cost.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Spirit Splash – Spirit Splash is a great unique tradition that UCF does. Every fall during homecoming week, the fountain is open to people to rush it and just have a crazy time in it.

5 College Junior

Diversity: UCF offers a variety of student organizations for support with transfer students and students from other countries.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: A Lot to Do – UCF's campus life is pretty good and I never seem to not be entertained. Whether it's ultimate frisbee or indoor soccer, or trying something new, I'm always having a good time.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Took a While, but Still Worked Out – I sent my FAFSA form back in June, and they claimed that they hadn't received it yet. However, they finally got it and cleared my record of it and got me the financial aid I needed.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There is a variety of off-campus dining. Most are in driving distance.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Great Mentor/Advisor – I am lucky to work closely with my advisors, committee members for my dissertation. They offer great advice and keep me on schedule with support along the way.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Good School – UCF has a great learning environment and many academic and non-academic activities going on constantly. I feel UCF is too big. It is easy to get lost in the shuffle when trying to maintain relationships with professors, advisors, and even students. I love Orlando but in the future I would love to see the city and students show more unity and school pride.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: A Great Memory – The dorms I stayed in were fantastic as a freshman in Sumter hall, they were set up in a format so that social interaction was very hard to miss. The space in the room was fine, cost wasn't the best but then again what dorm is?

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The Land of Opportunity – I came to University of Central Florida because they're amazing nursing program. The passing rate for the certification of nursing is 98% the first time, and 100% the second time. The professors are very helpful and care that you succeed and perform the the best of your ability. The nursing program at UCF also has several resources and the best technology advances to make sure the students here will become the best nurses they can be!

3 College Freshman

Parking: Limited, a Lot of Tickets Given, but Close. During fall semester the parking is very limited but most are very close. You do have to be careful where and when you park certain places though, the campus police are very strict.

4 College Freshman

Weather: Sunny, Warm and Not Too Humid – During the summer it is nice and warm, with a few showers, and during the winter it is not too cold.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Clean, Nice, Close – The off campus housing in the UCF area is great. Very close and safe!

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Process Was Easy – The school gave me a scholarship because of my good grade. I wish there were more that I could apply for and that I had a chance of receiving.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There Are Countless Options! Off campus housing here is very easy to find. There are many options within five minutes of the main campus. Their pricing vary and most are very nice.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I Love It – My experience here a UCF has been awesome so far. I have met a lot of new people. There is always something going on here at the school that keep the students entertained ob their day off from studying. There are always football games, comedy shows, and concerts that are always fun to go to.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Many Fun Things to Do – There is always something going on in the school and in Orlando. The school is only 40 minutes away from amusement such as Disney World and Universal Studios. It's always fun to go there!

Athletics: Knight Territory – UCF shows an undying amount of school spirit. The support for varsity sports is demonstrated campus wide. You will see students sporting UCF Jerseys to support their team. UCF is host huge tailgating parties before every big game. UCF is home to one of the most acclaimed campus traditions in the country, spirit splash. During spirit splash are at the loudest and are ramped up beyond belief. As far as recognition goes, UCF is on it's way to becoming an elite entity. This is demonstrated by 20 win basketball seasons, defeating big rivals in football season, and breaking records at track meets. The facilities our clean and offer the newest technologies. We also have the benefit of crafty coaches who structure our athletes. UCF's only fault is lack of a wrestling, track, and rowing team. UCF is still growing and will soon become a juggernaut in the sports world.

Majors: The Perks of an Internship – Internships are an incredible asset to a student who plans to attain experience in their desired career. Internships offer an array of benefits such as experience, pay, and responsibility. Internships immediately put you in the working environment. You will work with managers, executives, and other employees in that industry. You also have the added benefits of shadowing these individuals. The experience you gain working with these individuals will resonates well with your resume. Working internships gives a student to work hand-on. In a competitive job market, an internships increase your value substantially.

Not all internships offer pay, but many do. In fact, some internship offer benefits like housing, discounts, and networking. These benefits make an already great opportunity better. This also can reduce some of the stress of working and being a student.

As a future Advertising major at the University of Central Florida, it is imperative that I attain an internship. This experience is incredibly beneficial for my own job outlook. UCF is also located in a great location for internships, Orlando Florida. This puts me in the middle of one of the biggest tourist cities in the United States, as well as the tourist attractions. There are many working locations such as theme parks, restaurants, sporting areas. Starting these internships give my head start when I graduate from UCF. I also get to apply what I learned from my classes.

Finally, an internship gives me added responsibility. This will poise me for the reality I will face after graduating. It is a commitment that I must keep, and will reflect my working effort. A combination of taking orders, arriving promptly, and working efficiently will give me structure. It also allows me to develop my time management skills as I balance work and school Internships are incredible opportunities for students.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
