Computers: The computers are great. They are up to date, the labs are open often, there are plenty of computers. The connection for the wireless is tricky to figure out and goes in and out on your laptop while you are in the classroom so you will want to use the labs sometimes.

Nightlife: The school throws some pretty fun social events. The night life around town is pretty much for 21 and up downtown and around campus if you are interested in drinking. There is a great place across from campus called Natura for drinks, coffee, and tea. They have live music, comedy, etc. There is a great pizza place called Lazy moon across the street too. Transportation is not that great. Orlando is really spread out and the buses take a long time.

Off-Campus Dining: It's All Just Delicious...And Cheap! There are plenty healthy as well as fast-food restaurants around here. Most of it is geared towards students, so there is nice college vibe to everything.

Local Atmosphere: There's No Opportunities to Be Bored Around Here! If you just go out and explore the campus and the areas around the campus, you will find something to do. Trust me on this! The school offers plenty of fun student activities i.e. Late Knights with Djs, good music, free prizes, and free food. You can never have too many free stuff! Oh and they also offer awesome concert during homecoming/splash week. There are a few good 18+ clubs around here if you want to dance the night away. And the restaurants are even better!

Health & Safety: Pretty Safe – I have always felt safe walking around campus. I've noticed that there are always one or two cop cars driving around campus at night to ensure safety of students who may be out there studying at the library or just hanging out. There are also plenty of bright yellow emergency assistance posts stationed in every corner of the campus (you can't missed them!). The school also lists every needed emergency/crisis phone numbers on the back of your ID card. So you're pretty much well protected around here if you ever need help.

Parking: You have to strategically plan your trip to school if you want to find parking fast and arrive to class on time. Even though the school has built new parking garages, it is still pretty busy and hectic all year round. As an alternative mode of transportation, I would suggest taking the shuttle if you're commuting.

5 College Junior

Facilities: Fun Campus – UCF is huge. It's got shuttles that will take you all over the gigantic campus, which is a relief for those of us who commute all over. The library, bookstore, and student union are huge and easily accessible, and that's not mentioning the campus's own separate Barnes&Noble, arena (which is also used as one of Orlando's best concert locations), and decorative artwork sprinkled between academic buildings. Even outside of these, it's a pretty nice place to just go for a walk.

Majors: Im a little stuck in terms of a career path at the moment, but that has little to do with the school itself. I'm just beginning at this school, so I have yet to begin truly studying for either of my two majors. I hope that, in taking a few of these classes to start (in English and Psychology), I'll develop a clearer idea of what I want to do in the long term. In the meantime, all of the advisors I've met with so far have been awesome and helpful. I just hope I can make up my mind!

5 College Junior

Majors: Easy Enough – To choose your major, you just have to sign in to your online school account, and navigate it to a page that lets you select from the majors available. I haven't had any problems changing (and rechanging!) my majors yet. After that, you check out your required classes for the major you chose by looking at your "degree audit" on the same website. And then you enroll and are on your way!

3 College Junior

Transportation: The Same Wherever You Go – It is true that there are many buses taking students to many different places, so for that reason, the Transportation system at UCF gets an A. However, there is only one or two buses total going to some apartment complexes and only one or two going downtown or other places in Orlando. For that, UCF gets a C. So in total, UCF receives a B when you put them together.

5 College Junior

Academics: Doesn't Exist – This grade, at least as far as the religious studies program doesn't exist. It is not there simply because the Board of Directors probably thinks nothing is perfect. I agree with them, that things can be improved on. It is just sad that in high school A+'s were something to be proud of, but now are shunned from collegiate success.

4 College Junior

Facilities: UCF does a great job of maintaining the campus grounds and facilities.

4 College Junior

Computers: Most computers on campus are updated regularly and run the latest operating systems, software, etc.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Clean and Sanitary – I generally enjoy the campus of UCF. Most restrooms are usually clean and most things are generally functional.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The first year advisors are always willing to help it is comforting to know they have your best interest

5 College Freshman

Parking: The parking garages always have lit up signs to tell if there is space!

5 College Junior

Majors: I Don't Regret Anything – My career goals is to be a track coach that teaches some classes at the university. Public administration allows me to know the government as well as the buisness world. I am not worried about finding a job because I know I work harder than anyone. As long as you do that consistently and be persistent then there are tons of opportunities for you.

3 College Junior

Majors: I am new but I think it wil be great. My program hopefully will combine my love for government and my love of public work.

3 College Junior

Majors: It Was Ok – They were relatively helpful. The only problems that I had was that I ended school in June instead of May and now signing up for classes all of the ones that I need are full.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Being in the middle of Florida, it is no surprise that the weather at UCF can be very enjoyable. However, one must remember that being surrounded by water, along with the hot climate, can bring about the many showers that fall upon the university.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: UCF's Orlando campus is huge. There are all different types of guys and girls there. There's quite a variety. Different ethnicities, religions, perspectives and personalities cover the campus. The guys range from the city boys to the country boys, you'll find the military guys mixed in with the fraternity guys and the international guys chilling with the sports guys. The girls follow the same principle. Every type, every size, style, and personality. Seriously UCF has it all when it comes to the guys and girls!

3 College Junior

Scholarships: More were available at the community college, and the person in charge there tried more to help me get them.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: Very Secure – Despite UCF's campus being so large, I've never felt unsafe on campus, regardless of the time of day. All of the staff are friendly and security is always in view, and my apartment has multiple features to ensure the safety of students even across the street from the campus.

3 College Senior

Majors: CO-OP Experience. It is real work place with rather low pay part job.

you do need to balance btw school and job.

3 College Senior

Majors: Digital Media – the Course and classes are very informative and great.

However, basic guideline and advising need to be improved.
Not only me, but a lot of students are confused

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
