Overall Experience: Come Experience It Yourself! Students who have come and gone through UCF will all tell you the same thing, you will never forget your time spent here. You will make several friends that you will hold on to for life and gain experiences that will change you forever, good or bad.

Academics: Advisers Truly Make Sure You're on the Right Path – I am a nursing major and the advisors that I have been associated with love their jobs and will do anything to make sure you are continuously on the correct path and make sure you remain there. They also offer several resources for internships and future jobs.

Diversity: Plenty of Differences and Plenty of Love. From what I have seen on campus I have come to the conclusion that UCF is a very diversified campus in many areas than just ethnicity and race; it is diverse in nearly every way. There are always information tables set up for groups on campus that welcome students to learn more about political groups, religious culture, different music and art styles, and so much more. The response to this atmosphere is generally very accepting and respectful from every party.

Overall Experience: A Cutting Edge School – UCF loves to stay on top of technology and having the best facilities for their students. I can admit that maybe we lack the school spirit the older schools in the area do such as FSU, UF, and UM but we are in the top five in the country as far as student population go. Our student body is really active in causes ranging from political and social to environmental and health. I love the feeling I get walking around the campus it's beautiful and the people know how to have fun. Maybe we don't have the best sports team but game days are still awesome. The student housing in the area is great lots of swimming pools and recreational and wellness facilities.

Transportation: Shuttles Are Always Late – The University has shuttles to all the student apartment complexes but they are never on time and I often wait 30+ minutes for them.

3 College Senior

Weather: Some Rain – Rains a lot during summer and late spring but usually perfect weather.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: The Scene Is Currently Undergoing Changes. The popular places that existed right across the street from campus ("Fubar", The Library, The Dungeon, Deko, Underground Bluz) are either being shut down or relocated due to the plaza being turned into a student housing development. If you go a couple miles down University Blvd, you can find a Buffalo Wild Wings, World of Beer, Tilted Kilt but nothing really like a dance club, just mostly bars. There are still plenty of good parties to attend though.

Health & Safety: A Safe Area. I've been attending UCF since '05 till the present ('12) and Ive never felt unsafe while walking around on campus, even after night classes that ended at 9 or after basketball games... There are plenty of emergency posts where all you have to do is hit a button if any situation does arise.. There isn't a lot of security guards around but I really can not think of any incidents on campus that would warrant an increase of their presence. They do provide numbers for security escorts and safe rides if you feel the need for one.

Campus Strictness: UCF is highly strict when it comes to academic honesty as well as drinking and drug use. We're all human, so of-course someone is going to do it but you most certainly do NOT want to get caught. I've had roommates who got busted with drinking (and noise making) and they nearly lost their housing due to it. I've also known people who got caught cheating on tests in class and they were definitely punished. Not only do you have to meet with the professor and talk about why you did it, you get a 0 for the test and have to take a class on academic honesty. Then you also have to submit a paper about it and how you learned from the class and etc...

Facilities: It's UCF. There's a lot of pride in this school so the facilities are generally pretty awesome and clean. Just minor things could be a bit more tidy every now and then but this is a HUGE school.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Security Is on Point and the Health Center Is Impressive. The security is very tight at UCF, never many incidents. Also the Health center gives a sense of security as I know if I become ill or injured, there is an on-campus facility for treatment.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: A Multi-Cultural Fashion Parade! There are so many cultures who attend UCF. It is always interesting to see the different looks and styles each student represents. Everyone really takes pride in their personal style. A lot of students represent the university by wearing official UCF gear.

College Senior

Nightlife: I Am an Adult Student, I Do Not Participate. I am a 32 year old student with a family and life outside of campus so I can't say.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: A Type of Girl for Anyone – If your into women UCF is the place to go. The girls there are pretty hot and there are a lot of them too. It's a big melting pot of a school because the student body is so large so there is a type of girl for pretty much anyone.

4 College Senior

Weather: Its florida! The weather is always great! but you do have to deal with humidity and the occasional hurricane.

4 College Senior

Majors: I love my field of study and I feel like the professors and staff in the Anthropology dept are helpful. My only qualm with the program is that the dept doesnt disperse a lot of the activities of the dept as well as they could. I try to stay active within the office but still seem to miss some of the activities because I didnt hear about them.

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: Overall I would say that most students are dedicated to their education. Especially in my major (Communication Sciences and Disorders) as the Graduate program is extremely competitive. Those students who do partake in extracurricular drug and alcohol use are not making it obvious to those around and it doers not seem to be or a priority. I am really impressed with the focus of the students at UCF.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: If you are interested in Greek life there are plenty of sororities and fraternities to choose from! Plus all of their housing is really nice and so close to campus. They always have fun events and parties going on. But what I really like is that they don't dominate the school. You can go to their parties with out worrying about being ostracized. Being apart of Greek life isn't seen as positive or negative, it's just a fun option but definitely not a requirement!

4 College Junior

Facilities: What More Could You Want? The social scene is amazing at UCF! There's always new activities and clubs you can join to meet people. And there's a huge variety of different cultures, religions, and races. Personally for the nursing program, we have these incredible simulation dolls that are as close to human as possible. They are wonderful for giving you real life experiences in nursing in a safe way. I'm so glad that we get to use these to practice our skills.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Always Something to Do! The gym is wonderful with all the greatest equipment and workout classes. The student union has great food, drinks, and atmosphere! I love studying under all the shady trees or just relaxing before class. The whole style of the campus is very modern. There are tons of organizations and clubs you can join to reach out and meet new people! You will never be bored at UCF!

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There a lot of good-looking people on campus. It was bound to happen since there are so many students there.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There's Always Something to Do in Orlando! Pick anything that you like to do and Orlando has it! There's tons of college bars/clubs minutes away such as library! Or you can always go downtown where there's a variety of places to go out. Plus there is city walk at universal with restaurants, clubs, bars, shopping, and a movie theater. Waterford shopping center is right down the road from campus with every store you could need. Or drive 20 minutes to two different outlet malls with a variety of stores. UCF gym also offers the greatest workout equipment and classes to attend. The possibilities are endless!

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many places located around campus, since we are in such a big city. Several of them you could get to without a vehicle if necessary.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Easy Enough – To recieve financial aid all you need to do is accept or decline your awards. I didn't recieve as much as I needed but I think that has more to do with the state than UCF.

4 College Senior

Campus Housing: Live in the Towers! The Towers are the best housing on campus. They're the newest and right next to the arena. They're like off-campus apartments with all the benefits of living on campus

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
