5 College Freshman

Majors: Once your accepted into the university, getting into the major is simply. You can chooce the major you like in myUCF online

4 College Freshman

Majors: Being In the college of engineering and computer science for the University of Central Florida is wonderful. They really make you feel like your part of something bigger. they set up events to help you succeed and all my professors have helped me achieve something in some way.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: I did not receive as much financial aid as i wished because i missed a couple deadlines. In order to get my financial aid through i had to drive to the university from home ( a three hour drive) multiple times.

4 College Senior

Facilities: Since it's the biggest in Florida we get a lot of facilities for free. The gym is nice, and there are always sports to go to. There is also light up UCF in the winter which is awesome!

3 College Senior

Greek Life: They are very involved in everything. I'm not a greek but I'm in a major that a lot of them are. They're mostly nice

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: There are a lot of good places, but be careful some of them have changed their names to change their image. Do background checks.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Some spots around campus can be unsafe, but it really depends on the neighborhood you decide to live in. I live in a super nice area and feel extremely safe. There is always something to do in Orlando, you have all the theme parks, and UCF gives you discounted ticket prices for those. There are plenty of places to eat and hang out, and the weather is really great. The community is basically filled with local students, families live in Oviedo which is about 2 minutes from UCF, but not many students live in that area.

5 College Junior

Diversity: There are always different groups of people set up outside the student union to join their organization, so you see a lot of diversity there. Also, there is an exchange program at a facility on campus for foreign students to learn English, so you see them on campus a lot.

3 College Junior

Athletics: The stadium is not always filled, but those that are there have great school spirit, and the athletics facilities are really well kept and nice.

5 College Junior

Computers: Computer labs are everywhere at UCF. I have never had to wait in line to use a computer except at the printing labs and the waits there are short. I do not mind waiting for that because at UCF PRINTING IS FREE. That's right, printing anything at a printing lab costs you the student nothing because it is all paid for in your tuition. Love this feature about UCF and use it constantly.

4 College Junior

Academics: My major has me taking classes that truly interest me and therefore puts me in the company of people who share common goals with myself. I have only begun my bachelor program so this is how I feel about it so far, it may get better it may get worse, but that is life and I will take it as it comes and make the best out of it.

4 College Junior

Academics: My professors so far have been funny and made learning the material as little like a chore as they can. There is a lot of work to do but there is always some form of extracurricular help available. Study groups abound, tutors, learning labs, everything you need to succeed is at UCF.

4 College Junior

Athletics: University of Central Florida has great team spirit! A high percentage of students wear school colors on a daily basis and games are well attended. Tailgating parties precede all games and are a blast to attend. The school fight song is taught at orientations and even freshman can feel like they belong at their very first game.

Off-Campus Dining: typical suburban basics....lazy moon is amazing though best pizza ever always a crowd. next to knight library

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: Lots of variety, reasonable prices, i prefer towers and nike/hercules!

4 Recent Alumnus

Facilities: UCF has a beautiful campus, super convenient, inexpensive housing options, mostly florida residents, strong greek life, etc.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Dining: OMG i gained so much weight, but just walked over to the REC to spin. The food was good. Going in hungover freshman year for "brunch" Met so many friends there. Good times. Best omelets ever!

3 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Gen Ed's varied read Rate My Professor religiously! Rosen has great ones though. Such a big school sometimes classes are just scratching the surface.

3 Recent Alumnus

Parking: Parking could be tough but they are always building a parking garage. It can be bad but if you go to certain garages like across campus from classroom 1 it's a lot easier to find a spot and just walk. Still much better than most schools!

3 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Rosen has a great reputation but the major doesn't. You are basically qualified to be a front desk person at graduation. In this profession you move up slowly, pay is super low, and weekends/holidays/random shifts are the norm. I used the major in more of a business capacity to get a 9-5 with benefits but it was tough because people don't understand it is like a business degree.

The classes are easy. like i'm scared to go to grad school because they were so easy.lol

Great instructors! Best I had at UCF!

Wouldn't choose this major again but learned a lot.

4 Recent Alumnus

Weather: Hot outside but cold in the classrooms in the summer. Winters are the best in florida because it never gets too cold.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: The fact that the shuttle to and from campus is free is great. It comes every 10 minutes and i've never had any issues. the drivers are always very friednly. as far as other modes of transportation, i'm not sure because i do not utilize them.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Varsity sports are a big part of campus life. However, I find intramural sports to be just as popular. I know a lot of people who play intramural sports and they really seem to enjoy it. Our school has lots of team spirit. The student section is always packed and it's always a lot of fun. I enjoy going over to the stadium for games. Our teams are pretty decent. We just moved up to the big east so next year should be really exciting.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: its a great school and their policies are very clear. The campus is strict about drugs, alcohol, honor code and cheating etc. they do pretty good job on keep UCF safe.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: The University of Central Florida has a variety of off-campus apartments, and man are a bike ride, or even a walk away. There are shuttles that go to over a dozen off campus housing residences and takes you directly to school so you probably won't be using money to get to school. Prices of housing ranges from about 500-800 (for furnished) depending on the apartment. I know that unfurnished can be as low as 400 (I think). Parking seems to be great, there is also room somewhere.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
