Parking: It is advise to get to class early in order to find a parking spot closest to your class. However there are a great amount of parking garages on campus for students who need them. The way that UCF is designed, you can park almost anywhere, if you don't mind the walking.

Scholarships: I've been selected for verification every year, which is a huge hassle. This year, the lady at the office gave me incorrect information regarding a section on the form, and I lost half my pell grant.

Campus Dining: Market place has good food most of the time and the dinning experience is great because there are a lot of choices between restaurants and where to eat. there are restaurants everywhere so it is easy to find some place to eat where ever you are.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: its good, i have never felt unsafe and there are always booths promoting health and safety awareness. there are also a bunch of safety beacons that are easily accessible

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The strictness is good on what is needed -drugs, violence, alcohol, and other stuff- but not over bearing.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: We are trying to expand our athletic program, and get more involved and it will be there in a couple of years

Majors: I am very excited with the program I am in. Hospitality management is such a staple especially in the Orlando area, and it provides numerous opportunities for students. My career goals is to adopt a culture at a pristine resort or hotel and grow with the company. I highly believe that I will not have any concerns finding a job in my field because of just the location of the campus which attracts competitive employers and the reputation of being a Rosen College student.

Majors: I attend the Rosen campus and with this being my first semester I can honestly say that I am enjoying all of my classes. The instructors are very positive and resourceful. Whats unique about this program is that it has build such a positive reputation of successfully preparing students, it has become a breathing ground for employers to recruit. The are always internships available year round and they are targeted strictly to hospitality students. As far as course work which I am not a fan of, I actually enjoy it because it all ties in with what I will be experiencing in the work force one day.

Parking: With 60,000 students, which about 48,000 them actually attend class in the main campus, and only about 11,000 parking spaces..........it is a war to get a parking spot. Commit to school early or just take the bus.

5 College Freshman

Computers: There MANY places you can print and use computers on UCF's campus. There is the Library, SGA (Student Government Association) computer lab (with 100 free pages of print per week), Technology Commons, and all the computer labs within the specific colleges. The internet connection is usable, nothing fancy but it is all you need for school work and entertainment.

Health & Safety: It is very safe campus. There is a police branch specific to the UCF campus, so crime does not really occur here. They even have a program called "SDES", it is a service that when called, they will come pick you up and safely take you to your destination.

5 College Junior

Majors: I really enjoy this program, but it does take a great deal of time and professionalism.

Majors: If you aren't teaching yet, you'll need to take the GKT (General Knowledge Test). You'll need to take this with enough time for your scores to come back to be accepted into the program by the due date.

Weather: Great weather, sometimes rain but for short periods of time. Really sunny and comfortable. The summer is hot, but not hard to deal with. We have a/c!

Diversity: I am catholic and mixed and i feel great here. There do seem to be more white people here than anything but there is still decent amount and lots of variety of all races and religions and what not. It might not be a cultural melting pot but i feel great here.

Nightlife: There is ALWAYS a party to go to, or a bar, or club. Something is always going on on the weekends and it's really not hard to get involved in the "nightlife" once you make a few friends. Sometimes it feels like there's too much fun to be had and you forget you're at school. haha

Greek Life: People will say that greek life is a big deal but those are the people that are involved in it. If you aren't involved in it then you see it around campus and you'll hear about and go to their parties but that's about it. It's not necessary to make friends but I'm sure it makes it a lot easier.

Guys & Girls: My first week here i was completely baffled by how it was possible that so many attractive guys could live in one place. Now i notice them less but it's still really impressive. ;)

4 College Freshman

Weather: The beginning of the semester it would start out really sunny and then rain at some point every day so you always had to have your umbrella on you. Now it's usually sunny everyday but it's starting to get chilly. And yes it does get cold here. Overall the weather is great and the skies are always beautiful.

Campus Dining: I have the 14 a week meal plan and it's enough for me. the options are overpriced though. I usually sleep through breakfast and only eat lunch and dinner but i always keep snacks in my room. The food at the dining hall isn't my mom's cooking of course but I like it. They have a good variety of different types of food. The unlimited is suggested but not really necessary unless you plan on never buying food to keep in your dorm. Not many people I know have this.

Local Atmosphere: It's Orlando... Everything's around us! Hello, Disney!

Guys & Girls: Greek life is really big at UCF. If you're not Greek, it's harder to meet people

Health & Safety: UCF has a lot of safety signs and buttons set up all around campus.

Scholarships: I have received a decent amount of financial adid from UCF that has helped supplement my bright future and Pell Grant.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
