Guys & Girls: You can find all kinds of guys at UCF. I have to say the best looking ones you'll find in the gym!

3 College Junior

Parking: It gets hectic, especially at certain times of the day (late afternoon and late morning). Just get to campus about 30 minutes before your class and you should be alright.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: Forms sometimes get lost in the shuffle of other applicants, and the scholarships provided are only applicable to a few groups of individuals. As a white male seeking a degree in Psychology, I am finding it difficult to be eligible for the majority of scholarships provided to other students.

3 College Junior

Weather: The weather can be unpredictable at times (rainy one second and then sunny the next), but no matter the condition the weather never interferes with campus activities.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I always feel safe on campus, even at night. There are always people out and about, and the lights on campus all work.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: You can pretty much find any restaurant you can think of near UCF. There are many options. Student discounts are lacking, but the costs are not too expensive. Definitely check out Lazy Moon! They have really good pizza.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Orlando is a great place to go to school. The theme parks are not too far away and are fun for a weekend trip with friends. There are restaurants near campus and shopping at Waterford Lakes.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: For a good nigh around UCF you need to get ready for long drives. It means that you need a designated driver or to sacrifice yourself and not drink all night. The good clubs are downtown or at city walk.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Coming from the big city life of Boston MA to Orlando Florida has been a big change. But overall the local atmosphere at UCF is not that bad if you have the time to hang out and participate during the events. The most exciting thing to do as a college student is the theme parks, which after a while can get pretty monotonous.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The part of the campus I most visit is not aesthetically pleasing because there isn't much greenery and it's right across the street from the road, however the other side of the building is nice with green grass and nice areas to study. The library is large and gives access to so many things! The librarian is super helpful as well.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Since it is a regional campus it is MUCH smaller which creates a more intimate environment for students to connect. The staff is very inviting and willing to help with any of the students' needs!

4 College Junior

Athletics: Always have games going on and encourage students to get to know each other at recreation center!

4 College Senior

Majors: The difficulties for my program came when I started the upper level courses in Psychology. There is much about the human mind that is very difficult to explain and understand no matter how good of a teacher you have. It takes a lot of practice and you must spend a lot of time reading the materials. The most important criteria was GPA. As far as I know there was no abnormal application process and if I was to offer any helpful tips for admission I would say do your homework and manage a high GPA all throughout your academic career. Every grade counts at this level.

Majors: I am very happy with my program. I am in psychology and the tools it has provided me with is extremely important for my career goal of becoming a clinical psychologist and helping victims of sexual slavery. My only concern with finding a job in my field, which I hope to be overseas in India is raising support. I will not be making any money because I will be coming alongside missionary organizations and helping the victims for no charge.

4 College Senior

Majors: The teachers are very helpful is making each major feel like a close community. I am majoring in psychology and want to use that to later earn my doctorate to help victims of sexual slavery in India. My wife and I hope to move there after my schooling and live there as missionaries. The teachers at my university have a true passion for learning and have created a very difficult yet fulfilling curriculum which pushes me to new heights daily.

2 College Senior

Weather: The humidity and heat in Florida is terrible and the University does not have any opportunities for shade. Florida is also a state where it rains quite a bit and without having any coverings for students to walk under we are left with no choice but to experience the elements, good or bad.

2 College Sophomore

Weather: Florida weather at its most typical: crazy. Sunny one minute, pouring the next, who knows?

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of decent restaurants within walking or short driving distance from campus.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: Most Off-campus housing complexes have shuttles that run directly to campus and it is MUCH cheaper than staying in the dorms.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: UCF is located in the town of Orlando. Trust me you will have plenty of options when it comes to off-campus dining. Maybe even too much options.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Florida, I believe, is a major center cultural diversity. This is especially so at UCF. I recently moved here from the Tallahassee area, as I was planning to attend FSU, and can honestly say I feel more at home here than anywhere else in Florida.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I dont live on campus but I always feel safe when Im on campus

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Its a great area to be in. Downtown Orlando is like a 20 minute drive and all the theme parks aren't too far either. Its also less than an hour from the beach. They have a lot of shops and restaurants in the immediate area as well.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I am an Interpersonal/Organizational Communications major. I haven't taken many classes for my major yet. However, I know they have a lot of internships available for Communications majors.

3 College Freshman

Weather: Since UCF is in Florida, its usually sunny and warm. However, it does rain at least a little bit almost every day until about November. It doesn't get too bad, though, if you have an umbrella.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
