Majors: I can not what it is like to be in my specific program at my school for sure because I am taking my prerequisites right now. I have not actually begun taking classes related to my major just yet. However, the time I have been at school, I have received a lot of networking, job opportunities, and workshops that I can attend, especially those related to my current major. In addition, there are programs in place that allow students to gain real world experience (related to your major of course) while getting paid.

Health & Safety: There are plenty of things that go on off and on campus. Students are first to be alerted when any type of negative activity is happening within the area. There are many safety poles and people throughout campus for security purposes. They even have a night service if you need to be taken to your car.

Majors: My program is amazing. The professors are extremely helpful and proactive. They grade work constantly, and are always making themselves available. They are believers in their work that they do for children and it truly influences the attitude within the major.

4 College Junior

Majors: I changed majors when I transferred schools, so coming from one to the other was a huge challenge. I have had to take certain classes over and my graduation date was pushed back a year. I feel that many of the courses could be condensed and the process of entrance and completion would be much more efficient.

5 College Junior

Majors: As an early childhood major, I will have a vast variety of where I would like to complete my internship. Hopefully I will be placed with the Early childhood coalition, working on assisting with creating programs for the lower socioeconomic community. Advocating good health and school within in these communities will be the biggest challenge. I will not be compensated while holding this position.

Weather: It's very sunny in Florida and since UCF is so large it isn't surprising to find yourself getting sweaty going from class to class. The school is so large! But honestly, sweating isn't really a huge issue, yes it may be hot but there are a lot of trees and shaded areas to avoid the sun's harsh rays.

Majors: The Rosen College at UCF is state of the art. Knowing that I am getting an education about my dream career field from such a great school is really assuring. I know I have resources surrounding me for any questions I have to ask. Everyone is willing to help you out and will give you any advice they feel is necessary to help you achieve your goal. I would definitely major in hospitality again at UCF, the school is superb. My main dream is start up my own coffeehouse in a college town similar to UCF that offers students and citygoers a place to relax, work, and have fun!

Transportation: Their are UCF shuttle busses that go all around the Orlando area that is really convenient as well as mini golf carts on campus if you are ever in a tough situation and need a ride.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a variety of restaurants from chipotle to steak and shake, the majority of cheap dining options tend to not be extremely healthy, but if their is a little room in your pocket there are a good variety of restaurants available within the UCF neighborhood.

Academics: My honors program is great because all honors classes are limited to 20 students a class, and when a portion of my schedule is honors and the other portion is major specific, I rarely have to deal with large classes where my voice isn't heard.

4 College Freshman

Academics: My major of Advertisement/Public Relations is a limited access major that requires hard work and plenty of internships. I am also a part of the Honors College at my school which means my academics are as elevated as possible.

Guys & Girls: There is a lot of diversity at UCF, the guys and girls can range from athletic to nerdy. The majority of students I've interacted with thus far are very welcoming and friendly, with your occasional "brat," or "stud."

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: The guys and girls that I have encountered at UCF are friendly and willing to help. Whenever it came to us having to do a group project, we were always in contact with each other and worked with each other's personal schedules when it came to meeting outside of class. A great thing about the guys and girls at UCF is that you are able to relate to them on some level. Whether it be a personal one or you guys have the same major.

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: Transportation at UCF is excellent. We have plenty of parking spaces including parking spots made for hybrid cars. We also have shuttles running both within and outside the university. UCF also provides us with cabs that run throughout the night including pass 12am. All you would have to do is call a number and the cab will come straight to you.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There are tons of options when it comes to off-campus housing at UCF. There are campus-affiliated apartments with individual leases so if your roommate can't pay his half, you wont have to worry about getting kicked out of your home. All the campus-affiliated housing is within a mile of campus and it's pricey, but it's what you have to expect in a college town. Other than that there are tons of apartments, homes and condos to rent, with even more being built as I type this.

2 College Junior

Transportation: The parking pass itself is a fortune! Which would be okay except for the fact that parking on campus is almost impossible unless you have really early or really late classes. The traffic lights within the school seem like they're never in sync, so it's definitely a good idea to be early if you're driving yourself. UCF provides free shuttle access to and from campus at many off-campus housing locations where most students reside.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: UCF is in the middle of Orlando. The UCF area itself is littered with places to eat, drink, dance, shop and live. Not to mention the Orlando theme parks are about 30 minutes away from campus. Downtown Orlando is also about fifteen minutes away and it's also located very close to highways, so getting back home is usually pretty easy!

5 College Junior

Diversity: I seriously love this place, its filled with diversity! I have felt so comfortable here and have met people from everywhere. Everyone is so nice!

5 College Junior

Nightlife: I love UCF, its right near Universal where there are night clubs for everyone to go to. You do have to pay to get in though, so bring money with you!

1 College Junior

Weather: I despise the Florida weather; day in and day out it's a constant barrage of humidity and scorching heat. The campus is quite large and it can be quite embarrassing to walk across campus between classes drenched in sweat.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Orlando is a great place to live. So many attractions and activities are available. Events are constantly taking place, and the shopping is great. It's always a good idea to be wary of safety, in some parts of town more than others. However, with a group safety is not generally an issue. Locals are kind and accommodating to students.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Financial Aid was easy to work with, giving me a fair amount of scholarships at a level that I earned. If you do your paperwork correctly and have a little patience, things work out fine.

3 College Junior

Transportation: Buses are safe, clean, reliable and accessible. Just do your homework so that you know when and where they run.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Every level of skill is measured through testing and places you in the correct class, and even if you bomb a placement exam, the professors always help you find the right class levels for you.

Athletics: We have amazing school spirit from the spirit splash, which is one of the best traditions in the US, to our amazing football team, the UCF Knights! There are 50,000 students on campus and I think everyone goes to every game.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
