2 Recent Alumnus

Parking: Over the last couple of years the parking situation has gotten a lot better with the addition of a new parking lot. Despite this addition there is still a need for more convenient parking lots. There is no need for a car on campus to get around.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: The campus police are pretty fair. They are around when there are sporting events and not around too often to harass the students.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics at the University of Central Florida I would say could be better. Being that it is a fairly new school, football does not have a large fan support compared to how many students go to the games. We need to have more school spirit and show that Knight pride! One thing that is UCF does have covered is our athletic facility. It contains state of the art equipment, trainers, and is home to all our diverse IM sports.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I have not had any issues with strictness at my school. They pretty much give students free range to do as they please since we are in college and are adults now. I get to do almost anything outside of illegal things and other very inappropriate things.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Great!!! They have a lot of security around the campus they even give you the opportunity to sign up for news alerts and everyday they send an e mail to in a way inform you about what took place that day. They take drinking very serious due to a previous death but that I love because it keeps students aware of the decisions we make. Security is good!

4 College Junior

Weather: Well the school is located in Orlando Florida which has the best weather throughout the year! Of course the weather is a little bipolar at times but that is to be expected. More than normal it is ALWAYS sunny and bright. Like right now we are in the WINTER season and it just now got a little before 50 degrees and it is December. It is a bit bittersweet but I love it!

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: I love the variety of foods that the campus has to offer to the students. Everything from Chick fil A to Healthy choices! It gives students the opportunity to have a variety in their diet not just junk food all day every day. UCF is a huge campus and it has little cafes for you to grab a quick healthy snack bar to get you through your next set of classes. I love that they have a smoothie king on campus because I LOVE LOVE LOVE smoothies!!! That alone will be something I get on a daily basis to get me through at least two classes until I have the chance to get to a real meal. Only bad thing is that it sometimes can be a bit pricey having to spend money on food every day but hey that is a part of college life!

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Great service and care but some specific tests are to expensive in comparison to a community clinic.

5 College Senior

Weather: The school is located in sunny Florida so when it's not sunny then it is raining which is easier to deal with than snow!

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: It is well-laid out with its floor plan. It is easy to find the buildings and classes.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: I am a hospitality management and event management major. The workload is perfect because I have enough time to work a job and they make the curriculum fun and enjoyable while teaching me everything i need to know in great detail.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: Printing is good and free in some places but can get pretty busy during certain hours.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is a very diverse population of students who interact constantly with each other in a safe and happy environment.

4 College Junior

Computers: The computers labs aren't usually too crowded and even if they are you're able to check out laptops.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I see enough campus security and police to never question if I'm safe. The parking garages are adequately lit. You just get a general feeling of safety.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: They've been pretty helpful will be hard to tell till the semester starts. SO far so good

4 College Junior

Facilities: The school as of late focus is about the peer to peer relationships. They want everyone to be more involved with eachother besides the books. Progress as a group the creed supports this.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I don't think it's very big it depends on your crowd.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It becomes a real bummer when one second it's sunny and beautiful to have it turn into a pouring mess minutes later. It's a bit depressing but, it is also expected when you live in Florida.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: The bus every 15 minutes works perfectly if someone's running late for class. However, they stop after a certain time, and there should be a bus that at least run until 10 pm. Other than that, the buses are great for someone who has a class so far away and so little time to get there!

3 College Freshman

Computers: The computers in the library can be slightly overcrowded during finals and midterms, but that's not unusual. The Wi-Fi can be a tad wonky and I definitely recommend getting yourself a computer of your own so you won't have to walk as far to do your homework.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining by far has been the most diverse. About every 2 miles there's a different restaurant from a different background. Chipotle has to be the best, in my opinion. But mainly there's a lot of places to choose from and most of them are well-known and not that expensive.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are many apartments to choose from near UCF. The choices are endless and the costs are fairly reasonable depending on the housing.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel very safe at UCF, mostly because I have never personally been threatened. However, I take a lot of extra precautions to keep myself safe.

2 College Freshman

Parking: There is roughly one parking spot for every 8 people at UCF, which is not a good statistic. It's very hard to find a satisfying parking spot.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
