Academics: I came in as a Biology major and I am not a Sports and Exercise Science major. I can honestly say that the advising staff is very helpful in narrowing down what you want and how to go about the process of achieving you dream goal. They help you pick your classes one semester in advance, allowing us, the students, to really do our research on the professors. The professors I have had have been completely worth while. Their office hours are very flexible and are open to giving the students help wether if it is a homework question or why the answer we chose on a test is wrong. Tutoring is open every day for the majority of courses UCF provides. Overall, I am more than satisfied with the abundance of help UCF gives us, the student body, when we need it.

5 College Junior

Computers: I only took part of a semester online me the way the class was set up was excellent.

1 College Junior

Campus Housing: I was set back two semester because of all the wrong information that was given to me.

1 College Junior

Scholarships: I was set back two semester because of all the wrong information given to me.

5 College Junior

Facilities: Although I haven't been on campus yet the photos of the facilities look outstanding.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: The school is very cautious however the introductory videos that are meant to to make to students aware of dangers can also tip off people trying to cause harm to others.

5 College Junior

Majors: I absolutely love the program set up for my major.

College Junior

Athletics: I've never attended on campus only online so I wouldn't be able to review it.

Transportation: On-campus transportation is superb. Students have free access to shuttles that travel around campus and between campus branches. There are even a few free routes to and from the city of Orlando during the Fall and Spring semesters.
The city's bus system leaves something to be desired.
The Orlando International Airport is not very far, so that's pretty convenient.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: It's beautiful here in the fall, winter, and spring. But the summer is an entirely different story. Expect humidity and rainstorms that are so frequent you can set your clocks by them.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The most noticeable food options are fast food, and there's plenty of it. You'll find fast food joints you didn't know existed. But if you look more closely, you can find more interesting options such as Hawaiian Grindz and more sushi bars than I can name.

4 College Senior

Facilities: The buildings around campus are beautiful. We are close to being the largest campus in the country and it is easy to see that. The gym is huge and has just about everything that you could want in it.

3 College Senior

Weather: It rains a good amount in Orlando. There are plenty of buildings to go into when it rains but if you are walking to class or around campus, there is no cover.

5 College Senior

Majors: To get into the Event Management major it was fairly easy. I didn't find any difficulties or challenges. There was no strange application process, just the general application and transcripts.

4 College Junior

Diversity: One of the things I like about UCF is that there is diversity and chances of fitting in, regardless of who you are. Some may say there are more white students in the school. but I am able to see more hispanic, black, and asian students. It makes the experience of learning new things not only from professors in the university, but also from the students attending this school.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I don't think it's rather UCF fault for this issue, but I sometimes don't receive an amount of financial aid I really need to continue learning. The process itself can be stressful because I have to worry if everything is done right so I can get as much financial help as possible.

4 College Junior

Computers: They are up to date and I really don't have a problem with them. I find it very useful when I need to print a paper or use wireless access. I didn't give it a A+ only because sometimes it can be hard to find an available computer.

Guys & Girls: At UCF there are many different people. Every stereotype you can think of, you can find. Nerds, jocks, preps, rednecks, ravers, country boys, blondes, Greeks, etc. There are many different people but the best part is that everyone is welcoming to newcomers even though we all have different interests. Most of the students are good looking and friendly so it makes campus a very warm place to be. Most know how to dress themselves to look put together and professional but also comfortable.

Computers: The computers at my school are very up-to-date and there is almost always availability. I love the new technology that we always get to encounter everyday because UCF is constantly updating their technology to keep up with the ever changing world. On the other hand, the WIFI is very difficult to get connected to and it is very slow. As long as you are using the many desktops around the school that are available, you will not need WIFI so it is better to just use those rather than try using your own laptop. Sometimes it is reliable and sometimes it takes forever to open a browser. There are two printing labs, one for long term use and one for quick printing, usually the quick printing has a line but it moves fast and is more convenient for students on the go. Because of both of these resources, there is no need for a personal computer or printer. I did not have one until the end of my sophomore year of college just because I wanted one.

Off-Campus Housing: The Off-Campus Housing at University of Central Florida is excellent housing for freshman. It is easily accessible, almost always has openings and has transportation to campus available. Unfortunately after a while of living in places that do not have a lot of privacy and do a lot of noise interruptions, students will get tired of the quality just like I have by my junior year. You realize it isn't worth the money, especially once your parents stop paying for it. Next semester I plan on moving into a normal apartment not associated with the school because it is much cheaper and better quality privacy to allow me to study in peace. It was a good start to learn to live on my own, but now I want better quality homes for better pricing.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: The school makes you take an online course about drugs and alcohol. Which goes over the dangers of both and goes over the policies and procedures that the school has in place.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I lived off campus after my freshman year, which turned into a very lucrative decision. Each year I got a little further away from campus however all of the housing that I had lived in had buses that ran to the school from early morning classes to night classes. It is easy to find an apartment because of the ever expansion of new campus housing that is going up around the main campus. Overall, I believe the experience of my first year living on campus was great because I was there for everything within walking distance, however looking back monetarily it is a much better option to live off campus.

4 College Senior

Academics: BSN/MSN in Nursing. UCF has one of the best programs in the state. Being a graduate of this program will impress employers. I will be a well trained Nurse when I graduate.

3 College Senior

Diversity: The students who apply and get accepted are diverse and a wide range of nationalities are represented. So far it seems that everyone tolerates everyone else. I supose at some point some group will be offended by another groups actions or practices but hopefully UCF will not pick sides and will tell the whiners to accept the others as they themselves are accepted.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: If you have a night class and you call for an escort to your car, they will be there. Usually they patrol the lots in the evenings.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
