4 College Senior

Computers: I love the computer labs at UCF. There are quit a few of them and there is always someone around to help. I often bring my own computer and the wireless connection never fails me.

College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I am a student who is enrolled in UCF, but I am also going through the regional campus of Valencia West. I have only visited the main campus a few times, the times that I have been there however have been very pleasant and I have felt very safe and secure. It is a large campus and very open and that makes me fell safe versus a smaller college with a lot of students.

College Senior

Campus Housing: I have never lived on campus. From I see the buildings do look nice but that's about all I know about campus housing.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Getting financial aid at UCF was an okay process. I did have to go through some paperwork at first because they wanted me to file as a dependent and I have a child. I attended my local community college for 3 years as an independent. Once we got through that it was okay over the years.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Off campus housing is very diverse. Many almost on campus style developments as well as individual houses you can rent with friends.

2 College Freshman

Academics: UCF tries to hard to be everything, that it can't really commit to anything long enough to specialize in it.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Food is good with alot of options form bars, to pizza joints, to "actual" restaurants.

2 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Everything is so far apart, it's difficult to do anything of substance

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Not in Greek life but fairly big part of whats going on in UCF due to the student leadership being involved.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: Very fun to do stuff with a group of friends. Have wide variety of options including bars, clubs, parties, and as well as an alcohol free alternative party bi monthly called Late Knight with a new theme every time.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: There are not a lot of publicized parties. Everyone seems to party in their own small groups.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus police are not always visible but when needed they respond fairly well. Overall fairly safe campus besides petty theft.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Academics at UCF are great. Most classes are reasonably sized and the professors tend to be very helpful with any questions you have about grades, homework, and other issues.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Mostly, the students are safe, but there is definitely pressure to drink.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Haven't had many issues with transportation due to most places on campus being more accessible and easier to get to by foot anyway.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Great university to be at. Theirs lots of unique restaurants to the area as well as nightlife.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: Very little aid for the middle class. Unless your in a lower socio-economic bracket your not getting much aid at all. Was originally told more aid opens up in the second year but ended up getting less aid my sophomore year.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: It's a pain to have to always drive everywhere and pay for parking, but everything else is worse.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: I like the diversity of the populations, but the voice of those populations don't seem to carry the same weight.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: Very liberal at times and most professors are pretty outward about it. Harder if your more of a conservative thinker but is any different in that aspect compared to any other university. Very open about religious beliefs of others as well as sexual orientation of others. Overall besides regular norms very open.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Tons of options near UCF !

4 College Sophomore

Computers: The computer labs are great. Never a long wait.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: no one makes you do anything really

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
