4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I can't speak much about off campus housing since I spent my first two years in the dorms, but I'll be going off campus this year and I can say that the process was pretty easy. Most of the housing off campus is across the street from the school in walking distance (or the bus line can be used) and the prices are definitely affordable.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: There is a huge variety of students at UCF. Something we are known for. WE are the most diverse college and offer alot of really good incite on perspectives, equality and respect

3 College Junior

Academics: The academics offered at UCF could be given around a B. The new study areas around campus have really helped with my studies and the new AllKnightStudy definitely saved me during Final Exam period. I could say some professors should definitely not be employed at UCF, but in the school's defense) they can't monitor every single teacher I guess.

3 College Junior

Academics: I am a Biomedical Sciences major but from the past two years, every student can attest that the Math Department has hindered the success of many students enrolled in math classes. Aside from that aspect, this major is challenging, but thats expected.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I'm currently considering a major change but i like my major as a way to get into a medical program.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I'm not sure if my personal experiences of UCF are representative of the overall drug scene, but at UCF i was exposed to weed, various smart drugs, psychedelics, and alcohol. It also looks like a ton of kids are on steroids

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Davie is one of the suburbs of Fort Lauderdale. Its basically the typical suburb town where there's not much to do so kids smoke and do drugs as a source of entertainment.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: I'm honestly not sure how the sports program is at UCF. I know the wrestling team is good and I assume that all of the other sports are decent at the very least just because of how big of school UCF is. 60000 BITCHES

3 College Senior

Majors: Overall I am very pleased with the major I am currently pursuing, but would like to have at least two different instructors to choose from for each required class.

College Senior

Greek Life: I have not joined Greek life at this university, so I do not think I can fairly rate it.

College Senior

Guys & Girls: I am attending school to earn a degree from an accredited university. I did not take any of the above matters into consideration.

College Senior

Campus Housing: I do no currently nor have I ever lived in campus housing at this university.

4 College Junior

Weather: Gotta love the sunshine state. The weather is either beautiful or horrible. There is no inbetween. But if you don't like the weather here, wait five minutes and it will change.

3 College Junior

Facilities: UCF has an overall nice campus, though some of the buildings are ancient and haven't been maintained very well. Nothing really screams beauty like some of the nicer colleges, such as Rollins College, but hanging out in front of the reflecting pond can ease some stress from the week.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Football is touted as the top sport, like at every school. However, UCF has good choices of other sports like soccer, volleyball, and tennis. As a bonus, most sports games that aren't football are free to attend at times.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I've never had a problem on UCF's campus, though I can understand how the large size of the school and general layout of parking garages can throw people off at night. Every once in awhile you'll hear of someone's car being broken into but it honestly doesn't happen that much.

College Junior

Transportation: I drive to the school myself, and I am very reliable.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: The Greeks don't really affect the social atmosphere of the campus, the provident almost nothing to the school. aside from seeing them walk around with the shirts and symbols, they don't hang around campus much.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: Clubs near UCF are catered to freshman and those under 21, making them somewhat lame. Other than that there are clubs not too far in the center of Orlando, about 30-45 minutes away, with a good variety of options. Bars are usually the best choice, like World of Beer and Buffalo Wild Wings, to meet up with people and grab a drink. House parties occasionally take place on the weekends, and who can say no to free beer?

4 College Freshman

Majors: Not only are academics and test scores emphasized, but they mainly look at diversity and what you can offer to the school. They consider extracurricular, community service and many other aspects aside from academics.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I don't know much about how the school works yet, but from what I've heard the policies are strictly enforced.

3 College Freshman

Parking: There are parking spaces around campuses but the designated areas arent always near your classes or destination. Also parking permits are slightly overpriced. The campus is huge so I would advice to have a car to get around.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There are plenty of meal plans and dining choices to fit just about anyones needs. In the student union and around campus there are plenty of restaurants and places to grab lunch or just a snack. There's Burger King, Subway, Chick-fil-A, Huey Magoos, etc. I've never been to the dining hall though so I wouldn't know about those.

4 College Junior

Majors: for the radio/Television program I didn't encounter any difficulties. All i had to do was turn in an application with my transcripts and have the required gpa and I was accepted.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Waterford Has Many Different Options – In waterford there are many different restaurants, from fast food to brand name restaurants. There are also many other options down University blvd.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
