Parking: For the amount of students going to UCF parking can be miserable at times. The lots are often full by 10 in the morning and if you arrive during the middle of the day it may take you a while to get a spot.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: All thought there are numerous security call buttons located around campus, I believe that there should be more security people that are walking around campus or on golf carts making sure that everyone gets to where theyre going safely. I also believe they should drive around campus patrolling parking garages and parking lots just to make sure nothing happens.

3 College Senior

Computers: The computers at UCF are usually all used during busy times and for the amount of students on campus I believe that there should be more computers.

2 College Junior

Greek Life: I don't really know a lot about Greek Life at UCF because I mainly focus on the academics. There have been hazing problems before where all Greek activities have been suspended!!

3 College Senior

Scholarships: Getting information about certain scholarships (those pertaining to minorities mainly) are almost never announced. It's up to you to dig around and visit offices asking if there are any scholarships options. It's very difficult.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: This is a predominantly white, privileged college. School senate has a lot of internalized racism and sexism. There are niches for people of color and GLBTQ+ students, but they shouldn't be exclusive to niches. I highly recommend visiting Pride Commons and Multicultural student Center as they are very open agencies with friendly staff.

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: I don't attend the main campus, so i cant speak for them but the regional campus is very accommodating. I rated a B- because they typically close by 7pm and coming from work attending late night classes we do get hungry.

3 College Senior

Transportation: There's not much options in Florida as one might have in NYC thus making accommodations very limited

3 College Junior

Weather: Having lived the majority of my life in South Florida I am used to the heat and rain in Central Florida. If heat and humidity isn't your thing then don't move to Florida. Summers are hot and it rains almost everyday. This is Florida. Winters are nice, it often dips to the 30's at night and the air is nice and crisp. Hurricanes sometimes mean a few days of canceled classes, but Orlando is inland enough to not worry about the storm surge causing massive flooding, just be worried about excessive winds and rain.

2 College Junior

Parking: Depending on the day and time of your class it can be difficult, early or late classes are reasonable, but show up during the middle of the day and you might look for 20 or 30 minutes. Sometimes it is better to park further away then walk or skateboard. Permit fees are about $100 annually. Parking is strictly enforced with crews of ticket writers continuously roaming the parking lots and garages.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: There is a wide variety of options to choose from UCF which makes it extremely appealing. The curriculum is straight forward and the workload can be very intense, but rewarding.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: So far the advising staff has been great and have helped me with any questions I have had. The workload has been heavy and difficult at times, and fairly easy at others. I have enjoyed the school work and I truly believe there will be opportunities for me after I graduate.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: The facilities are extremely up to date. The rec center especially has a lot of resources available to students. The campus itself is beautiful and I have a lot of fun just walking around and hanging out with fellow students.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: At the football games people have a lot of pride in UCF, but I wouldn't say it is as intense as FSU or UF. Overall our athletic programs are improving and I am excited for the upcoming year to see success follow our sports teams.

4 College Senior

Academics: For the most part, I have been very fortunate with my professors, curriculum and so forth. Very easy to navigate and understand, also, very caring.

2 College Senior

Academics: There is not as much opportunity in my field of Criminal Justice available to all students. Specifically, in the over 50 category, (I'm 52), and as one gets older, it is more difficult to be employable.

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: UCF has an exceptional local atmosphere. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, clubs and attractions like Disney and Universal Orlando in the area.

5 College Junior

Diversity: After going to UCF for the past two years, I have seen a very diverse student body on campus.

5 College Junior

Campus Dining: I don't have a meal plan, but I have visited both dining halls and I found them to be excellent. They have a good selection of items and everything looks fresh. There are also several good dining options on campus.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: I came to UCF to enter their Health Science program because I heard good things from former students that professors really want you to succeed in your courses and they have so many tutorial help that could put you back on your game if you slip sideways. I want to succeed and be proud to wear the "KNIGHTS" symbol as a graduate of this great school

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The process of getting into the Biomedical Sciences major wasn't very difficult. It helps to have volunteer experience in the medical field.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: UCF is well respected and I am very interested in their pre-med program however, the schedule for classes is often difficult to cooperate with, at least for myself. I am very involved in many other activities and often take classes at Valencia as a transient student just to fit my schedule. Other than that, UCF is a great school

5 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek Life is not a bad thing. they show unity in one another to stride to get and be the best you can be and shows us as outsiders what being in the Greek life would bring to our lives in the long run as a society for brotherhood and sisterhood.

5 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Only notice students going out of their way to help the newcomers adjust to their Dorms and classes showing them positive images for wanting to be a student there on campus and no drug use was notice or any drinking. We all took a course in Alcohol and drug usage before entering school on campus to give us an heads up to what not to do and what to avoid

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There is a lot of different things to do in Orlando. There are some things very close to campus but Orlando is a huge place so there are a lot attractions that are a bit farther from campus. There is good shopping throughout Orlando and there are many theme parks to go to. There is also a downtown part of Orlando which is much more like a city whereas UCF is located in a more suburban area.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
