Majors: The process of getting into my Sports and Exercise Science program at UCF was fairly easy. I attended Lake Sumter State College anf obtained my Associate's Degree there and the school has a partnership with UCF called Direct Connect with UCF so that made it relatively easy for me to transfer and be accepted into my program of choice.

4 College Junior

Majors: I am about two weeks away from my first day of school at UCF. So far, all of the counselors and advisors I've spoken with have been very helpful in guiding me to pick the best program for me. I am very excited to start school and begin my journey to becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer.

Greek Life: Greeks have their own neighborhood on campus where all their houses are right next to eachother. Greeks have ample opportunities for on campus events and are treated kindly.

Off-Campus Housing: Lots of options and really nice facilities. Many are within minutes of campus

Guys & Girls: In the time I have been here I have met all sorts of different people with very unique personalities and interests. Florida is a melting pot of culture and at UCF you can meet people of many different ethnic backgrounds and from different parts of the U.S. For the most part however, guys here are either southern country bumpkins or "bros". The girls here are either hot beach babes or swave Latios

5 College Junior

Facilities: Campus life is great! So much school spirit and activities for everyone!

3 College Junior

Parking: Parking is not ideal so your be option is to shuttle to and from campus!

5 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The students are wonderful! Always willing to help and live healthy fit lifestyles!

Majors: There are a huge list of majors at UCF it just depends on what you want. Specifically because mine is not so common there's only one teacher and he only offers certain classes during certain semesters. Criteria is pretty plain and simple. Admission isn't a big deal.

4 College Junior

Transportation: There are a crap load of shuttles to different places and the personalized bus that goes from UCF directly to other places is really convenient. You don't have to walk many places or very far if you don't want to. It's actually pretty good.

2 College Junior

Parking: Parking can be the absolute worst....if you don't take the shuttle. You can take anywhere from 5-30 minutes looking for a spot (and that's if you have a permit). Be sure to get to campus early enough to deal with the shenanigans. One may get lucky though.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: Getting to and from downtown is pretty easy with the bus that runs directly from UCF; It's free when you have your ID and the most exciting part is no one has to drive! Plenty of places you can get in if you're underage. Parties are everywhere and there's another bus that goes there straight from UCF; free with ID.

Off-Campus Housing: Orlando it is a big city but the appartments are not expensive sometimes it is impossible to find a job because everyone is looking for a job

3 College Senior

Facilities: I believe the University of Central Florida has great opportunities with work-study as well as with the involvement they allow for undergrads for their fairly new medical school. With the medical school working so close with the college of medicine it allows students to get experience in research or conduct their own research as well as well as take some really intresting courses from teachers on the medical school board hint hint.

Athletics: I love the varisty sport at UCF if you are looking for school spirit this school is amazing when it comes to football and basketball games. The other teams are also just as fun to watch. There is great fan support by parents, family, faculty and friends. There are many athletic facilities around campus more or so located near each other except for the sand volleyball court.

2 College Senior

Weather: It's Florida it is extremely hot with every class pretty much in different buildings walking on such a large campus it gets a little frustrating also know it rains on and off so carry an umbrella and maybe consider buying a water proff backpack.

3 College Junior

Academics: Curriculum is very difficult but that is to be expected at a college level.

4 College Junior

Facilities: The student union is the most populated place where a ton of events go on. It is very modern. The recreation center and library are also very up to date and have a lot of resources that are available.

4 College Junior

Weather: The weather's not bad but it rains every so often. It floods the sidewalks sometimes but it's not that bad.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: University of Centra Florida is a big university you have many options when living on campus and even more so now with them building constantly. Freshmen dorms are not so good very small and a lot of things go down there with people getting used to being independent and all but I think that goes for every university. For on campus living the total for a year for room and board is about $9,000 maybe $7,500 if you're just wanting information on the dorm itself. It is very convenient to live on campus, however I would not recommend it for students who are extremely studious. If you have the money to live on campus stick with the newer ones for those who are concerned with a budget I suggest finding something off-campus that works with UCF like Knight circle but know that rent every month is $600 and up for almost all apartments around there.

3 College Junior

Academics: It's a very rigorous major that requires a lot of work and studying but it will prepare the student for schools beyond college such as grad school or medical school.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: You find all types of people at the University of Central Florida: Greek, athletes, intellectuals, party goers etc. There are a balance of attractive and non-attractive people from all ethnicity's, however more white than anything else. Many people especially those that are around campus all the time seem to be in relationships. People dress in a multitude of styles from preppy, to classy, to more rocker its college you see a pretty cool mix. Social life here is really good too around campus there is a lot to do and downtown is like 25-30 minutes away so with a good group of friend you could have a good time. Lots of parties on and near campus.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: I received an okay amount of financial aid because I sent in my FASFA three weeks late than what is recommended according to the financial aid department if you do not have your FASFA done by mid-February you are missing out on a lot of aid. My advice to you is get you tax papers as soon as you can and complete your FASFA for a max amount of aid. I also feel that this school does nothing to broadcast important dates about this like others school I have seen do. So be very aware of important dates on your own they are usually posted online. Make sure to keep up to date with financial aid advisers to see how everything processes.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: I feel that UCF's campus is pretty safe of course always be aware of what can happen especially at night if you live at campus make sure you know where you are dorming and don't be afraid to ask question about where you have been assigned. I feel safe on this campus we have campus security as well as campus police all around.

5 College Junior

Weather: The local weather affects my campus experience in a good way, because it is mostly sunny.and hot, and for me that is all one needs, since it makes one's mood change to happy every time you see the blue sky, and everything look marvelous.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
