Campus Housing: I personally live on campus at the Rosen Hospitality campus for UCF. It is the only school to major in not on the main campus location. Living here is convenient, there is a small gym on campus, bookstore, library within minutes of walking distance from the two apartment buildings on campus. The apartments have a small pool and barbecue area for students, a lounge on each floor for studying with tables, chairs and a tv for group gatherings. The apartments are furnished with the basic furniture necessary and a full kitchen for cooking. Each student has their own room and shares a bathroom with one other person. There is also housekeeping that comes once a week. The only downfall is that the apartments unlike the campus where the classrooms are, do not have wifi. There is wifi in the lounges themselves but not in the individual apartments

Greek Life: Greeks usually are the ones who throw many of the parties, that is, social activities created by students. They're also generally friendly towards non-Greeks and have no problem with i.geractinv with them. Non-Greeks view them as they view themselves considering the Greeks treat them indifferently.

Local Atmosphere: Being in the heart of Orlando UCF is located next to every type of atmosphere possible. We have downtown to the suburbs and everything in between. We have all of the major theme parks and many big name malls and outlet stores. I have never felt unsafe any place I have visited while living here.

Majors: I am somewhat happy in my program. I am learning massive amounts of information that will ready me for this industry. However I am beginning to feel like I chose the wrong major and that is the only reason I feel I would do this differently if I had the choice.

4 College Senior

Majors: There was no special items to complete to get into the Digital Media program. You simply declare your major and select the specific track you will be pursuing, Web Design or Game Design.

College Senior

Majors: I have held one off campus internship. It was very laid back however I did not feel that I was adding to my learning experiences. I was paid per project finished, and had to work many long hours to do so. I do plan to hold another internship in the future to further my knowledge and experience.

Majors: Many of the courses in this major are great. They're forward thinking and constantly evolving with the times. However there are a few classes that are stuck in time where older technologies reigned supreme and the curriculum has yet to be updated to newer techniques. Overall the major will supply someone with a working knowledge of the industry as long as they stay up to date.

Transportation: The only means of transportation I have used which is excellent is the bus service that UCF has to take students to and from their off campus housing communities and the bus also goes from the Main campus to the Hospitality campus 30 minutes west of main to help transport students with a hospitality, events or restaurant management degree.

5 College Senior

Academics: I am an Event Management major and the classes and professors are great. Most of the classes are really hands on which is exactly what a career in the profession needs. UCF even has an email listing that you can sign up for that notifies the students of all the hospitality related jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities to help you gain experience.

Diversity: The diversity of UCF is most concentrated on a large number of White people and a smaller number of hispanics and african americans. There is a smaller number of asians and muslims.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: I am not too familiar with the Greek lifestyle unfortunately for go to a regional campus.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Ucf according to students and their living brochures has an abundance of apartments and dorms for its students. I am fortunate that i do not require school dorms however, my fellow peers that do room at ucf confirm positive experiences.

4 College Senior

Parking: I am fortunate that i attend my university both online as well at a regional campus. The regional campus has designated parking for ucf students which in turn gives me a sense of exclusiveness.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: I believe the honor code system is commendable considering to be an enrolled student at this university is a privilege. The expectations are thus outlined and understood by all students. This includes strict enforcements regarding drugs/alcohol. What i find interesting are the alerts and notifications with respect to on campus suspicious activity as well indicating that our school truly cares for its students.

5 College Senior

Computers: There are plenty of computers that are readily available for students as are technical experts on site. I have had no problems with using any pc here on campus.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: I live in a small community in Orlando close to UCF. It's quiet and secluded and reasonably priced compared to other apartments. Amenities are included and it's within walking distance of Publix.

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: Students still drink, but are not offered alcohol by the school if underage.

3 College Freshman

Parking: The parking garages are in the corners of campuses. I wish they had some closer to the academic areas.

5 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The food service, quality and choice is outstanding.

3 College Freshman

Computers: They have plenty of computers and computer labs for everyone. I'm an apple lover so I don't use their computers and because I'm not a fan of the PC, I give them a B rating.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Everyone looks forward to the football, baseball and basketball games. Our enthusiasm is quite outstanding. Our gym facilities arguably might be the best in the country, just incredible.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm not involved in Greek Life so it would be unfair for me to rate it.

5 College Junior

Transportation: Free buses to and from off campus housing. Free buses downtown on weekends

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Local bars are great. 5 dollar cover and then free drinks for the rest of the night. Downtown is only a few miles away too.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Football is on the rise fast and many of the smaller sports such as women's soccer are always national contenders

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
