4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: College students can easily get away with having alcohol and drinking on campus, there are rarely any room checks and they don't look in your fridges or cabinets. I'm sure someone might rat you out for drugs if they can smell it in the halls. You can get caught without a parking pass pretty easily during the day, but the later in the day its easier to park for free.

3 College Junior

Parking: Parking can fill up during rush hours extremely easily, so take about 20 minutes just to find a spot before class. Prices are pretty good, but of course not free. The garages and spaces are really close to your classes. Parking is pretty well enforced, so if you don't have a parking pass you will get a ticket 75% of the time!

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Police can be seen every once in a while, though not overbearing. There are a couple instances of theft or small instances of harassment, but that comes with being the largest school around... Just try not to walk around in the middle of the night by yourself and you should be safe! There's alert phones and booths every couple yards with lights for safety just in case you need it.

Transportation: There is no transportation for the Daytona Beach UCF campus, but the fact that there is a UCF building there at all is convenient, it keeps people close by from having to live on or near campus or having to drive to Orlando.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The campus is very cooperative with the students; they are strict but not overbearing.

Weather: It is almost always hot, with the exception of lucky cool days. Although most of the time it is sunny and you don't have to worry about rain ruining your day.

Guys & Girls: Being such a large school, UCF has a wide variety of students from all different standings and backgrounds.

Computers: There are so many places to use computers on campus, but you can still use your own devices reliably without worry of faulty internet.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: UCF has great availability to transportation but sometimes the schedules of the shuttles are off from what they should be.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: The most drug use that I have seen is smoking cigarettes, but I know there is some drinking going on. UCF makes a statement with its smoke-free campus policy.

1 College Junior

Transportation: without your own car, you cannot survive.

3 College Junior

Facilities: student hangouts are nice in the student union

1 College Junior

Campus Housing: high price of rents for the university housing , I cannot afford that

College Junior

Majors: I never go for an internship, but I am worried about how to find one.

2 College Junior

Majors: I am happy with the major and the research subject but not the way of supervision of my adviser

2 College Junior

Parking: hard to find a spot after 9:00 AM

3 College Junior

Weather: it is usually warm and sunny in Florida, so the AC is always on and it is really cold inside the buildings such that I have to wear a jacket.

2 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel unsafe for those times I have to stay longer at the school and have to go to the parking garage alone

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: not so safe at night

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Social atmosphere around campus is good!

4 College Junior

Athletics: very nice gym and good training classes in various sport fields

2 College Junior

Parking: Parking is bad at UCF. There are so many students with cars that its so hard to find parking. Sometimes you want to park and go to class and you cant do that. You have to around in circles for a while. In rare occasions you will get lucky and find someone leaving. Its hard to find parking between 9 and 5. Its not bad at night or really early in the morning.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
