Campus Dining: The student union has several places to eat; they're all pretty much fast food, but there are a few healthy options, about three places on campus are open until 9, then 1 open later than that, one open all night, and two actual restaurants that are open fairly late, there are also meal plans available through the school.

Off-Campus Housing: I don't live off campus, but there are a lot of options right around the school and a little further away and the cost seems to vary from very affordable to much nicer more expensive places.

Local Atmosphere: UCF is located very close to Orlando downtown, so the city walk and all the downtown clubs are very cool to go to, there are theme parks, and a lot of these UCF students will get discounted tickets for. Then the other area of downtown has a lot of museums and clubs and is a really cute area. The college area right around campus has a few clubs and places to eat, bowling, its alright for the college part if you dont want to go far to have fun.
the shopping is okay, if you want to drive about 30 minutes to the mall at milenia there are a lot of options, also there is a town center right around the school, and places like goodwill and platos closet, which for broke college students are pretty good places to go.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I'm majoring in chemistry and they have a good chemistry program, I'm just in the general classes for it so far, but they have a really good career track for it, and I don't think the workload is too hard at all.

3 College Freshman

Academics: My workload has been pretty low here at UCF while still learning what I need to for my classes.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: There are a lot of campus parties in dorms and through fraternities and there are a few very popular clubs around the school, plus the school has a party bus that will take you downtown to party in the Orlando night life.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I guess they have a fair supply of scholarships supplied through the school, I didn't apply for any of them originally and just had to take out loans.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a few places off campus that are pretty convenient for late night snacking, there is steak and shake, wing zone, pita pit, and quite a bit of other options, a lot of them deliver so that's pretty simple, and they are all pretty reasonably priced. We even have midknight munchies which is special to the UCF area when you can get late night cookies deliveries!

5 College Freshman

Athletics: The gym here at UCF is amazing and huge, I love it!

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Even after visiting and staying with friends at other universities across florida I wouldn't want to go anywhere other than ucf.

4 College Freshman

Weather: The weather here is Florida weather, so naturally, its bipolar. Overall it is very hot during the summer and fall, and very humid, and sometimes rainy, in the winter it seems to get to be around 50, so its a pretty warm climate here at UCF.

1 College Freshman

Scholarships: I have had great difficulty and the financial aide office has been anything but helpful in assisting me in receiving my aide in a timely manner.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I walk/long board back from friends dorms late at night and have never felt scared or threatened in any way. Actually, whenever I am stressed or upset walking across campus makes my day better.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Although I do not eat out at school a lot due to the prices and the fact that I do not have a meal plan, the few experiences I have had with dining on campus have been good overall and I have no complaints aside from the sky high prices.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: With tailgating allowed on campus drinking is encouraged on game days. This is always a fun day to go an d support your favorite Frat beer pong champ! Drugs aren't aloud on campus, nor is smoking. but everyday the supporters of Normal, the marijuana legalization club, are standing outside giving their opinion.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The two main colleges in Orlando are UCF and Valencia. I have many friends that go to Valencia that are great people. Orlando has one of the highest rates in Florida for people attending school and then staying in this location because it is so popular and the wide verity of jobs.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: It is strongly recommended to have your own computer, with Microsoft Word. Without this you will fail any online class and any Gordon rule class. the print labs are many, but it is not a good environment to write a paper in, there is alot of stress in the air and it is a no-nonsense place. Save yourself the stress, buy a computer.

5 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Orlando is the peak of entertainment. With so many bars, frats, and house parties its hard to get homework done. There is always a party to go to if you need a break from regular work. The clubs are always packed and there are many clubs hat offer ladies night and happy hour specials.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The admission was all online. I enrolled online and was accepted online. I strongly recommend checking the site regularly to see if you have been accepted, because they do not send out acceptance letters. The best way to ensure you get accepted is to work hard on your SAT and ACT scores, as well as writing an excellent essay.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I have not had an internship, and I do not wish to have one with UCF because they do not offer the job i want. Although i hear that they have a very nice selection of paid and unpaid internships.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: Every Wednesday is referred to as Marketplace day. Many local people from all different backgrounds come together and preach, sell a good, or offer input on a plethora of things. This helps everyone feel at home and it is always a nice fun time to try and navigate through the hordes of people.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: The teachers are the best in the English and Rhetoric division. With such small classes they are willing to always sit down and talk face to face with you. The only hard professors are the foreign ones with thick accents. Fortunately extra help is offered so you will not fall behind.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I am in the college of Business and i find the workload to be very reasonable. the teachers here are helpful and the TA's even more so. In every class there are always people willing to help you raise your grade by showing you how and what to study.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Student life at UCF is excellent. The campus is so easy to navigate, and the housing is impressive by universities standards. Every four people get their own bathroom instead of the usual one bathroom per floor rule. the student union is the best place to be. Located right outside the "Marketplace" there are many people wanting to help you and give you free promotional gear.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Athletics at the University of Central Florida are superb. We were just ranked on the football team as being one of the best in our division. the IM sports are very exciting and i have been to many of the games. One of the most popular is flag football because it allows girls and boys to compete and have a fun way to exercise. Soccer season for IM is coming up. and I'll be cheering on the UCF Knights.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
