3 College Junior

Scholarships: I received financial aid after some runarounds with the financial aid department, which doesn't house the friendliest or most available staff.

College Freshman

Diversity: I don't really pay attention or judge people by their race or religion.

College Freshman

Parking: I live on campus with a car. The second day after I moved in, I got my parking decal. There is always a few spaces near my building when I come back from driving, but I don't know how difficult the parking garages are. I don't think one needs a car while on campus as long as someone in your group of friends has one.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I usually see alot of drunk people at night and hear of parties going on but UCF is a smoke free campus so you cant do that on campus but off its a totally different story , one of our improv group even performs at a hookah bar every other monday.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: there are many just two different types of races at UCF white and african american not much of anything else. Most people are from florida as well.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: orlando has alot to offer and is a huge city with alot to do university of central florida has alot to do and well keep you busy every is pretty friendly but may have trouble making friends

5 College Sophomore

Majors: no difficulties at all. one needs to earn a C or higher in courses corresponding to their program

4 College Sophomore

Majors: light workload, which helps get in touch with your career.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: amazing program that offers a plethora of diversity.

5 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: With UCF being such a huge campus, the amount of diversity on campus is amazing. There are so many people from all different walks of life.

5 College Senior

Facilities: the campus life is live! There is always something to do!

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: UCF has a great variety of girls youll definitely find what your looking for.

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: The drug scene at UCF is not noticeable but it does happen

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are tons, and I mean tons, of restaurants near by. We have more than you could even imagine ranging from fast food, family, and fancy.

4 College Junior

Diversity: There are many different groups on campus. In my fraternity, we have almost every ethnic group along with people from different economic backgrounds and sexual orientations.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: You get what you pay for, simple as that. I feel safe in my apartment complex but you have to remember Orlando does have a higher crime rate than normal. Off duty police officers patrol apartment complexes most nights.

3 College Junior

Parking: There are about 5 parking garages on campus but they fill up very quickly. Parking lots are your second option but again, they also fill up quickly. Be prepared to come to school a half hour early to park.

3 College Senior

Majors: Since I have a passion for Psychology I feel I made the best decision when I declared it as my major. A major part of me though feels it will be harder to find a good payable job out in the field once I graduate with this major rather than if I would of chosen something in the health field. My goal is to take a few extra classes at some point in health related topics that will broaden my knowledge allowing me to apply for a wider variety of jobs.

4 College Senior

Majors: It was quite simple to get into my desired program of Psychology. No additional application or screening process was needed. I did however declared my major and submitted it to a guidance advisor who then met with me to lay out a plan to aid me in completing my program in a timely manner.

5 College Senior

Majors: I am seeking a degree in Counseling and Marriage Psychology and up to this point I have thoroughly enjoyed being apart of this program. I get emails periodically asking for research assistants and even students to help participate in field or lab experiments which is very helpful and exciting. My program has given me an opportunity to venture out and take additional classes that fit the programs curriculum but also allows me to be knowledgeable in related fields.

5 College Senior

Majors: As a psychology student finding an internship is more difficult in the counselor phycology area than other fields. I have already contacted local rehabilitation centers and crisis centers in hopes that I will be able to sit in on sessions and or classes be given. My goal is to intern at various places before I begin my graduate program, which will allow me to choose one internship once I graduate. I plan to give my full attention to that one job, and take on all responsibilities thrown my way.

4 College Senior

Majors: I am a pre-professional major and I have not had a current internship and I do not plan of having an internship due to my current career field. As a lead paramedic for a fire department and assistant instructor in several advanced life support classes, I feel like focusing my time I'm not working on my school work and extra curricular activities.

4 College Senior

Majors: As a pre-medical major, I am very happy with my program. I would do it all over again because the university offers great classes and the pre-professionalism major is well outlined. I currently work as a paramedic and I am pursuing medical school to work as a pediatric oncologist. I have a passion for medicine that has been exponentially expanded by my current career and has given me specific goals and drive to reach my "dream job".

5 College Senior

Majors: I am in pre-medical program and I love the classes they offer for us, especially compared to other universities. The electives are in depth, interesting, challenging, and the professors are wonderful and passionate in their subjects. It is a hard work load to deal with while managing a full time schedule but it is not impossible. It's made easier by how amazing and interactive professors are.

2 College Senior

Majors: Getting into my pre-medical major was relatively easy. I transferred to UCF and contacted the biomedical sciences advisers and I was sent to take the orientation for pre-medical school. However, the advisers are not very helpful for students who work full time. They half-hazardly helped and then told me it would be difficult and to figure it out.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
