5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: There are so many dining options for healthy eaters! :)

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Career services do a great job with helping students find opportunities

4 College Sophomore

Computers: The computers on campus are not bad at all. They run smoothly every time I use them.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I have felt safe on campus and I have never felt in danger.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Campus strictness is pretty strict on drug use and underage drinking, so don't do that stuff.

3 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Nightlife at University of Central Florida is pretty fun. I hang out with my friends on campus at house parties or at the gym to work out.

3 College Senior

Facilities: Life on campus is good for what it is. There are not a lot of things wrong with it but I would rather experience the things off campus has to offer.

3 College Senior

Athletics: Sports at UCF are fun events to watch and share school spirit. However this is not a big sport school, so if that is what you are interested in I would go somewhere else.

5 College Junior

Diversity: On my campus, Rosen College, we have an enormous amount of international students. It is really great to see and live with people from other countries.

3 College Junior

Computers: Once again, I do not live on main camous so I do not know what the computers are like over there. However, the computers at the Rosen campus are great. They are nothing fancy, can be a luttle slow, but for the most part always get the job done.

3 College Junior

Athletics: School spirit is great when it comes to football. I however do not live on the main campus, so am unable to get excited about sports with the rest of the student body.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: they do what they can with security they usually get it sooner then later

3 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid process is very tideous. Whatever is online for you to do on the "to do list" DO IT! I recieved a decent amount of aid. It wasnt a lot but every penny counts so i had to be thankful .

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: The drug scene doesnt seem to be large at UCF. It all depends who you surronded yourself with. My friends and i are all positive people and drugs is the last thing on our mind, so i really dont get exposed to it that much

3 College Junior

Parking: UCF is very strict about parking. Cars that are parked without a permit do recieve a fine. Although the parking permit is expensive it does last the whole year and it saves you from paying tickets. Luckily the community i live in has a shuttle that transports me to and from school daily so parking issues are not something i face.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Our football team isn't know to be the greatest but our facilities are excellent. We have several gyms available to students that have every am amenity you could want including a two story rock wall.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: There are lots of scholarships available at UCF and there are a lot of people that want to help you get those scholarships.

3 College Junior

Majors: UCF has great job placement programs for graduates and it does have a large selection of majors. But there have been cuts in the past few years due to lack of state funding. There are less language and art classes and my program Linguistics was completely cut 4 years back.

4 College Junior

Computers: There are lots of computer labs located around campus that anyone can use. But the best thing are the SGA sponsored labs. There you can get free printing and other amenities. You have a daily limit but I've never personally reached it. Also our tech support is extremely useful. I've used them before and my problems have always been fixed.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The students at UCF are very attractive. There are often model agencies on campus recruiting. Also the students are very involved in campus life. There are lots of active organizations and clubs. And in general the students are very outgoing and friendly.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: There's a lot of options and something for everyone. UCF is in Orlando so there's lots of neighborhoods with their own style and closeness to campus. And there's a lot of price ranges an availability. As well as type of complex like apartment, rental home, townhouse, etc.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: When transferring into UCF, there were many videos and tests that I had to take and pass before I could sign up for class. These included, academic integrity and alcohol edu. There have been many cases of cheating and plagiarism that have caused students to be kick out of clubs and greek life and worse, school. Game days are also times when school policies are enforced. If an official sees a student with a drink in their hand, they will automatically ask for an ID. They do not mess around with alcohol here on campus.

4 College Senior

Nightlife: All nightlife around the UCF area is 18+ to enter but 21+ to consume alcohol. Focusing more on school than going out, I don't necessarily know how busy all the days get. I do however know that when I go out on random weekends, it gets pretty busy. I know a couple of people that have gotten DUIs which shows that police officers do not mess around about drinking and driving and I don't blame them one bit.

4 College Senior

Facilities: Being that I am a hospitality major at UCF in the number one tourist destination in America, Orlando and the surrounding campus area has much to offer. My major holds monthly career fairs specifically for hospitality because the industry is constantly growing and looking for potential prospects. Employers feels confident coming to UCF because they know we have the knowledge that can be an asset to their company.

4 College Senior

Facilities: Student life on campus at the University of Central Florida is very diverse which is why I love being a Golden Knight. Walking around campus feels like home to me. I get to walk by the beautiful reflection pond and admire it's beauty on a daily basis, smell the deliciousness of all the food joints including chik-fil-a, sbaros and subway (YUM), and feel a sense of connection with all the students I walk by, knowing that we all go to the number one biggest school in the nation.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
