4 College Freshman

Athletics: Students are very involved and football is very big on campus. They even cancel afternoon classes on home game days because most students attend since it is now free for them. Also, basketball is pretty big too yet there are a wide variety of varsity and intermural sports.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Extremely diverse. There are students and faculty of all backgrounds and with many different beliefs yet they all coexist without judging or bullying each other.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus is clean and everyone around is friendly.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Attending the largest populated University in Florida, I have noticed a very diverse and friendly array student body. I don't live on campus so my experiences might not be the same if did, however the area where UCF is located is one of the most diverse places i've been in.

Local Atmosphere: Orlando is a great place to visit and live in. There are so many attractions, restaurants, nightclubs, and places to relax. The area is very diverse, so no matter where you're from, you wont feel left out. I personally enjoy being in the atmosphere created by the UCF community.

Drug Safety: There are officers and security workers making sure that students are safe!!!

Parking: We have parking, but more would be better since the majority of our students are commuters.

Drug Safety: People have access to it but its about choosing your friends wisely. School does enforce drug policies

Nightlife: Central Florida has plenty to do for the nightlife. A ridiculous amount of parties, bar scenes, although I don't know about the underage nightlife, I would bypass most night clubs and stick to the parties.

5 College Junior

Academics: At UCF there are lots of people willing to help with homework and the SI sessions help.

4 College Junior

Academics: There is lots of work load and you have to stay on top of others

5 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: UCF is has a best study environment and help full tutors.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: I am new to the campus so I can not really give it an exact grade, but from what I have heard it is not as bad as let's say Florida State.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: There is a lot to do on campus. There is a fitness and wellness center, that includes a pool and rock wall to name a couple things. There are sidewalks everywhere to jog, bike or skateboard on. The campus is easily accessible to retail stores and entertainment. If you look you shall find a lot to do.

Local Atmosphere: It's in the center of Florida, right in Orlando and perfect. You go two hours west you get to Tampa, where there are beaches, LEGOLAND, and Busch Gardens. One hour east you get Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center, and then four hours south to Miami. You are in the hub for tourism. You have Disney and Universal, I-Drive (a street full of shopping, dining, and some attractions), lots of large shopping malls, and other attractions. Then there is downtown Orlando, where Amway Arena is, that houses the Orlando Magic basketball team, other sports team, and concerts. If you are looking for night life, downtown has an area dedicated to clubbing as well as clubs close to the college. The people are normal here but the traffic can be bad. There is some crime. Just like anywhere you go it’s important to be wise, have a friend, and be alert.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: Parts of the campus has buildings that have been around for 50 years while others are new or renovated, but there is something about the campus that is lively and pleasant. The recreation and wellness center has expanded and it's perfect. Surrounding it are lots of fields, a few pools, and other sport facilities. If you like sport they offer clubs for any sport and have competitive events. The library is large with about 4 floors. There is always a concert, sport, or just genereal fun event happening. One big tradition is on homecoming when the students run into the school fountain. Anywhere on campus there are places to hang, mostly our student union and around our fountain, and other facilities to just lounge, shop, or study.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: It's typical for Florida. We are smack dab in the middle of the state. So summers are really hot and rainy. The winters are on and off cold, if you are a native from up north it's not that cold. Fall and Spring are beautiful. So generally its great weather year round.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: University of Central Florida is always growing and changing to stay modern. The campus is lively, full of school spirit, and with a lot of fun events, day or night. The sport events are always exciting. There are many resources offered at the school that help you greatly. It offers many majors and programs which are structured in a way to get you a stepping stone for success. UCF is located in Orlando. There are so many things to do here to keep you entertained. Also it is surrounded by many types of companies, in any major you choose at UCF, that are associated with the school. So just saying you’re a UCF student is a plus. Only downside is that the attendance is growing. If you don't live near campus, traffic is bad, and parking is worse.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I have received scholarships such as Florida Bright Futures but it didn't cover as much as I thought it would be.

4 College Junior

Transportation: The in campus shuttles run frequently with no cost.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining options are very similar to that of in-campus. There's several fast food restaurants and sit-in restaurants. There is student discount in most places if you tell them that you are a student and show them your student card. There are also a variety of Mexican, Japanese, Greek, and other restaurants so you can pick and choose what kind of food you are hungry for.

5 College Senior

Facilities: The professors are amazing and very patient . They give you their all. Downside is the lack of financial aid.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
