5 College Senior

Diversity: There is a huge amount of diversity on campus and everyone seems to get along very well.

5 College Senior

Majors: There are always internship and job opportunities coming to us on campus. It seems easier for us to connect to companies than at most other universities nearby. The curriculum and professors are relatively good; some are great and some are not.

4 College Senior

Majors: I have had an internship and my experience was relatively good. The process was easy and accessible. I am seeking out a new internship and I do not have concerns about being able to find another one.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are quite a few options near the school. There's always something new to try.

Campus Strictness: The management of the school budget and the student government association sometimes make things pretty strict. Tuition seems to be increasing quite often but at the same time there are all events and free things to participate in on campus. I know that there are students in leadership positions in many clubs on campus that say that the budget allocation is one of the most strict things they deal with aside from scheduling and renting out areas for events.

Campus Strictness: I used to live on-campus at the Rosen College of Hospitality and the expeience was great. The RA and community center officers are very nice, but know when to enforce the rules. The campus is gated and always has a security guard on duty, which makes the campus very safe. I felt safe and secure while living there.

Local Atmosphere: UCF is not just a college town, it's in the heart of Orlando and you can always find something to do, whether it be the parks like Universal or Disney, or making the 30 minute drive to the beach.

Off-Campus Housing: The apartments are abundant and most provide shuttles that run to and from campus every 20 minutes or so, but they are very pricey. I paid 745 a month for a one bedroom that was one of the older apartments in the area. This price included all amenities except electric. The bigger apartments throw lots of great parties, but one bedroom can cost you around 1000 a month.

Athletics: Sports are widely attended, and there are a ton of IM's offered through the RWC for just about any sport possible. The gym for all students is amazing, even better than any L.A. fitness and free for any student enrolled.

Overall Experience: I transferred to UCF from a private school and it was the best decision I've made. The campus is beautiful and there's truly a group or organization for anyone to get involved in. I feel like I'm getting the education I need and having a blast with the night life. GO KNIGHTS!

Campus Dining: UCF has a ton of dining options on campus including popular restaurants like Chic-fil-a, Huey Magoos, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, and many more!

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus, but I know many who do and they haven't had any complaints. UCF's campus has just about anything one would need while living on campus. It's like its own little community.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The guys on campus are usually very fit and attractive.

Campus Strictness: The University has its policies, but nothing extraordinarily strict. You can appeal any offenses, such as parking. I haven't had any problems

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: I think the drug use is average for a university, from my understanding.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Think of anything you would want to eat (within normal diet) and I'm sure you can find it within 15 minutes of campus.

4 College Junior

Weather: The weather here in Orlando is usually very warm and nice. Can get pretty hot in the summer months, but overall bearable.

5 College Junior

Nightlife: The night life around UCF is great. There are multiple bars close by that usually have free drinks till midnight. Downtown Orlando is about 20 minutes away with many clubs and strips of bars as well. Definitely one of the best parts about going to UCF.

4 College Junior

Parking: The parking decal only costs $50.00 a semester, which is very reasonable, but its hard to find spots after a certain time of day.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: I had no problems with receiving my financial aid. I could accept loans/scholarships online which was extremely easy.

3 College Junior

Transportation: The shuttles around campus go to multiple areas and to some of the surrounding apartments. I used to take it to school from my apartment every day. The only issue I had was the varying times the shuttle would pick-up/drop off.

1 College Junior

Transportation: The area around school is very conjested because of the amount of people that live in the area and there really is no good public transportation in the area

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
