2 College Freshman

Scholarships: I have found no assistance in scholarships as of yet and have no scholarship assistance even though I am under the age of 21, filed dependent and make less than 15 thousand dollars a year.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: The library is huge and greatly helpful. The student union is very centralized on the campus. The help desk is extremely helpful, more so than any other help desk I have ever met.

4 College Senior

Athletics: All the athletic students try their best every time they perform. There is a very good recreational and wellness center that serves many students with a variety of group fitness, machines, and activities.

4 College Senior

Academics: The rate of graduation is improving since there are many efforts that faculty and administrators make to keep improving. There are a variety of workshops and at-risk programs to help students.

4 College Senior

Academics: My college cares about their students and are making efforts in improving student success.

Athletics: Varsity sports are well attended, however, basketball is the biggest draw while football is mostly enjoyed for the tailgates and parties instead of the game. Basketball and soccer seem to do the best, but the facilities are pretty nice for everything.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: There are so many walks of life represented on campus. There is a niche for everyone. Most people are grouped into cliques if not in Greek life, but that can be a positive thing because there is literally a club, sport or outlet for every style, intelligence, and hobby.

4 College Senior

Campus Dining: There are a variety of options on campus including two "cafeterias" included in the meal plan. Some of the better options include Chick-fil-A, sushi, Subway, Smoothie King and many other options that encompass a wide variety of cultural and healthy food options.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Tough to get the classes you need toward degree. Teachers are excellent but don't all seem to care about teaching. Atmophere is friendly and welcoming. Staf is helpfull.

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: As soon as you step foot onto our college you can see the diverse community. Orlando is such a great place to be at because it attracts many cultures such as asians, latin americans, islanders, europeans and our good ol' boys from america. The women here are sooo beautiful and intelligent with down to earth personalities. WE LOVE UCF!

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: We have good food selections in and around campus and with the prices of food increases the harder it is to eat healthy.

4 College Senior

Drug Safety: I believe that UCF has a great drug free and alcohol policy enforced. I haven't seen people smoking pot or popping pills when I walk through dorms or apartments. I think that the student government has done an excellent job educating new student as well as returning students on effects of alcohol. Great Job UCF!!

4 Recent Alumnus

Majors: I am a psychology major. The process of getting into my program was not difficult to do at all. It just required a paper to fill out, provided at the registrar's office. If you are an incoming freshman and not a transfer student-- i think it gets automatically taken care of at Orientation, depending on the major.
The only somewhat tough part is getting into the Psychology courses when the popular ones get "full."

Athletics: Our football team has improved.... However, the student involvement at actual games has not necessarily increased. I feel that many students unfortunately just take advantage of the opportunity to tailgate on campus hours prior to the game, but then do not stay for the whole game. Ironically, school spirit seems to be high considering lack of fan support.

3 Recent Alumnus

Diversity: I feel that UCF's student body includes a myriad of cultures. However, I might have to attribute some of this due to an availability heuristic-- it could be possible that I also surround myself by minorities often since I am part of the Diversified Greek Council on campus. I also associate myself with people of all religions, SES, beliefs, sexual orientations, races and ethinicities, etc. UCF could use a little more diversity but in comparison to other schools it is magnificent.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Variety of international restaurants that are very affordable.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: There are many events that I find very entertaining and interesting!

3 College Senior

Academics: You'll Learn – Thought the class sizes at times seems overwhelming you'll learn. There teachers interact well with the students and know how to teach to a huge class room. But note not all classes are huge lecture halls. The school makes great use of technology but no worries a student can soon adapt.

5 College Senior

Facilities: SGA Computer Lab – -Super Helpful
-Extended hours
-Helpful and friendly staff
-Manageable wait times during parts of the day
-Very peaceful relaxed environment
-Has both Windows and 2 apple computers so they fit your computer need/style
-A great part of the school
-simply lovely

4 College Senior

Transportation: There are many shuttles. Go to different housing complex, locations off campus dealing with the school, there's even a shuttle that circles the school clockwise and counterclockwise because it's big. There is also an app for tracking the shuttles location and approximate distance and arrival time. Takes a little while but you get used to the shuttles and app.

4 College Senior

Facilities: A great school. Super diverse, there is literally something going on everyday, more clubs than you can counts. Beautiful look, indoors and out.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Financial aid was recieved pretty smoothly for tuition purposes, but there's some confusion with fee waivers and textbook programs for freshmen. I'm still waiting to see how long it takes for refunds to be dispersed.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Students are very involved and football is very big on campus. They even cancel afternoon classes on home game days because most students attend since it is now free for them. Also, basketball is pretty big too yet there are a wide variety of varsity and intermural sports.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Extremely diverse. There are students and faculty of all backgrounds and with many different beliefs yet they all coexist without judging or bullying each other.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus is clean and everyone around is friendly.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
