Athletics: Our athletic department is very involved. There is no "I" in team. That's how we view each other. Every student at UCF are fans, our school spirit is like no other. Some of the best athletic facilities for one of the biggest universities in the Nation.

Campus Strictness: My school is strict about how their students act outside of school and on campus. They don't like seeing headlines with our name in it. Other than that, my school is very lenient and understanding.

Academics: The engineering program, especially industrial, is top notch in ucf and thats only one major. UCF prides themselves in academics there are many services they provide that are free to help you pass your classes all you have to do is look

Health & Safety: UCF does a lot of email alerts the moment something is going on on or near campus. There are services that they provide for your safety. As long as you are smart and make sure your car, apartment, bike, etc. are locked up and you dont go wandering alone at night while drinking like your going to die in two seconds you will be fine. The school is safe as long as you make smart choices at night.

Guys & Girls: UCF is a very diverse school, there are people from big cities, some internationally, and others from small home towns. Then there can be people who are engineering majors building rockets on one side of the road then on the other side have the art majors creating a masterpiece or practicing their lines for an audition. This is the same for nationality there is not just african americans, hispanics, asians, or caucasians. UCF is a great school cause its a place where being who you are is the norm and the idea of conforming to follow the crowd is such an old school idea that is frowned upon.

Diversity: UCF is one of the most diverse places I have ever been to. Not only does the school have 60,000 students, but every day I meet someone different. I cannot even begin to explain how many religions and ethnicities I see every single day I am on campus. I cannot say that the majority of students are white, black, or Asian because there really is a equal mixture of all races and cultures that come to UCF from all around the world. Everyone I meet is eager to learn about the different backgrounds and practices of other students.

Athletics: UCF is really big on sports and making sure everyone has opportunities and is comfortable. The Rec and Wellness center (our gym) is amazing! it is huge and has exercise opportunities for all interests and abilities. There is an olympic sized pool which is open to students to use, there are volleyball courts and racquetball courts, and the Bright House Football Stadium is enormous. The school spirit during football games is indescribable!

Nightlife: There are not that many parties, and when there are they are not really open to everyone as they are fraternity or sorority parties. Also, most places around the area are 21+ to get in and that excludes pretty much half the student population. Transportation is good, though, because it is provided for all students to get pretty much anywhere near the campus. There is also a shuttle that transports students to and from Downtown Orlando where the main clubs and stuff are!

Health & Safety: UCF is a huge campus with an enrollment of over 35,000 student.

I have seen that the administration holds Health and Safety as the highest priority. Classrooms, other facilities, and dorms as well as interfaces with the surrounded community are designed and maintained to give perceived and real first class sanitary, healthy, and safe, but comfortable and convenient. Communication between health and safety administration to the student population is excellent. They use emails, text, etc. quite effectively. It certainly is Not a police state. They also try to generate an atmosphere of caring for each other and responsibility. I really experience and feel very good about the provii=sion of health and safety at UCF.

Weather: Great Florida weather.

Mostly sunny and warm -- eighties.

Sufficient rain to cool things off.

Cool very pleasant weather ( 50 -70 degrees ) Dec to Feb.

Its the best in the world.

Especially since the campus design and facilities are really well put together for convenient access and safety.

Academics: Professors are excellent and world class. They are generally accessible.

Class sizes are large in computer science, and student caliber is high. Many students have experience, or prior knowledge to course contents. The pace is fast and intense. The curriculum however, is geared towards getting a job versus being innovative and entrepreneurial. Students need to be motivated to seek counseling in order to make best choices regarding add/drops etc. UCF is an A rated institution, so they deliver, and students really need to be responsible and self empowered for maximum benefits.

Athletics: Sport events are one of the main highlights of most weekends. There are many choice, both for participants, and fans. The training grounds, and facilities are first class. I particularly like the gym. These facilities have helped me to improve my health

Communications about events are quite appropriate. Most students take pride in local UCF teams as our teams compete with other universities.

I am the number one fan of UCF athletics and sports.

Academics: I enjoyed and grew at UCF over the past year. The system has a lot of great resources for learning, interaction and safety as well.

Areas where UCF can improve though is offering more relevant courses. For example, in computer science, much of the course contents are not relevant to becoming a subject matter expert and becoming an entrepreneur. The content is geared to be an employee, and going with the flow. The professors are highly competent, however some do not speak English well. The overall environment certainly is very warm, and positive, safe, great facilities and sociable. I like UCF and want to contribute to make it even better.

Drug Safety: while the college does make an effort to keep alchohol usage to a low. Many of the students are 21 and therefore can legally drink. This public amount of drinking, mostly during the football or other sporting event, leads younger, not legal students to feel the pressure to drink in order to fit in with the scene. However, even in these scenarios the university does provide more police patrols around campus, as well as an amnesty hotline, so if a student were ever in serious danger, they can call for help with no penalties towards themselves.

Health & Safety: UCF is a very safe campus. Despite being one of the largest universities in the country, they've managed to make the campus pretty much crime free. I've never felt like I was in danger on campus, even walking around at night by myself. Campus police will make their nightly rounds on bike to keep an eye on things, but for the most part there is not much for them to do unless you count helping non-sober students back to their dorms. I always feel safe when I'm at UCF.

Transportation: UCF does a pretty good job of providing transportation for its students. There are free shuttles that run between campus and a majority of the nearby apartment complexes during the week. The reason I've given them a B+ is the lack of a reliable bus schedule. They leave UCF once the bus is full, so if you're waiting for one to pick you up from an apartment complex you may be waiting a bit. However, there is an app available for download to let you gps your shuttle and see when they're close to you, and there is usually a shuttle every 15 minutes. Other than the slight unpredictability, the shuttles are a wonderful transportation service. Always clean, safe, and comfortable.

Academics: There seem to be a lot of great clubs and organizations at the University of Central Florida. I am constantly seeing students promoting their groups in front of the student union. Even better, is that there seems to be a real sense of interest. Extra curriculars help set students apart, and UCF is not lacking in options.

Off-Campus Dining: There are not a lot of great option around the school. It is a lot of the run of the mill chain restaurants. It's even worse if you are looking for a healthy option. I do see more local businesses popping up, even some vegetarian/vegan options!

Academics: I am very grateful to be studying under such an incredible faculty. As a theatre student I find all of my professors to be engaging and adaptive. I can see their genuine desire to pass on their knowledge. I appreciate their honesty and feedback. Additionally, we have fantatstic TA's, who will make incredible professors one day. We encourage a genuine network of support, and I see this group of instructors developing one very strong program.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
