4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: There have not been that many safety issues on campus as far as I'm aware of.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Our network works really fast when it is working. However, there have been several times when the wifi has not been working at all.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The academics at our school is pretty good overall. Most of the professors are very nice and easy going, the curriculum isn't too bad, and there are several different places to study or get tutoring.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek students are usually viewed negatively by non-greeks and vice versa. Greeks do get to live in nice big chapter houses if they choose to.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Our school is very strict about the important things like alcohol and drug use. They are less strict about things such as visitation in the dorms.

3 College Sophomore

Transportation: Our school does have a program where people can rent a car. We are also 30 minutes away from the airport for those people who live farther away.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Our school is in a great location so there are several off-campus dining options. There are really nice, expensive places and there are also quick and easy, cheap places. I have rarely seen places that give student discounts, but there are a variety of different options.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The only financial aid I have ever received was Bright Futures. However, I have been applying continuously for other scholarships.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: We have a very diverse campus, however not everyone is accepting of this.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Athletics are a big part of our school. We have a lot of spirit, and everyone loves to tailgate and go to football games.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I love how my major is very broad and can set you up for several different careers. My career goal is to be a physician assistant and I don't have any concerns about find a job in this field.

College Sophomore

Majors: There was no application process to get into this program. Anyone can switch their major to health sciences. I actually began my college career as an engineering major and then switched to health sciences.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I have never actually seen anyone on campus using drugs, but I will hear people talk about it.

4 College Junior

Weather: The weather is always great. Mostly clear skies during the day and a cool breeze at night.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: There is always a party going on. Downtown has nice, relaxing bars to go to and UCF provides transportation to avoid drunk driving.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I have never experienced something to make me feel unsafe at UCF but there are many dark pathways that make me feel unsafe. This is especially relevant because I am always on campus until late at night and it is very very dark.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There is a restaurant for everyone within 10 minutes from UCF and they are very good restaurants.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I have never lived on campus so I do not know what it is like.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: I have never had an issue with anyone using drugs on campus.

4 College Junior

Athletics: The gym is great and has something for everyone. It is kept very clean and has a lot of machines.

3 College Junior

Computers: There are usually many issues with the wireless internet. The computers in the ENGINEERING building are absolutely horrible.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: The greek life should not be the basis of the university. Too much emphasis is placed on these groups and not enough on the students that truly work hard for their education.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: The employees seem to be miserable working at the office and makes it miserable for the students trying to speak to them. It doesnt seem like they care at all about the students struggles to get through college, they only care about the money.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I'm still learning about my opportunities with UCF.

4 College Freshman

Weather: Rain or shine I'm there

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
