2 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Because my parents are in a specific bracket, I do not receive aid. I need financial aid because my parents have bills to pay. The money they make isn't just for my education. It's to survive.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Our football team has reached new heights, but besides that, I'm not too sure.

4 College Freshman

Academics: It is easy to find good teachers and I have met a lot that really care about their students.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Most people say it is cheaper to live off campus, but then you have to find transportation to campus and parking is always a hassle.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: They seem like they have a lot of fun and get the most out of their college experience.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Everyone is completely unique. I haven't met one person with the same background as another.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: I LOVE our gym. It's huge and it has an awesome rock climbing facility.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: Rosen college of hospitality is like going to a completely different school. I absolutely love my program. It has its own separate campus and it's a tight knit group. They give us lots of job opportunities and invite many speakers to talk to us.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I would not go back if I could. I have had some of the best professors thanks to this program. I look forward going to classes everyday because they keep it so interesting and fun.

5 College Sophomore

Computers: SGA offers 50 free pages a week to print. They have also opened two "All Knight Studys" which are always open and have computers and separate group work areas. The library has 5 floors 3 of which offer computers and each level has a different noise level. The library also offers presentation areas and group study areas both of which come in handy.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: You will be able to find almost anything that you want right around campus.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Always nice out. It can get pretty hot in the summer but that is what the beach is for.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: The only thing I've noticed is the parking. I could not figure out where to park so I parked in the only available space and ran to my car before the lady gave me a ticket because I didn't have a permit. I was there for 15 minutes.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Orlando is by far one of the best places to live. There is always something to do and there are jobs everywhere. We have everything from Disney to Art shows. Orlando is quite diverse and there is a place for everyone to fit in.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: I have never been involved in the Greek life nor have I attended one of the events. I know people involved in Greek life and they are all very nice and don't talk about it very often.

College Sophomore

Transportation: I have always had my own vehicle so I'm not quite sure what the transportation options are that are available.

5 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There are always parties going on nearby. The bars around UCF are fun if you're not yet 21 but Downtown Orlando is always a blast if you are 21+.

Weather: Weather isn't bad. Of course we live in Florida so it's humid and rains but we have beaches!

4 Recent Alumnus

Academics: The science courses at UCF are difficult, however, I feel confident that they have prepared me. Dr. Samsam's anatomy course and Dr. Saleh's pathophysiology course are 2 classes that I worked very hard in and learned so much! I recommend them to anyone.

4 Recent Alumnus

Off-Campus Dining: There are SO many dining options near the school. On campus and off. Student discounts aren't encountered all that often but there are coupons books that UCF hands out that were helpful.

5 Recent Alumnus

Majors: I got my first degree in Health Services Administration and I loved the classes and the professors for the most part. I am now going for Health Sciences Pre-Clinical to become a physician assistant and although the classes are very tough for me, I know they are preparing me for graduate school.

4 Recent Alumnus

Majors: I was an average student in high school and I then earned my AA through my local community college. Because I had my AA, it was easier for me to get into UCF because I bypassed some of the general degree courses.

3 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: Financial aid comes in different forms. First, I received Bright Futures and then I lost it. There is SO much money lost in scholarships that I never knew existed! It is a hassle to fill out forms but if it takes a bit of work to get money for tuition, it is MORE than worth the time!

4 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: UCF has a safety emergency system in place that e-mails and texts students if something goes wrong on campus. It makes me feel extremely safe.

3 Recent Alumnus

Computers: The library has great computers if you can grab a free one. Wi-Fi is a bit shady and sometimes doesn't work properly.

UCF is growing by leaps and bounds. The students love to hang out, and they all know how to have a good time. There’s so much to do and there’s something for everyone. Do you really need any more reasons to go to college in Florida?

Orlando is an exciting city with tons of attractions and activities available to all. In many ways, going to school at UCF resembles a four-year vacation (Disney on Sunday, classes on Monday!). Downtown Orlando on a Friday night can, at times, seem like Mardi Gras, and City Walk on a Saturday night isn’t to be missed. Also, Floridians are welcoming and friendly and most students at UCF make friends quickly and easily. Friendly faces and sunny skies, what more could a college student ask for? The stellar academics, up-and-coming sports teams, and state-of-the-art facilities are reason enough to spend the next four years of your life at UCF; the city of Orlando is just one big fringe benefit. Come join us!
