Athletics: Our sports teams are well known in the city and across the country! There is always a big turn out for support as well. We have lots of school spirit!

Academics: Academic wise the school is great. There are many services to ensure you are on the right track with your requirements, grades, finals, etc. The opportunities for internships and jobs are also quite apparent.

Academics: My experiences with my professors and curriculum have been pleasant. The registration process for early acceptance was straight forward and very rewarding! The workload was a challenge at first due to the transition between high school to post-secondary, but I was able to adjust within two weeks.

Weather: Winters making transportation to campus, and in between classes more time-consuming and difficult. But the campus does look pretty covered in snow!

Off-Campus Housing: Cost and availability can make it challenging for students who wish to live off-campus, but still away from home/parents.

Computers: Wifi is good and reliable. Though finding a free computer is hard to do! Libraries and labs are almost always full.

Greek Life: "Greek life" means more "charity life". From my experiences with any of the sororities or fraternities, they are raising money or awareness for some kind of cause and it is heart warming!

Local Atmosphere: Being right near downtown there is lots going on, with a lot of acknowledgement towards the university as well. Public events for the university draws out not only student and stuff, but also citizens of the city (for sporting events, concerts, etc.)

Parking: Parking downtown is expensive and impossible! Most students just take the bus or lrt honestly.

Diversity: There are many different students and staff, from all different types of backgrounds. People from all across the world, with varying political beliefs, religion and sexual orientation. And most have clubs or organizations to represent them as well! It's a beautiful sight to see.

Facilities: There are a couple spots that need renovating, but it's happening slowly! Other then that, the facilities are amazing. The gym, mental health centers, libraries, quad is all super amazing, and provide so much to it's students. The traditions are heart warming, the activities that sometimes appear on campus are hilarious or just so adorable like our puppy therapy days! Everyone has the chance to really feel apart of the school with all the different activities and spaces available around campus.

Facilities: The campus life and social scene really make it stand apart for me. I felt instantly like a member of the school as soon as I stepped onto campus for the first time. It's very welcoming and accommodating to all of it's varying students and staff.

Overall Experience: I love University! I have meet so many great people, learned so many things (not only from textbooks) and have had an amazing experience so far. And it's only been one year!! I love that my school is still close to home, allowing me to see my friends and family. It's welcoming to all it's students, and accommodating as well. I wouldn't choose another university to go to if I could redo it all over!

Drug Safety: Any public event on campus that involves alcohol is licensed, gated, and you need ID in order to get in. Policy is strict!

Campus Housing: I do not live on campus, but I visit dorms all the time. They aren't the most best and spacious room, but the social atmosphere is great - everyone is friendly, welcoming and respectful! Everyone knows their boundaries.

Nightlife: Campus is right near downtown so it's super fun!

Guys & Girls: I find that university is a great place to meet new people who are interested in similar things as you. It's easier to talk to people, start conversations, etc.

Off-Campus Dining: There is lots to choose from, being so close to downtown. But it can be very expensive, especially for a full-time student! It's a fight between good food/nutrition and cost always.

4 College Student

Health & Safety: The campus goes out of it's way to ensure it's students safety - i.e., safe walk is a great, student ran organization that is actually used all the time! The emergency help stations are really reassuring as well.

4 College Student

Transportation: The U-Pass, which allows us to take the bus, LRT, etc. in between the main city and surrounding is great! The bus and lrt stations are close to campus and are easy to use and find.

3 College Student

Scholarships: The scholarships I received by applying alone were simple and easy. The process to acquire my student loan was long and complicated, and honestly I am still confused by it, but I still am having to get one every single year in order to complete university!

Weather: It really depends on what months you're in Calgary. Winters are long and cold.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: ThursDen. Every Thursday is students night and the line up is always ridiculous. About half are generally first years living in res though.

3 College Freshman

Computers: There are multiple updated computer labs throughout the school, making it easier if you don't have a laptop. However, whether you're on your own computer or the school's the wi-fi connection definitely leaves something to be desired.
