3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: I'm not too familiar with Baltimore but it has a good atmosphere so far.

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere at the University of Baltimore is fairly safe as we have reliable campus security. Although we occasionally hear about minor thefts but I have not heard of anyone being hurt for as long as I have been here. The campus is close to downtown, inner harbor which is very convenient as it is a place to unwind, relax, grab a bite to eat especially when you have long breaks in between your classes.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: We are downtown so we have many places around to eat and shop. I just don't like how many robberies there are at night, but they are not as much as the previous semester. We need more PARTIES, so I can meet more students.

2 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: It's bad because I dislike the city environment and I like suburban areas more.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Because the school is downtown there is always something to do and the city offers a free bus system which is great way to get around downtown

The University of Baltimore is located in the heart of Baltimore's Midtown area. There are a lot of sight-seeing activities nearby, including landmark areas like the Inner Harbor, night clubs, food spots, and museums. The Lyric Opera House and the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall are great entertainment spots for concerts, musical acts, and plays. The UB students get discounts for shows, including past events like Toni Morrison, Russell Simmons, and other inspirational speakers coming to the area.

The atmosphere at UB is the best any student could ask for. With the city of Baltimore literally at students' fingertips, there are plenty of opportunities for fun, learning, and a social life.
