College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I don't know much about off campus living I've only lived on campus.

2 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I don't feel that safe on the campus all the time but I just pray and I feel safe again. Campus crime isn't as bad as the local crime.

1 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The local people kill too much. I don't really leave the campus but the mall is okay , never have to wait in line because no one is hardly ever there

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: The only that's unique about it is that it's a HBCU.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Student campus life is alright , we have a lot of things to do around campus from time to time.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The food is horrible , it's always chicken usually and it never taste good. It's not a lot of variety.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I'm okay with the program I wish they had more major to choose from, if I could do it all over I think I would change my major but I doubt it . My career goal is to graduate with honors and get a good job so I can continue to help others.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: Really all you have to do is apply for the program. If you are admitted I to the school you can enter the program.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The university has it's up's and down 's I would return because most of the people are really cool and my best experiences were the parties and athletic games. The school is so unique to me because it's and HBCU

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: To live in the dorms I stayed in last year , they treated you like babies and gave you no freedom. The best thing about living there was that you had a roof over your head and the worst was that the rules were too strict for college. The social athmosphere was pretty nice though.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The off campus foods are really all fast food restaurants like Burger King, McDonalds ,Pizza Hut , KFC etc. I know Rally's is the only place that's gives a student discount.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: I feel as if the whole city supports the athletics of the university especially the football team. I've seen the football team do a lot if community service and help others. The school has good school spirit mostly when they are winning but every Friday everyone wears the school colors.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors are really good with helping you especially after class hours and their teaching technique are very unique, I really like the biology major they offer because it's a lot of hands on learning and not all just book work. I love the registration process as well it's usually always smooth and never takes longer than about 10-15 minutes.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Being in my major is okay I guess I really haven't been there long enough to give you all a lot of details on it because I will only be a sophomore entering this school year. One thing I do know is the work we have to do really does teach me things I would need to know later on in the future and I've heard we have really good internships

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Sit in restaurants are really rare in Pine Bluff but chain restaurants such as McDonalds Taco Bell and Pizza Hut a very common

2 College Sophomore

Computers: computers are accessible at UAPB but the wifi is not really good. when the wifi works the speed of the network is really good but if you don't have wifi you really can't access anything on campus

2 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: the only positive thing about having a meal plan is that you get to have flex dollars. the campus is not really appetizing everyday people eat it anyway

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: although my school is not really up to date, it is very family oriented and everyone gets along.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: student life on campus is great everyone shows support for either sport related events or on campus related events

5 College Sophomore

Nightlife: My HBCU definitely knows how to party. The night life is amazing. Everyone generally gets along. A party is usually held at the steakhouse or someone's house.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Academics are praised dearly on campus. The workload is very intimidating but possible to complete. Registry is a big pain to student. Facility tends to move slow But it gets done. UAPB is known for science, math, and technology.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Broadcast journalism is a great field to go in. Although the workload might not be as tough as other majors but it certainly teaches you everything you need to know.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greeks are everything on campus. Although there are more non-greeks than anything. The Greeks do a lot for the community and the campus. They throw decent parties and host decent events on campus. They're most definitely loved by many. Greek housing is not very popular.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The housing is really intolerant. Most buildings are not in very good condition and there are many pest issues. Janitorial cleaning is very lazy. Also the cost is ridiculous, but that's pretty much any college. Other than the looks people seem to look past it an enjoy their time.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I really enjoy studying my major at UAPB. They're very helpful to any needs relating to class work. Campus involvement relating to my major is excellent. Being apart of the radio station has been and will be an amazing experience. I chose this major in hopes to become a sports commentator for sports center. I love television and I love sports even more. I have been doing many internships already as an upcoming sophomore in college; therefore I have no worries of finding employment after graduating.
