Off-Campus Housing: It depends on where you chose to live.

College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: I am a non traditional student and live off campus in another city so I can not speak to living near the school.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: The parking involving anything with this school is lacking. I live with my parents so I don't really know much about housing.

College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I don't know. I don't live around campus.

2 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: They up there safety just this year. But schools not located in the best of community's so off campus living wouldn't be anywhere close. But that's my opinion I like an hour away from my school.

    Best Off-Campus Housing Options

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

It isn't the easiest task to find off-campus housing here, but it is possible. Coleman Place, an apartment complex across the street from UALR, is probably the most popular. It only rents apartments to college students, and many UALR students who don’t live on campus or commute from home live in Coleman Place. It is convenient for students who want independence but also want to live close to the University.

Coleman Place residents are a mix of UALR students, as well as students from different college in Little Rock, including Philander Smith College and Arkansas Baptist College. This apartment complex is usually occupied by upperclassmen, so students attending college for the first time do not have the best chances of securing a place in Coleman Place. But it’s an option for the future—and can be worth the wait since amenities there include a 24-hour fitness center, basketball court, game room, and swimming pool!
