4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: it's small but worth it

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Everyone here at the university cares about the person rather than their religious affiliation, sexual orientation, or race.

2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Unless you want to eat breakfast, there is not much in terms of places to eat Off-Campus.

College Freshman

Academics: I never notice any alumni.

3 College Freshman

Weather: It rains a lot, but it's something Alaskans are used to. It does not change my campus experience at all.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I have never really looked into Off-Campus Housing, so I do not know much about it.

College Freshman

Greek Life: We don't have Greek life at my university.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: I love the size of Juneau, for my upbringing in a small town. It's a nice place and very relaxing. It would be nice to have more events and activities available for students.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The university has a basketball court, which can host a variety of sports, but would really benefit with a turf field of some sort.

3 College Freshman

Computers: Without a laptop, you have to compete with students to use a computer. There are plenty of opportunities to use a computer, but get filled up fairly quickly.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Occasionally, you'll see students smoking marijuana, but it is not much of a problem.

4 College Freshman

Nightlife: I love walking, and take late night strolls. During these walks, I never feel uncomfortable or in danger. The dorms and the campus are both a safe place during the evening.

5 College Freshman

Parking: There's always an open space.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It's a smaller campus so they don't offer as much benefits as bigger schools. The university doesn't offer much in terms of clubs and groups

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I do enjoy my program. Im going for my associates in business administration online. UAS offers this whole degree online, which is very helpful to me since I'm a single mom. The classes are pretty cut and dry. We read out of the text, have discussions about what we read or on a specific question. We have midterms and finals and quizzes.

5 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The financial aid office was very helpful. I applied for a scholarship at the school and actually got it.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: There are a lot of outdoor activities that you can do.

5 College Sophomore

Transportation: There is a bus stop right in front of the library building.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Its a very sociable school as far as I can tell. Ive only been to the campus a few times but everyone was really nice.

College Sophomore

Diversity: I am not to sure about this.

College Sophomore

Athletics: There are no school sports at the school that I am attending.

College Sophomore

Weather: Again I do not attend school on campus. Although I can imagine that the weather would affect some of the classes that partake in their lessons outside.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: There are not a lot of options for housing near the school. I live all the way in Douglas which is about a 25 minute drive to the school. I guess it's not to bad compared to other students who live in bigger cities.

College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I am not sure I do not partake in parties. I have a daughter and I am trying my best to make a life for her. Drinking and drugging are not a part of my schedule.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The school is kind of farther away from any restaurants. Anywhere you choose to go though is worth the drive.
