3 College Junior

Nightlife: Its not like it is down south or in bigger cities but could be fun. The best parties would be bon fire parties on the beach.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I'm from Alaska and spent my summers in this town so i sometimes wish i would have went out of state for different experiences.

4 College Junior

Computers: I have my own laptop but when i needed a certain program that i didn't have the money to buy the school had computers in the labs with the program so it was helpful.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: I dont partake in any drugs, so i don't really see it, and i also don't really see people that look like they are on drugs.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Town is pretty spread out so there is a little bit of driving but theres a decent amount of choices.

1 College Junior

Athletics: No sports teams even though they used to back in the 80's. Would be nice to have at least basketball teams even if they participated against community colleges.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Its a place for someone that loves that outdoors and all that it has to offer. Mountains, glaciers, lakes, ocean, and wildlife.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I have friends that have had issues getting theres which also causes issues for getting books but thats why you plan ahead.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Mostly people that are into outdoors. Clothes are southeast alaska usual wearing boots jeans and a hoodie or jacket.

3 College Junior

Academics: The combination of online classes and in class classes is a pain at times.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus.

4 College Junior

Majors: Its easy to get into the major the only issue i have encountered was that to get my degree, there are quite a few online classes that you have to take which at first was hard and made my GPA drop.

2 College Sophomore

Athletics: We don't have many sport groups at UAS.

5 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is amazing. The nature around us goes perfectly with the people that live here.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: The internet is alright, not the best but not the worst. I think it's due to the effect the weather has on the internet in Alaska.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: There are some things UAS could work on, but I think its a great school.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: UAS lacks a fraternity chapter on campus. We have our own version of it, but it's not very developed.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: Ketchikan, Thrives on the fishing industry so alot of rentals are seasonal only and useually rented out to the highest bidder.

4 College Student

Local Atmosphere: Ketchikan, Alaska is an outdooors mans dream, there are plenty of trails to walk including one right on campus. There is fishing, Shopping is just right down the hill from campus. The comunity is very much an artist paradise as well, with so much local talent.

3 College Student

Campus Housing: We don't have on campus housing, it's a small community so students rent apartments.

5 College Freshman

Academics: All of the teachers I've had seem interested in their subject matter; I really enjoyed my classes.

College Freshman

Scholarships: I did not apply for financial aid this semester, so my review is not possible.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I have no issues with the health and safety services, but I also haven't used them much.

3 College Freshman

Parking: There could always be more parking, but it's free and most days you can find a free spot.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: The school seemed to have people who were not knowledgeable about which scholarships they offer.
