2 College Senior

Campus Strictness: the campus goes a bit overboard on the visitation in the dorms. The fact that I am 30 years old and have to check in with an 18 year old to have a friend over to study is a bit ridiculous.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Bag checks on the weekend at the dorms to be sure that students aren't sporting alcohol or drugs when they shouldn't be, patrol cars to make sure that students aren't doing anything they shouldn't be out late at night to ensure safety.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: It could be better, it could be worse. You're welcome to have people over whenever you want, they can stay, but there are limits on the number of times someone can stay, which is very understandable

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: A generally accepting mindset in the form of a 'live and let live' attitude seems to exist between the administration and the student body. With that said, there are certain issues with the effectiveness of the University Police Department. After having several items stolen from what should have been a secured area, the police where generally unhelpful in any sort of active role towards recovering my property.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: UAF is strict on certain things that may affect student safety but does a good job of making sure students still feel free to live their lives by having civil protests and drinking in the dorms if they're over 21 and have a roommate also over 21.
