4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Anchorage has allot of outdoor activities with in a short distance

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Not much to do in the city, but surrounded by great outdoor activities. Hiking is everywhere, including in the city limits. Snowsports are king, and in the summer there are plenty of camping and hiking throughout the state.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: It is one of the biggest cities in Alaska, and a large amount of people live in the area. You do have to go so distance to get out of campus areas.

4 College Student

Local Atmosphere: Kenai Peninsula is the most scenic and serene place to be. While we are limited on Big City amenities, you learn to love the little things.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I have lived here my whole life and it has the most beautiful scenery on the planet. If you are the outdoorsy type Alaska is the place for you. As far as music there aren't many famous live shows that come to Anchorage, but I guarantee you can find some form of live music any day of the week. The atmosphere in most bars is pretty nice.weekend nights they are pretty crowded and loud. You can usually find a good ski premier to watch at the Wendy Williamson during the winter, or a great play to watch in the summer at the PAC. Anchorage is full of adventure and culture.
