3 College Sophomore

Academics: Allied health sciences programs require practical training at the end of the program. The local hospitals host students for the practical and offer hands on training.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are virtually no undergraduate research opportunities. UAA is attempting to diversify their academic program offerings.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Student housing is expensive, but all off campus housing is expensive as well.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: We have a good athletic center, though the student body has begun to outgrow the facility. A new sports complex is being constructed. The library facility is large and has many computer labs. The school also provides access to many academic and research publications.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: New buildings are being built every couple of years. UAA is trying to diversify and improve their science and allied health programs.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Alaska provides a variety of outdoor activities and most girls and guys are outgoing and active.

1 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The financial aid officers aren't very helpful and often rude.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: From what I seen everyone gets a long pretty good I never witnessed anything bad towards anyone based on any of these things.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: They're rules and people must follow them and expect to pay the consequences.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Its alright just mostly the big chain restaurant not as much as the lower 48

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love going to UAA and taking classes from other campuses its pretty simple. I like it here and would definitely go here again if i had to.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: summer is alright, except when it rains nonstop you can really do a whole lot. If you like winter sports then during the winter is a fun time to be here. It all depends on the person really some people like it here and some don't

4 College Sophomore

Transportation: You can use the public bus for free by showing your id and you can rent cars that you can use for around town and traveling. The shuttle is a good way to travel to different locations at campus.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The professors I have had all have been great and I have learned a lot. Registration is really easy once you know the classes and CRN numbers. Workload depends on the professor and what major you're pursuing.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I am doing the digital arts degree right now through KPC and so far I have liked all of there classes and I found them fun. The photography classes have a lot of work and time you have to put into them but over all I still liked them.

College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I think that everyones different and everyone has different views on everybody. I take online classes from campus so overall I have good contact through blackboard with my classmates

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: I liked subway it tasted good.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: It is definitely easier to live on campus instead of finding your own apartment. Unless you have a good roommate and a vehicle.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: They have two great places to get meals, but only one has the dining plans all you can eat diner. However, the other has a very diverse amount of foods available.

3 College Freshman

Majors: The major is rather confusing and my advisor really helped when working through them to my ultimate goal.

College Freshman

Majors: I have not had the chance to participate in an internship on campus.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Sometimes they are hard to talk to in the beginning but they loosen up. There are a lot of athletes on campus.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: You see the campus police more in the parking areas. However, the health center is very well done and useful for students.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The best places to buy food when a student is certainly the places on campus within the dining plans.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: When looking at transportation between my permanent home and the school the airport is best. However, when between different towns that are closer to Anchorage it is passenger bus or train.
