4 College Freshman

Facilities: Student life on campus is booming to say the least ! There is always something to do no matter what your interests are.

3 College Freshman

Parking: There are plenty of spaces to park, although spots fill quickly.

Greek Life: The Greek life is very important on campus. The white Greeks have better houses and whole rows dedicated to their frats or sororities, compared to the nine frats and sororities that blacks have combined. There are only one house for one black frat and one house for one black sorority, and they are nowhere near as nice as the other houses.

Transportation: The campus shuttles are very accessible and convenient. They run at all times of the night and once they stop running, campus offers shuttles to come to your exact location and take you where you need to go.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Football is everything on campus. One of the main reasons a lot of people enroll in the university and people from all over come visit to be apart of the action.

College Freshman

Majors: I am an undergraduate student and am still taking undergraduate classes.

College Freshman

Majors: I have yet to receive an internship.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere of Tuscaloosa is average. There is not really too much to do outside of campus, especially on the weekends and outside of football season.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Campus is so diverse. I meet people from all over the United States, from other countries. Overall, everyone is friendly and fun to be around, going off of the friends that I have mad, personally.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The campus is not very strict on visitation. The alcohol use is a problem if you seem drunk or if caught on campus with an open container of alcohol, if your alcohol is in a plastic cup then the campus security will not stop you.

5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love living in campus! It is always clean and taken care of, even after weekends of people making a mess, the campus is always clean the very next day. The cost of the dorm I am currently living in is $4400. The most expensive on campus, I feel that it is worth it for the quality of the dorms.

3 College Freshman

Academics: I am very satisfied with my professors, they take things slow and are always available whenever I need help or have questions.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Being a fashion marketing major, I take a lot of art history classes. Overall, my workload is easy and not too much. The advisers work with you to show you what classes are necessary towards your major.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: I was very surprised about the dining options, because we have so much variety. The dining hall closest to my dorm stays open late and has great quality food.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel relatively safe walking alone on campus, day and night.

3 College Freshman

Computers: Campus provides numerous libraries and computer labs, so bringing your own computer isn't completely necessary yet essential for doing homework without the hassle of going to a library. The network could be improved, it runs terribly slow sometimes throughout the day.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: The student life on campus is great! From the athletic centers to the classrooms, I am very satisfied with the University and am grateful for being here.

4 College Freshman

Weather: The weather in Tuscaloosa is similar to the weather in my hometown, Mobile, AL. One day it is scorching hot, the next day it's freezing. The weather does not affect my overall campus experience.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek life is a major part of UA and something I would advise everyone to join in on.

University of Alabama students constantly brag about their school’s traditions and spirit, and their pride is shown throughout the town. Some say it’s the incredible education that drew them here, and others say it’s Bama football that brought them to this Southern school. But no matter what reason these students choose to come to UA, most believe it was the best choice they could have made.

After graduation, some students get a job, some further their education by going to UA’s grad school, and some even go to UA’s law school. No matter what the students decide to do with their future, they believe Bama has prepared them for it. Students advise upcoming freshmen to walk around the Quad, visit the Strip, or watch a football game to understand why so many love UA.
