Off-Campus Dining: There is a wide variety of restaurants off campus that range in cost and convenience. There are many different ethnic restaurants as well as your typical fast food joints.

Local Atmosphere: I would rather be up in Heaven. Attractions involve the lake.

3 College Student

Guys & Girls: Most people just stay with their significant other and leave everyone else alone.

4 College Student

Academics: There are many opportunities to work at the school.

Off-Campus Dining: There are no student discounts. I think that there should be. Most of all the good things to eat are about 12 min. away.

College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Many of the girls where the same type of clothing every single day. Sorority t-shirts are everywhere as well as t-shirts from other organizations on campus.

College Sophomore

Facilities: There are always things to get involved in, as long as you try.

Facilities: I am a part of Resonance which is a student run show choir that has been an amazing creative outlet for students in all different majors. Game days are amazing as well. No other school has an atmosphere of rich tradition quite like UA.

Health & Safety: It depends on your needs. The good news health-wise is that DCH hospital is practically on campus.

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many places to eat, it's ridiculous. I live less than a mile from campus, and I pass many different restaurants on my way to class every morning.

Campus Housing: I lived in a suite style dorm for 2 years, and it was very nice. There were four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room type of area, and a kitchenette.

Campus Strictness: It's really easy to get away with underaged drinking as long as you're being safe. The campus police will give you a ride home if you call for help, but if they find you stumbling around, you will get in trouble. They'd rather students be safe than get hurt trying to avoid getting in trouble.

5 College Sophomore

Computers: There are computer labs in buildings all over campus, and in the libraries you have macs or PCs to choose from.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There are plenty of options when it comes to eating on campus, but some of the dining halls are not of the best quality.

Overall Experience: I love the university of Alabama. There are so many opportunities to get involved in student organizations, there's a program of study for any interest, and the football fun ins't bad either!

University of Alabama students constantly brag about their school’s traditions and spirit, and their pride is shown throughout the town. Some say it’s the incredible education that drew them here, and others say it’s Bama football that brought them to this Southern school. But no matter what reason these students choose to come to UA, most believe it was the best choice they could have made.

After graduation, some students get a job, some further their education by going to UA’s grad school, and some even go to UA’s law school. No matter what the students decide to do with their future, they believe Bama has prepared them for it. Students advise upcoming freshmen to walk around the Quad, visit the Strip, or watch a football game to understand why so many love UA.
