3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The best thing about Tuscaloosa is the campus, but shopping and food is pretty good.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek life is incredible for Greeks and probably annoying for non-Greeks. It's clear that the Greek system runs the school and has the best of everything, including parties, housing, and student representation in most organizations.

Diversity: I can't imagine most universities have quite as limited diversity

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: I would assume this is average at a large SEC school.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The wireless speed i s slow and the network is not that reliable. You need your own computer

4 College Freshman

Academics: I think my major is really good. Workload is not unbearable

College Freshman

Majors: I didn't have to apply to get into my major. I just picked it.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I haven't had too much experience with it, but teachers are passionate and many programs are available.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Incomparable to any other school. The constant school spirit and obsession with football often extends to other sports.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Alcohol is very prominent on campus, and drugs are accessible.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: Of course in Roll Tide Country, football is the biggest athletic program in the country. Besides gymnastics, football is the number one talked about sport at Bama.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I've loved living here on campus. Ever since I stepped foot here, I knew this was home.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Dining off campus is actually really great. Chipotle and Newk's are number one contenders

3 College Freshman

Parking: Parking is such a hassle, and finding a great parking spot is like an act of God.

5 College Freshman

Computers: Computers are great here. They're up to date and the cost of use is lenient.

4 College Freshman

Weather: The tornado that happened a few years back still takes a toll on dangerous weather outbreaks here and people do take than seriously, but there haven't been any dangerous weather outbreaks this year.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: The strictness here on campus is much more than I expected...and it's a positive surprise.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: i wish i could do it but its way too expensive

University of Alabama students constantly brag about their school’s traditions and spirit, and their pride is shown throughout the town. Some say it’s the incredible education that drew them here, and others say it’s Bama football that brought them to this Southern school. But no matter what reason these students choose to come to UA, most believe it was the best choice they could have made.

After graduation, some students get a job, some further their education by going to UA’s grad school, and some even go to UA’s law school. No matter what the students decide to do with their future, they believe Bama has prepared them for it. Students advise upcoming freshmen to walk around the Quad, visit the Strip, or watch a football game to understand why so many love UA.
