4 College Freshman

Online Courses: Some classes are very easy while others are extremely difficult due to the certain amount of self-teaching that has to go on for you to excel. Professors and other students are very responsive and most of the time, there is no problem grouping up on a project.

College Sophomore

Online Courses: I am not taking any of the online courses given by my school.

College Freshman

Online Courses: I am not taking any online courses

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I've only taken 1 online course and it was definitely not what I expected. I thought it was going to be dull and non interactive, i was so wrong! Class was actually interesting and engaging. Professor was online every time I needed him and the video conferences really helped!

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: The online courses are fantastic. They are easy to follow, employ lectures, video lectures, projects, etc. All the stuff a campus class would have.

Online and on-campus classes share one similarity that keeps the online courses from being too alien: the shell. Even campus courses have an online destination or "shell" for work completion. The online courses use the exact same kind of shell. Overall, the online courses don't differ too much compared to being in the classroom. The teacher still stays active, assigning due dates, tests, and quizzes. The lectures online are essentially PowerPoint presentations of different subjects and topics.

You communicate with other students as you would in a classroom. The online classes offered at UAT remain very active and social. Since the shell is the same for either type of class, the students are still required to talk and communicate with each other as if they were in a classroom. Classes at UAT are the same genuine, fulfilling experience, whether they are online or in the classroom. Students still gain tons of insight and experience with an online class.

Facts & Statistics

Required Tech Skills
You don't have to be very tech-savvy because there is no huge difference for online or offline courses; they use the same online service or shell.
Typical Online Lecture - Single Day
Class days don't really exist online. You log on as you please; just get the work in on time!
Typical Online Course - Start to Finish
From start to finish, the online courses offered are exactly what the students make them out to be: engaging or boring and uninteresting. Most classes are still very involved and engaging.
Online Testing & Grading
Tests and quizzes are administered online. It's very similar to stuff you would do for on-campus classes.
Did You Know?
The shell (online system) is the same for online and on-campus classes.
