1 College Sophomore

Nightlife: You can take the train to New York City...then you have all the night light you can get your hands on.

1 College Senior

Nightlife: The Firstie bar is open to seniors from 6:30 to 11. And that's it.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: absolutely nothing to do. Friday nights and weekends consist of working out, hw, and watching Netflix (that's assuming you don't have to do some bulls*** like SAMI or drill or SHARP training or driver's training or respect training or honor training or walk hours or go to a football game or guard duty or many, many other duties that are boring as hell)

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: New York City is accessible, but if you are thinking about going to West Point for its raging party scene, don't.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: No Night Life – West Point is a Military Academy. There is no night life for the plebes (freshman). Only the upperclassmen can leave on the weekends, and even then, sometimes there is too much schoolwork so people generally do not go off campus that often.

Most cadets are not satisfied with the nightlife, but the majority of them did not expect much of a nightlife scene, either. On post, there are limited opportunities for cadets to unwind. Upperclass cadets can go to the Firstie Club, and any cadet can go to Ike Hall to catch a movie or see a performance. As for dance clubs, they don't exist in Highland Falls. The bars are equally limited in their selection. Most cadets don't seem too interested in mingling with the locals, either. There is a little hope, though.

For cadets who desire nightlife, they have one of four options: Newburgh, New Paltz, Poughkeepsie, or New York City. And, of course, students can always visit other universities to see what normal college nightlife is like. But beyond that, there are a couple of small, hick bars just outside the gate. Besides that, there is nothing. Don't go to West Point for the nightlife. You will be sorely disappointed.
