Student Body: The student body is very diverse, but segmented. People that have their different attributes in common usually stay to their own groups. Not many outgoing individuals that go out of their way to meet new people. It reminds me of a high school. The school is great for academics, in my opinion, because of select teachers, such as Dr. Singer and Professor Weintraub, who have single-handedly changed my life and my thinking. I really believe that is depends on the person.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The FAFSA paid for my three semesters of college in between my transition from Albright College to getting accepted to Rutgers. Financial Aid office is great and they are very helpful, they help and facilitate the process of students, like me, that are in unique and difficult circumstances.

Overall Experience: The school is great for academics. The teachers, especially this one teacher, Dr. Singer, really helped me learn how to question, not necessarily focus on the right answer, because many times "right" can be vague or simply based on personal opinion. I loved some of the people that I met, but I had to go out of my way to meet them because the school itself is very segmented, but very diverse nonetheless. People of like interest stay within their circles most of the time as if they were forced, the student body almost gives me a High School feel, that wasn't an issue for me because I am outgoing, but for someone that is not like me, they might have some trouble finding a friend if they themselves do not take initiative to start a conversation. I am a breakdancer, I did not expect to find other break dancers at that school and I did, and I was able to befriend them. Like I said, a very diverse school. I also enjoy donating blood, the school is great for having the blood drive at the school once a semester. I would do it all over, but I prefer to keep looking towards the future, I learned what I needed to learn from that experience. Overall great school, people just need to come out of their shells a little bit.

Academic Flexibility: I spoke with UCC administration explaining the courses I had already taken at my previous college and they allowed me to use my unofficial transcript from that college to show me which courses I should take while at UCC. I did not intend to receive a degree from them, this is because I fully intended, and just got accepted to, Rutger's Business School. The faculty and the administration care about their students overall, it is inevitable that one might be having a bad day or personal issues that may affect the experience that day, but from what I have seen and dealt with, there is a strong concern for the student s and their needs at Union County College, in Cranford, NJ.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The financial aid office does everything in their power to make it work for their students. If there is a will there's a way.

Academic Flexibility: I work many hours from all times of the day. Union county college offers online classes to make going to school feasible. I talk to counselors and other workers and they tell me about the teachers behave and instruct the class.

Academic Flexibility: I never had to transfer credits and i'm just going through the motions

Overall Experience: I'm not upset all the time but I am lonely if at least one of my few friends don't show up. Socially its very upsetting (saddening) at times. If i had the money to go somewhere else, I definitely would.

Campus Resources: Everything is pretty set. you may lose wireless connection here and there but its great

College Senior

Online Courses: I never took an online class. I chose it as a waste of times simply because it was the only thing i could choose that was close to saying that

College Senior

Career Services: i have no knowledge of these things

3 College Senior

Facilities: Well, the only thing unique at our school is a small pocket of students that will go out of their way to talk to you and or dress uniquely

Tuition & Financial Aid: I received a small amount of financial aid my freshman year but as of now, I'm eligible for none. I have taken out a loan for this 2013-2014 school year. The tuition is based on your classes, the fee for tutors, guidance counseling, basic health insurance only if you want it, and if you drive a parking badge. My tip for getting financial aid at my school is to basically be dirt poor, other than that scholarships and grants are your only way out of loans.

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I really like taking online courses, because you can do the work at your speed.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The process of applying for financial aid is very easy.

At Union County College, there are a few drawbacks, such as a lack of a sense of belonging, uncommitted students, difficult administration, and parking. However, there are still a lot of positives, such as the resources available to students, excellent professors, tutoring programs, cost-effectiveness, and the College's diversity. The huge selection of clubs and societies gives students plenty of things to do to keep themselves busy. No new student should have any problem finding something he or she is interested in. County College opens a lot of doors, including scholarships to four-year schools and connections with professors. The knowledge students gain and the things they experience make them stronger and more well-rounded individuals.

County College is certainly not the same experience as a four-year school, but both sides have their positives and negatives. Community college is a great way to save money and then move on to a four-year school. An education is necessary in today's society, and County College is a leap in the right direction toward a bright, educational future.
