3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The schedules are difficult, and limited inventory.

3 College Junior

Career Services: The career center at this school is very helpful if you know what you are doing but if you just stumble in confused as I have done, they get slightly confusing and intimidating.

College Junior

Online Courses: i have not had personal experience with the online courses at my college but someone i know took one and she said that they were easy to register for and participate in and they were definitely worth taking.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I enjoy coming to this school. I've never had trouble getting into classes that I wanted and most of the professors are there to help you along with your academic advisor. I have a long commute to get to school and people ask me why I travel so long and it is because I really like the enviornment here.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I never really used the computers much, but when I did I never had trouble finding an open computer in the library or in a computer lab.

3 College Junior

Student Body: The students at my school are hardworking because they are there to learn and be successful. I notice that there are many older people there because they are back in school to either earn a degree or change their career. Many of the students have jobs so they are very busy. Some students also have families that they have to take care of on top of going to school. Everyone works hard towards their career goals.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I feel that I am receiving a great education. I am very hard working and I recieved very good grades for my first semester and I continue to do this well. I get help from my teachers when I need it or even use the Academic Support Center. The tutition at the school is affordable and will help me to get closer to my education goals.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I would like to say that professors are so much different!! Some are very very helpful, sometimes you don't even need to ask them for help and they see your confused face and helps right away, but some are very hard to approach. Some are very rude and don't acknowledge students.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Overall I am very happy to be student at Tunxis, but there are so many students and I feel like there is not enough administrators to make everything work faster. I hate waiting in lines and not being able to solve problems at one place. I had to go from door to door one time and nobody was able to answer my questions. and then finally I ended up in the place where I started.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: There are not enough number of computers in library as I was saying before, also I didn't like the fact that you need to have an id in order to use the computer lab. I was told that I can use an id from the other college NVCC since this is a community college but then I encountered many obstacles using it.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I love the area where student can have lunch and study at the same time at building 600. It's an amazing place to study on my own as well as with my classmates. We enjoy spending time together just talking, studying and having lunch in between classes. I was going to NVCC before , they don't have anything like that in the hallway that is open for everybody.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I love our library, it's so modern and beautiful. We have so many resources but I feel like there in not enough amount of computers. I went a couple of times to the library and had to wait long before I was able to use one, sometimes I just gave up because everybody was working on their own stuff and I had no time to wait.

5 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: i went to tunxis for no out of pocket expense. it was a really good opportunity for me to get my general education for free so i could use all that money to go to a state college after.

2 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Could have better decoration and I believe that the teachers should use the my.commnet since it is provided

4 College Senior

Student Body: While. On campus I am surrounded by many different types of people from different backgrounds. A working mother, a recovering alchohic trying to get back on track, cheerleaders from high school, and even international students who don't understand english!

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I absolutely Love the online course selection at tunxis! Working full time can make it very difficult to find time available to sit in a classroom for hours after work. I can take almost all of the credits necessary for my degree online! Super efficient!

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: The academic counseling department at Tunxis has always been very helpful in my academic path to future. The staff always leads me in the right direction and what best course I should enroll in next.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Considering I don't use the computer lab at my school, I can't necessarily comment on there network. But , from home I haven't run into logging into the network to perform coursework. However, around registration, the host computer does lag.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: I am currently enrolled in two online courses and I absolutely love them! The professors are readily available and the workload is hefty, however the assignments are on a flexible schedule and very comprehendable. Which, makes it very managble for myself while working on average 45 hours per week. Online courses are helpful to me for managing my time, and keeping me focused. I find often that I loose attention while sitting in a classroom, but when I'm in the comfort of my home, I am relaxed and beyond motivated!

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I was nervous about taking online courses. I was also unsure how well I would do because online courses lack classroom interactions. At first, I thought it was going to be hard, but soon I realized I could do it and it's easier and doable since it can be done anytime, and anywhere.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Its been pretty hard to get in touch with my professors outside the classroom and they dont respond to emails even when they give you one to reach them at. Its very difficult.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There are buses that run in and out the campus parking lot so getting there isnt a problem if there is a transportation issue. The campus itself is very pretty.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: I dont know much about post-grad seeing as how I havent graduated yet but I would assume the adivsors at Tunxis would be more than happy to hwlp in career finding.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The libraries is ok, the capus overall is very nice.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: It seems to be ok so far, but there are times when you cant log on or its a bit slow. Overall not bad.
