Campus Resources: At Tunxis, there isn't much for athletic centers or things for extra-curricular activities, but we have a beautiful library with helpful staff. Our academic support center is well staffed full of people ready to assist you. The school in general has a decent aesthetic quality, especially in the newer buildings.

Campus Resources: Easy to use and printers and computers are readily accessible all over campus.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is very reasonable. I do not have financial aid.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I have yet to utilize their services yet so far they are helpful and informative.

Overall Experience: In high school, I wasn't prepared for college like I wish had been. I struggled with A.D.D. And keeping my grades up. When I graduated, I had no idea what to do. Tunxis Community College gave me the oppurtunity to prove I had worth in the academic community so I am extremely grateful to them. If I could do it again, I would've prepared more for college and applied to many schools but I'm very lucky that because I can't do it again, Tunxis was there for me. It is a great school.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There are many helpful tools, along with staff and falculty making every process as simple as possible.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I only took one online course. The professor I had for the course was pleasant but she was very hard to get a hold of. The online session was easy to manuver but not a good match for me.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Overall, I've had a good experience at Tunxis. A majority of the time faculty and staff work very hard to help with my needs and try to work around my busy schedule.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There is quite a selection of classes at Tunxis, so there is always something that will interest you. In addition, all of the teachers I have personally had are teachers at other colleges in CT. I have had teachers that in addition to teaching at Tunxis also teach at CCSU, UConn and others!

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The professors are always involved with the students but only if the student comes up to the teacher. What do you expect? It is college.. The class registration only takes 24 hours. The curriculum varies. Anything from Art study, Music, to Dental and Medical Assisting.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe this experience varies for everyone because simply everyone has different situations. In my experience I got awarded a my first scholarship and proving that it was real and wondering if it was going to be paid on time was stressful. The registration only takes 24 hours. The amount you're paying is pretty much what you get. Tunxis Community College is a great two year college. The women in the Cashier's Office aren't so clear with what they say to you.

Campus Resources: I give Tunxis a A+ for student resources. Tunxis always has available help when students need it. We have a Continuing Education Center, and an Academic center; where all the tutoring that you need is there and tutors are always there for help. Tunxis also has a Student Lounge where students can play ping pong, pool, Xbox 360 and more. When you walk around campus there are also notifications of when the next big student event is. There are also flyers around the whole school.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Tunxis Community College has many computer labs and probably about 30 computers in our library. Tunxis has convenient printers at each computer station in the labs and library. The networks range is all right, but you can only get it in some spots. Students have a choice whether or not to bring their own personal computers to work on their own tasks.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The reason I give Tunxis a B- is because I know that they do they best that they can to provide the best for students to overcome their goals and aspirations but at the same time, they're not an Ivy League school either. I think Tunxis Community College has a lot to offer rather than the other community colleges around the area. Tunxis offers a variety of courses and certificate classes that you can take in about 2 to 3 months. The staff there is great but they do mean business. Tunxis Community College will not let you down. The major that I'm looking forward to graduating with is Business Office Technology. The professors push you hard to earn the grade you deserve and feel good doing it at the same time.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: There is a courtyard, where students can freely play frisbee or throw around a football. There is also a small playground for children as well as a cafe.

4 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I haven't really used any resources, but I know they have a tutoring center available for free for students and knowing that that's there for me is great. The library is a decent size and the people there are always willing to help.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I attended another school prior to coming to Tunxis Community College, and I can say that this school is better. The professors seem to care more about the students passing the class. The only frustration I had was how one of my professors rarely gave A's on speeches, but it only made me work harder.

2 College Senior

Student Body: every one is friendly but they like doing their own thing

1 College Senior

Academic Experience: i think our school suxs with the class registration process it is very disoragnized and you never get the classes you want

4 College Senior

Student Body: They are all nice and the student makeup usually consist of part-time worker and mostly full-time students.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: The school is very organized and has many opportunities and avenues for everything a student may need. They have facility for daycare, local experience trips, nursing facility, campus security. The school is well rounded in all aspects and if it does not have something you may need or want you have a great chance to get it started, they are ever expanding.

College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am in my first class since returning and do not have a grade yet but all work has been prepared to more than satisfactory standards.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: If you are not too fast you may miss your class register, they are getting full so fast that you cant even see that.. and well there is no way to do anything with that. And hours are sometimes bad

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Actally, every eucation is worth money, however some schools/proffesors do not know how to provide it for student. I do think so that Tunxis CC Profesors are very good and they teach very well. So i grade whole school for A !
