4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: I am always satisfied when I venture off-campus to eat, and frequently do since it's walking distance from my dorm. I have my favorites, but there are always new places to try and everybody has their favorite restaurant in Davis.

5 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Nearby Davis square has a huge variety of delicious places to eat, with great options for people with any dietary restriction and a taste for any cuisine. Students' most frequent complaint is the early closing times of restaurants. However, there are plenty of delivery options for late night snacking.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Lots of greaty off-campus dining options ranging from delis, pizza places, to more ethnic food. Mostly affordable and close to campus.

5 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: With Boston so close, you can virtually eat anything you want. Even the food places in the local squares (Davis, Teele, Ball, etc.) are pretty good, diverse, cheap, and open late.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Tufts is right by Davis Square, which, in the past 10 years, has undergone major development and is now a functioning hub of places to eat and shop. There are many different cuisines available -- Sushi, Ramen, Middle Eastern, Chinese, Italian, American, Mexican, Tibetan, Indian, to name a few.

Dining off campus can be a great way to bring a little more excitement into your diet, and it’s also a great way to explore the local communities. There are some restaurants already affiliated with Tufts through the MOPS program, and Medford and Somerville have some excellent dining options. If you want to trek a little further, Harvard Square and surrounding Boston, particularly the North End, are full of hundreds of different kinds of foods and local specialties.

Students will often go out to big dinners, lunches, or brunches at local restaurants. Be careful, though, because going out to dinner a lot can get expensive, so make sure to limit dining out to special occasions. Not to worry, though, “settling” for Tufts on-campus eating options certainly does not spell out d-o-o-m for anyone.
